HTML - Filtering Files Shown In Browse Dialog

Hello

I have a page where there multiple links , I want a dialog box to open when ever I click the link . Here is an example www.scribd.com and click on sign up u will have an idea .

So I'd like to have a 160*600 box with hyperlinks displaying only a headlines I select. I would like the bottom of the box to have arrows for navigating between sections of links that fit in the box with a place to enter a page number in between them. I would like it to begin with displaying the most recently posted links starting on the last page number with that being the first page it displays.

I want the bottom of the box to include below the browsing chronological browsing feature an arrow facing left with the word "search" that would open a box with a place to type in text for it to search link headlines. At the bottom of the search box I would like an arrow facing down with the words "search by label". Yes, I would like to not only select a headline for each link but also categorically label them.

If I could also select images for it to automatically fill the empty space with when a new page number is started that would be great, even better if it selects ones that fill the most depending on how long the headlines are. If it repeated headlines in extra page space instead of showing images that would be cool too.

I'd also like it to automatically expand in height past 160*600 to make a new page number just for a headline that doesn't fit in 160*600.

Is there a way to put a custom graphic for the browse button in the file upload field, similar to how you can use a custom graphic for the submit button?

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to this whole html/web developing community and I got a few questions. My most important question is:

1. Would it be possible to have a button(like a type=file) that browses directories only, but instead of uploading them, just displaying the path as a text, so when my script picks it up, it just reads the text?
EDIT:
What I'm talking about is very similar to this thread, but i just want them to upload path so when the script emails the data, its just a link to the path on the local server




and my other question is:

2. If a user enters data in a text area, like i am writing in this, when my script picks it up, it does not seem to get the newlines at the end and just displays it all on one line, is there a way i can go about fixing it so that it gets passed(or even converted) to exactly how the user entered it?
EDIT: I've tried using wrap="physical" tag but I've been reading and some people say that it doesn't work..any suggestions?

I have a dialog box and in there I have a button that says New Service. When a user clicks on New Service, another dialog is shown where they the put the name of the service and after they click Create, I want that dialog box and the first one close as well. Here is my code, I can't figure it out.

I want the #create-userDialog box to close after the user clicks on Create in #new-serviceDialog.

I want to send an email from an aweber list that includes a link for the user to download a file from my website. However, I don't want users to know the actual address(directory) where my file exists on the server).

Right now when the user clicks on the link it automatically takes them to the address where the file exists and opens the file in a web page.

How can I code the link so when the user clicks on the link it will automatically open a dialog box for them to save the file to their pc?

Hi, a friend is reprogramming a web site for our band, and I noticed that on my machine(s) the title tag with the name of the band is not displaying in IE6 or IE7, although apparently it displays correctly on his machine (also IE6). The title tag looks okay to me, so is there something else in the code that's causing it not to work on all machines?

We have an embedded device which server up a webpage. All parts of it works fine with a PC. We are now connecting it to a PDA running Windows CE 4.2 .NET. The webpages display fine in internet explorer.
When we download a file the download dialog appears twice. The first download dialog downloads the file. The 2nd one fails and then further downloads will not run.

We suspect the problem lies in http headers. The headers we are using at the moment a

Hi!

I bought my domain yesterday, and uploaded my site to it. It all looks fine, except some pictures that weirdly enough won't show up.

I haven't tested the site, or anything yet, but if someone please could tell me, why the pictures isnt shown online, then i would be happy.

I am designing my new eBay advert in html using Dreamweaver CS3
I have designed many stuff in this that is pretty basic, and use the design view.

I want to develop my ads this year from a static looking page to a more advanced page.

Schuh do something similar to what I am after and I can't search the forums because I have no idea what it is called that I would like to do.

I have a table which displays this data on my page and then i want to produce a separate table which produces the fastest time for the 3k Run and 5K Cycle events.
