I am completely new to webpage design and have enjoyed some parts of it! I have just been teaching myself as I go and viewing tutorials to learn most of what I have done. Now I am in a jumble and have no idea what to do. I am working ... my main problem is things aligning correctly. I am working on this for a friend and really would like to just be done with it! Please check it out, I attached the pages so maybe you can lead me in the right direction. I believe I have not positioned things correctly. They appear okay sometimes on internet explorer / funcky on firefox / and reallly crazy on safari! Also, the navagation bar is very glitchy, maybe I shouldn't have done a flash navigation? Im going nuts over here! I appreciate all your help. Hi, I'm just learning html and I'm creating my website in Frontpage 2003. I looked in IE6 and my individual pages are exactly how I want them to look. However, viewing the same pages in Firefox presents me with a problem I'm not sure how to correct. It has to do with the center table. I originally copied and pasted the contents from Excel into the table (which I think was a mistake now). My workaround to this was copying and pasting the contents in the table into Notepad; and also shortening the length of each line; and then re-pasting the contents back into the table. It looks o.k. in Firefox but the alignment is no longer "justified". Can someone please tell me what I should be doing in the html code here? To see what I mean please open the link below in both IE and Firefox. http://www.prosperityteachers.com/ne...ew_thought.htm Much appreciated! I just read a link from a web mag, and found a pretty smart service: 1. Go to http://browsershots.org/ 2. Select the OS/Browsers you want to check against 3. Select the "user" options 4. Submit your site 5. Get a set of images for each browser to see what it looks like Pretty cool, huh? Now you don't have to install every browser known to man First I want to thank you for letting me be a part of this great forum. Now about the problem. My site looks good on IE browser but with firefox it looks strange, if you look at http://www.akuttpost.no/psykoseschizofreni.htm you may notice that the menu is lower than the middle page. How do I fix this? Is there a way to adjust this so that what looks on IE will be the same with all sorts of browsers? I use dreamweaver and claris 3.0 What would the script be to check which browser you are using. I want a script to check if the webpage is being viewed by iPhone safari, not sure how to code it but I want it to do this: website/index.php: If iPhone Safari. go to;"mobile.website.com" And in mobile.website.com I will have a CSS for mobiles. I have this login on a website i'm doing, in Firefox, Opera & Safari the two text fields and the login button are aligned to the very left of the page but in IE the text boxes only stay about 15px further to the right. This means they are out of line with other elements on the page Can anyone tell from this code below what i'm doing wrong or do you need more code to go on. <form name=login> <table width=200 border=0 align="left" cellpadding=3> <td><input type=text name=username></td></tr> <td><input type=text name=password></td></tr> <tr><td colspan=2 align=left><input type=button value="Login!" onClick="Login()"></td></tr> </table> </form> cheers I built this page and I'm noticing it works fine in Dreamweaver browser but not in opera and safari and IE? What am I doing wrong? http://www.rendemolition.com/patio1.html I am having some problems. I am redesigning a site and It looks good in firefox, but when viewed in IE the spacing is off. I like the way it is looking in firefox, but not in IE. Any ideas?? http:// www .integratedpeaksolutions.com/New/Site/ I cant figure out why my website footer looks different in internet explorer compared to all the other browsers. IE makes the footer look off. Can someone please help me with this. www.pricedrightcleaningequipment.com thanks so much I have recent designed a website inAdobe fireworks then slices then exported it. (So it is in tables). I slice a 1 pixel image of the right side of the image to set as my background (repeat x). So I also set the top margin of the whole layout to 0 pixels. But it seems different browsers have a difference view of what 0 pixels is. Does anyone no away arround this? Hey there just starting to make a new site, and just kinda slowly making pages and trying to get the formatting and looks down first. anyways here is my site: http://uberwalla.com and you may notice depending on the resolution the footer is not at the very bottom its kinda floating high with a gray bottom under it. I am just wondering how i can make it so that no matter what resolution and no matter what browser, that it'll automatically make the footer the very bottom (touching the status bar or past it have to scroll down) no matter the size of the page. thanks in advance, uberwalla Hi everyone.. I;ve just launch my new webiste but IE seems to have messed up some of the formatting. Is there an eastyfix/tool to remedy this? All other browsers see fine. I have tested in Browsershots... Thanks Hello, I created this Wordpress theme http://www.ilmondodeidoppiatori.it/news/ It's perfect with Firefox but if I open it with Safari, the whole central column goes below the rest of the content: how can I fix it? Thanks in advance Hi guys, I have been workin on a web page for a few weeks now and I was checking how it looks like in Mozilla Firefox 2. Well, it seems that the same code appears differently in other browsers (opera and internet explorer, for example). So, I have two questions: a) What is the problem that is causing the same page to appear differently when displayed by different browsers? b) How can I fix it? Thanks. P.S.: If this question is answered in another thread please inform me and accept my apology for not searching out myself.
