HTML - Stuck In A Flash/javascript/html Problem !
Hey everyone,
I'm having a problem with a Flash .swf file in my HTML page. If I input the code one way, it works in Firefox and not in IE. If I do it another way, it works in IE and not Firefox. The approach I was thinking of taking was using conditional statements in Javascript, however I'm having problems arranging the code to properly implement it. And believe me, I've reworked this file and I'm getting nothing that works on both at the same time. Suggestions for both methods would be great -- If you'd like me to post the code I could do so. Thank you! Similar TutorialsI'm an amateur web site builder and since upgrading to Flash CS3 I've ran into a few problems, mostly with the way the new flash publishes the html files. They now added a javascript file that accompanies the html file to apparently assist in the loading of the flash file. What I'm trying to do is add a script to the html file that will resize the window based the users screen resolution. I've used scripts in the past to do this, but for some reason they won't work with this new html file. I'm assuming the javascript file plays a part in this, correct me if I'm wrong. It would be great if someone could help me with a script that would allow for the html file to resize the browser window based on the users screen resolution, or something similar to that. Hi, I am currently making a website, I have used an inline frame on my site, and I am having trouble getting it to do what I want it to! lol Basically, I have put a menu on the left of the page, and an inline frame in the middle, now, I want it so that when you click on a link on the left, the whole page stays the same, but the inline frame will go to the requested page. So basically, a website inside a website if you see what I mean. I have tried using <a href="http://address.com/page.htm" target="mainframe"> </a> but I still can't get it to work. If anyone has any ideas it would be great!! Thanks a lot. ps: I should also add, I am using tables on my site, and the menu is in a different table to the iframe, does that make a difference? I have browsed the search function and found some topics that are helpful, but when I try the codes that are stated on those pages, it creates another iframe on my page, but it works with that one, but the new iframe is always in the wrong place, I am using MS frontpage by the way, and I added my iframe by click insert, and inline frame. Hi there, I would like to know the purpose of having var bolSubmit in the code above. Also, why is it that "form name" allows my code to work even though there is a warning stating that it is outdated, but when I change it from "form name" to "form id", it does not complain of the warning anymore, but instead my code does not work. Hello everyone. Below is the html code for a quiz i want to use for my website. What I want to do is, upon completion of the quiz, have 2 new text-entry forms and 1 "submit" button form appear at the bottom of the page asking the user to input one's name and email address before they can submit the results of their quiz. But it does not work. Flash is not displayed. How can I resolve this trouble? I've just recently created my website with wix.com as my host, so it's all flash, but I would like to change my website to html. I really like what I have as the website so far, but I've found that it runs slow on many computers, so I was wondering if there was any way of keeping what I have(such as design etc.) but converting it to html somehow. I don't know much about web design, so any help would be greatly appreciated. (and I don't mind changing my host if it's necessary, I just want a way to be able to keep what I've worked at without having to begin from scratch.) I can view the flash in my HTML script when I run it straight from my computer, but when I upload it I don't see it. I've tried it on three different web hosts. Is there a way i create links on my page to different flash files on my web server and have it play that video?
