HTML - Extending Side Bars

Hi,
I'm new to HTML can anybody help me how to place to tables side by side

I am trying to edit my image viewer on my site, but for some reason it works perfectly in chrome, safari and Firefox, but IE is giving me one issue. The images are being stacked vertically (one on to of the other) rather than show up all in one row horizontally. This is making my page longer in IE and just does not look the way I want it to..Any ideas at to what could cause this?

Hi folks,

I have a table and in one cell I have two images that normally appear side by side but when an a adjacent cell (or any cell in the same row) gets too large the images end up appearing on top of one another... is there some way to force them to stay side by side? I'd rather not have a table within the cell in question although i suppose i could if there's not some html or css way to make it work.

But I want them side by side, not stacked. Is it the <a> code that causes them to stack? What can I change in my code to make them side by side? Thx.

hello, new member here so hiya!

I have a site and I have a div containing all the page. At first I gave it a height just so I could put CSS in and see what it's like. After I have taken out the height though, the div shrinks to like 1 pixel. Why isn't it as long as it's containing divs - including left column, main section, footer?

I have an <a> tag with display block set which is good as it makes it as wide as its container.

However, I want to give it more height than it currently has, 100% is possibile.
Inside the <a> tag there is an <img> tag with the image being very poor in height, it's a line of text with special font.

How can I get the <a> to be higher please?

This is the tutorial I followed. I did everything it said to do and it worked on my index page where the iframe is located. The only problem is when I try to load a new page into that iframe the iframe doesn't extend and scroll bars appear. On the tutorial there is an example of what i'm talking about. Does anybody know why the other page doesn't extend? Here is an exmaple: http://www.dejavulifestyle.com/dvsite/example.html It's the video page that i'm trying to open in the iframe.

Hi, I'm kind of new to HTML and I've been trying to make a website that has 3 frames in it. One frame extends across the entire top of the page and has about a 100 pixel height. The second frame extends the entire length of the page, but only has a width of about 200 pixels. Which leaves the rest for the thrid frame. I'm doing this so that frames one and two don't change and all of the content changes in the third frame.

I'm running into an issue, because I cannot figure out how to get one frame extend across the top and one fram extend the length of the page. I can do one or the other but not both. is there any way that I can configure the columns and rows so that the page takes on this look?
