HTML - [html Site] Works In Ff But Not Ie
I am working on a site and the picture at the front looks nice and correct size in Firefox but the image gets stretched and looks bad in IE (not at first but if you refresh the page).

http://www.ptacnik.com/index102.html When previewing through Dreamweaver in ANY of these 3 browsers it looks fine. (from my local drive) But once online it only loads in Firefox. Is there something fishy with the frames perhaps? missing an XML doc on my end? I can't figure out what is causing this. This is a new site. IE6 *does* prompt for other sites (e.g. amazon.com sign-on) The IE autocomplete settings are set to prompt in the usual way. I've tried clearing all cookies/cache etc. There are no autocomplete disabled/off settings in the page. What is strange is that Firefox does prompt to save password for site for the problematic page, as I would expect IE to. The only thing that's maybe a bit unusual is that the INPUT name="..." in the Form contains unusual chars such as ^ and !. But i wouldnt have though that was a problem (?). Any ideas why the save password prompt is not appearing for this one site? thanks. I am wondering if it is possible to create an INDEX.HTML to redirect to another website? I would like it to display the redirected site, but if possible keep to the original address.. e.g. A site named www.mysite.com, with an INDEX.HTML to redirect to www.othersite.com, which displays OTHERSITE with www.mysite.com in the address bar. Much appericated I have created a custom html dropdown menu for my site. The thing is it looks perfect in Firefox 5.0 (for me it does anyway) and works just as expected but in other browsers such as Opera 10.60, Chrome 5.0.375.125, it doesn't work properly. and it works semi ok in IE 8. For example if I hover over one of the menu buttons in opera or chrome there is meant to be a drop down box, this doesn't show in Opera or chrome but does in IE? Thank you, Jade Hi, I have to display the results in 20 columns, in that 14 columns are frozen, rest of them are scrollable, when I give table widht in % then scrollbar presents to view the data in Firefox. If I see the same in IE, it doesnt show all the data, and there is no scrollbar. If I give the table width in px form then to some extent I am able to see the scrollbar in IE, and minimum pixel I had to give is 3000 and above. Is there any common solution to me to fix this so that I can see same both the browsers. We would like to have solution, width in % not in px. Please let me know the solution for this. Today I started creating the html for my site and got the front page pretty much done and I wanted to make sure it worked with my host, but I can't figure out how to add it. Ive now learnt how to make a site wanna learn how to use the database with login / forum and show user list. any help would be greatly appriciated Hi guys. I'm doing a website for a friend. All is going well but I've hit a couple of problems, the first I think is pretty easy to solve but I can't for the life of me remember what to do; I want some of the main images in the site (logo, background etc) to remain in cache so that when the user flicks pages it doesn't need to load them. I tried a CCS style form but placing the background image (a white square basicly) exactly where I want it, isn't easy. Secondly I want to use a preloader on the site, that preloads all the pages first. I have a series of images that I want to load as part of the progess indicator & want some to apper at say 20% another at 30% etc. Once all the background stuff is loaded it would then automaticly move on to the index page. I've had a play in flash & can get the series of images to play but have no idea how to get this to intergrate with the HTML. Thanks in advance. Hi, This will sound such a rookie question simply because I've never done this. Ok, I've created a page for a friend entirely within Fireworks. I have sliced the page and exported it in HTML to Dreamwaver. Now I do this a lot with ebay listings, and I simply upload the slices to a free online hosting company, they then give me the image location and I paste that into the slices src and job done, one pretty listing. Now, I'm trying to use Filezilla to upload the slices of the page in question to their host, which I'm doing easy enough. However, Filezilla doesn't let me see the location of the image, so I've no idea what to paste into the src! It has been stressing me to the max the past 24hrs as its all I need to get the site online! Thanks in advance for any help offered.
