What is the best way to place text and a link image on top of another image in Kompozer (version 0.8b3 for Mac OSX)? I want the page to be centered in the browser. Or a simple html markup to help me understand would be good too. Seems simple enough, but I cannot figure it out. I have a table-based site (with CSS for styling and some placement within cells) built in Dreamweaver 8 that now needs to be editable from Contribute CS3 (Mac). This is maybe the fourth or fifth site I've pulled into Contribute for updating and I've never had any issues with the program or how I build sites until now. The website looks fine in web browsers, Dreamweaver, and in Contribute's browser view, but as soon as I hit the edit button and go into the page everything is squashed up against the left side of the screen, like this: (Click for bigger image) It's like all of a sudden none of the cells have a width value. What's really strange is images are overlapping too, not just butting up against one another. Any ideas why this is happening? I've tried searching online and so far can't find anyone who's had a similar issue. Thanks, m19 Hi-- I was hoping someone could tell me how to edit this contact form so that it does not redirect to another page (the php page)? I'd like it to just simply send the message without leaving the page. The trick here is that I am using a javascript link to submit the form, NOT a button... Any help would be most appreciated! Please view http://www.sergemedia.net/wiltoncordrey2010/wood.html You will see space under top links. Above decorative border. Try other 2 links at top. The extra space is not there. I am looking for an extra line break in my code, but can't find it, or what is causing the extra space. I am testing on Safari. Will look on IE later. Thanks. I was recently asked to take on a project for a photographer friend of mine to complete a website that has begun by a really bad company, so now I'm looking at the mess they've created and trying to figure it all out. Looks like im going to start from scratch anyways.. but I cam accross one thing that I am curious about: Code: All the other stuff in the code is HTML code, and so is this, but I've never seen this kind of elements or attributes after the file extension before. It appears as a gradient animation, but I don't know how it's built. There is no other java script or anything, just this piece of code. Any help in reverse engineering this would be appreciated! Hello there, I have a textarea in a form, and when I load the page with the form, there is a space in the textarea. When I enter content into the form and submit, when the validation does not kick through and the form is displayed once more, there is an additional space introduced. Each time the form reloads one more space is introduced. Has anyone ever come across this weird situation? Thanks Helllo all, I'm hoping someone with more HTML skills than I have can see where my problem is with trying to modify a pre-built website. I have an area at the top of my webpage where I'm trying to just add a small iframe that will contain a link to a related website. What happened when I added this in what I thought was the right place, is that it appeared in place of where other content was supposed to be. I then tried to contain the problem by creating a table, and given that each of the two existing pieces of content were in div blocks, I put each div block within a table data element (td). Unfortunately, even with specified column widths, the best of the results I've achieved results in my site search content having the button get pushed onto a new line and thus almost invisible, leaving the text input box in place. It's as if the PHP stuff in that div block is somehow pushing the browser to considerably widen the first cell unless I restrict it's width. The site you can see this on is: http://debtfreenewsblog.com The site is somewhat slow - takes 30 to 45 seconds to load (a separate issue, but if you happen to see why, let me know), but once it does, you can use view source and see the very first table and you'll see the resulting HTML. Dreamweaver's design view doesn't do anything to indicate why there's a problem, and kind of hides reality from me. There is a style sheet, or perhaps even more than one, for the site, and as I'm not familiar with exactly how that works together with everything else, that may well be where the problem is. Any and all help will be appreciated. My objective is to just get the search button to come back to the same line as the text input box. Steve (aka sgmunson) Hello all, I'm learning so much studying on a daily basis with html, that I have been making considerable progress, however, if you all could help me "lock" this div layer that I have off to the right of the page from moving that would be grand. You see all I really want on the site is to have content in the middle move as I update and add to it. However when I subtract content or add more content in the middle div box. the right side box will move up or down depending on whether I have added or subtracted content. If you visit http://www.trillionaireme.com that is how I want the site to show on all pages when a link is clicked, however when you click on the "How to Get Started" link http://www.trillionaireme.com/howtogetstarted.html, because I have less content in the middle the right div box moves up. I would like it locked and positioned just as it is displayed on the main page http://www.trillionaireme.com This is the main page: Code:

TrillionaireMe

Nutrition Fitness Money Relationships Parenting Music Literature You Them Vision

Welcome
How To Get Started

Join Our Mailing List

This site was last updated on: Tuesday, May 24, 2011 @ 12:47 PM

"What are you doing right now? I am using 123 reg to edit our allotment web site. Access seems to have changed and cannot get in to edit can anyone advise. Ron Hello, I was wondering how to do to put a background that fits with the screen. I like code, I simply put background = "image.jpg" thank you How do i edit a webpage? I copied some code from an online tutorial, and I wanted to make changes to it, but I can't. I'm using OS X and Safari. I can open the page in Safari (It's saved in html), but when I choose 'view source' it only displays the code, but I can't change anything. What am I missing? Hey all. First post here, but I've been around for a few weeks, just not registered. Actually I have a problem. I am using Dreamweaver to make a website. In the News page, I put a scrolling textbox using the div tags and it all worked pretty well, but now I would like to edit that textbox, customize the look of it. I've seen it done in other sites, but I'm not sure its HTML. Actually what I want to do is change the BG color, change the color and style of the scoll bar (For example a red dot instead of the original blue/grey bar, if its possible). I know I've seen on another site, someone changed the bar, he made it more square and changed the color or opacity, kindda what I want to do. If you have a page will all the codes, which is probably hard to find, that would be the best Also, I tried adding a border with <div style="overflow=auto [etc] border=3px solid" but it didnt change a thing. Can anyone help me with those problems please? Thanks PS: Ill try adding the full code later, but its home and Im at school. Can anyone tell me how to do the thing in which you add the code which looks different from the rest of the text? |
