Here is the site: Clicky In IE something is pushing the design! It's a really simple design but I'm at a loss as to how to correct the IE problem! Thanks Similar TutorialsHello, I'm trying to a create blog like web site. Since my html knowledge is very limited I decided to use a free web layout provided by Gorotron.com. The template I chose is called "Audiophile". The problem is the Audiophile template will not display correctly when IE 7 is used. The template displays perfect in Firefox 3 and IE 6 but not IE 7. I've contacted the user who created this template but I have not received response in weeks. If anyone has a solution how to correct this problem I would appreciate your help Snapshot of Problem:http://i35.tinypic.com/am2nme.png How it should look: http://i34.tinypic.com/1hc7z4.png Original HTML File: http://www.gorotron.com/templates/audiophile.zip Thanks in Advance. Hey hey! First post here so be nice I'm currently coding a satire website for my pal and I - http://www.satirefactory.com (only one article up at the moment). The problem I'm having is that when you click onto any page after the home page it removes the "www." bit from the address bar at the top of the browser. I can't understand it. The only thing I'm doing any differently from any of my previous web sites is that I've used php includes to call up different files for the header/menu/right column and footer of the page. eg: Code: <?php include ("../includes/header-satire.htm"); ?> But I can't see how that would effect anything. Also - I've installed a set of (Invision Board) forums which are totally unrelated to the rest of the site, and they still display as http://satirefactory.com/forums , even if you type the URL directly into the address bar. The website is working properly, it's just this niggling aesthetic issue. If anyone has any ideas I'd be eternally greatful. Thanks in advance, Max Power HI, I am designing a website. But the problem is. If i developed that jsp or html file based on 17" desktop. If i open that in my laptop, some of the images are not aligned perfectly. Text boxes and alignment are aligned improperly. How can i solve this problem. Pls suggest me how to fix this problem permanently. My requirement is, if i open my project in any system that should display in all the systems similarlly. Thanks in advance ref: www.nofocusprototype.com/vanallen When viewed in FireFox, Opera and Camino, the menu bar and video footer are both perfectly aligned with the video box. In Safari and Chrome, however, the menu bar and the footer are a few pixels off plus the footer is separated from the bottom of the video box by a 1 or 2 pixel space. I could naturally adjust the menu bar and footer to display properly in Safari and Chrome, but then they would not display properly in the other browsers. This is certainly a Catch-22 situation. Anyone know a fix for this? BTW, I note that many people have display issues with Safari--one Apple rep told a questioner to get FireFox! Hi there, I have a problem at: Link removed The problem is viewed on Internet Explorer only, There is no problem on Safari and Firefox. in IE when you open the above link the first image is behind the second image, unless you hover the mouse over the image. It happens only occasionally in IE as well. When you hover the mouse over, the image goes to the correct place. I have looked at the code and see no problems. Can somebody please help me? Any help would be great Thanks Hi Guys, Hope you can help. I need to add some text to an existing site but I'm having a problem doing so. The text I add is displayed behind some other existing text? The page is currently live without the changes at www.bulksms.com but I have commented out the bit I need to add in so you can see it in the source, it's an A - Z directory toward the bottom of the page. I've managed to do it successfully at www.bulksms.vsms.net but this unfortunately does not seem to work on the .com version and ends up displaying as attached. Any ideas? ref: www.nofocusprototype.com/vanallen When viewed in FireFox, Opera and Camino, the menu bar and video footer are both perfectly aligned with the video box. I have an iframe that src's a folder below to a php page. It works perfectly as designed on my computer however a friend of mine, when I showed him the page, stated that he doesn't see any content - meaning the iframe nulled out for him. As far as I know this could be a IE7 problem; but I really don't know. Any ideas as to why iframe can be inconsistent? Hello, I am having problems to correctly format the following two pages: http://www.rapidsmtp.com/product.html http://www.rapidsmtp.com/support.html They are displayed correctly in Firefox, but IE 6.0 displayes the HTML part wider than the flash menu. Can please somebody advice how to fix this? Also, IE 6.0 sometimes stalls for a minute when displaying my webpage (Firefox does not have this problem). Does somebody observe the same problem or is it a problem of my computer's setup? Kind regards, Alex The audio files I use on my web page display the individual control (play stop pause buttons) windows on my monitor screen and all the music segments play when actuated. However some users report that they get a distorted page and nothing works. I am using XP and Vista with IE7. Can anyone help find the cause of the problem? http://www.lvrny.net/theme.htm problem is fixed, no need to read. Hello, I have a website that displays fine in every browser I've tested but Chrome. The only problem is my borders. Thanks for reading. Hi, As an xmas present, I recently made this site for my dad's art: I'm on a Mac, and thus can't use IE6/IE7. I'm told that there are major problems loading the site from any Windows IE browser (flash content in galleries, and the navigation on the splash page), but I haven't been able to check from a windows pc. However, it looks & works perfectly in Firefox, Safari (and even IE 5 for mac!). I don't quite understand, because another site I made recently uses identical navigation javascript & flash tools...but it works perfectly in IE. Am I just missing something really stupid here? Hi there, I'm curious of how to code a fix display size of html files. If I were to set the size (when launching) as a monitor size 1024 x 768, which means users don't need to scroll up and down anymore. It will exactly fit into the screen. Hi guyz, i have a query Mouse over the datagrid cell display tooltip or panel to display information but only using HTML and CSS not using javascript. can anyone help me. because im gonna use it on htmleditor on c# desktop application thax before Hi! I'm new to creating websites and this forum. I recently created a website with a "mailto" form in Dreamweaver MX 2004. I have a fairly new laptop that came with Windows Vista and IE 7. When I go to display the form, you cannot scroll to the bottom of the form. The window just ends. However, if you display the form in Fire/Fox or an earlier version of IE you can scroll down to the end of the form. I searched the MS website FAQ's but there was noting listed for this particular issue. Does anyone know how to fix this? Or is there a script I can add to the form code for it to display properly in IE 7? Or is there a patch (assuming it is a IE 7 issue) available? Any help or insite to this problem would be most appreciated! Thanks, Sonja Hi, could somebody please explain to me why these pages look different in IE and firefox? http://www.vub.ac.be/ARCH/bachelor.html (something is terribly wrong with the layer "content" in IE) http://www.vub.ac.be/ARCH/ae-lab/home.html (the logo on the left is shifted down in IE) the layout in firefox is as i intended it to be!! thanks I am looking to do something, that seems a bit complex, because I cannot find anything similar online to use as an example. In simple terms: I am trying to show on a web page a display of YouTube content from a specific user, that will automatically update through the RSS feed showing the latest videos, and when a user clicks on the video, it plays on the same web page. I have found HALF of this, with a script called video box, however you need to manually enter the videos in yourself. I am looking for this to be an automatic thing and it seems that RSS is the best way to do that. If anyone has any suggestions please respond. What I want to do is put a 20% margin on each side of my website. I know that this can be done with a table: HTML Code: <table> <tr> <td style="width: 20%"></td> <td style="width: 60%"> Content </td> <td style="width: 20%"></td> </tr> </table> but I know that this is ill-advised. Is there an alternative to this, or is this the only way? Thanks. |
