Similar TutorialsHello. I was wondering if it's at all possible to have a specific checkbox or radio button checked/selected when the user gets to that page depending on the link they clicked to get to that page. For example, I have a client who wants the user to go to a single form but from different categories (rather than having a form for each), but to make sure the recipient of the email knows which category it came from, the checkbox for that category would already be checked. The user would be able to check it themselves as well, but this ensures it's already selected and creates convenience for the user. Thanks Hi, I have a simple form he http://www.wirelessbroadband.net.au/wap/pay.html I would like to preload and disable the 'Mobile No. ' field based on the pulldown selection of field 'Preset' for example : if the pulldown select was set to 'Elijah Wood', then the 'Mobile No.' field would display 63917345345 and would be disabled stopping any editing. The only time the 'Mobile No.' field would function like a nornal field, is when the the 'enter cell number' option is selected. your help would be greatly appricated. mike Hey All! Hi guys, First of all, I'd like to apologize for my writing skills as I'm from a non english-speaking country and I moved to Australia not long ago. Anyway, I'm trying to help a friend developing a website and I'm having some trouble getting the page to look like what he wants. I am an absolute rookie in website development and I'm discovering Dreamweaver as I speak. I managed to understand a few concepts based on what I know in VBA in Excel and tried to use some templates I found on the net. The last part didn't go really well and I decided to get rid of what I tried to make my explanations as clear as possible. Basically, I have a drop down menu on the left side of the page that works quite well at the moment.Wwhat I want to do is : the user goes over the first link of the drop down menu (called "General for Sale" under the section "Buying") and when he clicks on it, he loads on the right side the content of another page called "generalforsale.html. All of this obviously without refreshing the whole page and with the option of clicking on another section from the drop down menu to load another page... And all of this knowing that I'd like one specific page to be displayed on the left when the user first arrives on the website that would then be replaced by a page, depending on what he selects from the drop down menu. I have honestly tried everything I found and could understand, unsuccessfully... I have attached a lighter version of what I'm trying to do in case one of you guys has the time to have a look. I completely understand if this is not the policy of the forum and therefor apologize in advance. Thanks for reading me and for your help :-) Sub In a form, how do I define a radiobutton so that when it is selected additional form fields ara loaded onto the same page holding the text in other fields? I am using Frontpage 2003 to build my site. Hello, I am trying to create a page where the user can select four of their best skills and put in their past experience (in years) in previously defined boxes and have that automatically update the "results." But, i need the results to be filterable to match the top three skills exactly. So i put in skils A,B,C,D and i get results of jobs that "match" A,B,C. I have created a javascript for show/hide but i dont know how to add this updatable/filterable content. Here is a demo of my page Quote: <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript"> <!-- function experience(element_id) { var results = document.getElementById(element_id + "_Results"); var element = document.getElementById(element_id); results.value = element.value; } </script> <script> function showhide(id){ if (document.getElementById){ obj = document.getElementById(id); if (obj.style.display == "none"){ obj.style.display = ""; } else { obj.style.display = "none"; } } } </script> <title></title> </head> <body> <form name="compass"> <table border="1" width="100%"> <tr> <td colspan="2">Top Any help would be appreciated. Hi all, I would like to ask for your help here. How can I first have a few radio buttons on my page and when the user select one of those, a text box with a submit button will appear. The text box is for the user to key in some kind of code/password so that it will prompt the user to a url according to the code/password. Example: Code: YAH URL: www.yahoo.com Code: GOO URL: www.google.com And if the user keys the wrong code it will prompt a message box asking them to try again. If the user key the code wrongly for 3 times it will prompt to another url. Ive also attach an example of how it should look like. I would appreciate for your help. Thanks a lot! I have a form with radio buttons. I want it so that only one is selectable at a time and if radiobutton 1 is selected then whenever another radiobutton is selected radiobutton 1 will be deselected. Here is the code: HTML Code: <html> <head> <title> </title> <script src="script.js"> </script> </head> <body> <form> <input type="radio" id="hbEgg" value="hb"> <label for="hb"> Hard Boiled Egg </label> <br /> <input type="radio" id="mbEgg"> <label for="mb"> Medium Boiled Egg </label> <br /> <input type="radio" id="fbEgg" value="fb"> <label for="fb"> Full Boiled Egg </label> <br /> <input type="radio" id="ebEgg"> <label for="eb"> Extra Boiled Egg </label> <br /> </form> </body> </html> Thanks in advance. Here is my code: Code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" dir="ltr" lang="en"> <head> <title>Prospective Student Database</title> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" /> </head> <body> <form action="insert.php" method="post"> <input type="radio" name="gender" value="1">Male </form> </body> </html> I am trying to follow the W3C standard, which I put in the W3C HTML validator. It keeps giving me a error of the radio button should end with '/>' instead of '>'. Like this: Code: <input type="radio" name="gender" value="1"/>Male But I checked the W3C recommendation. Even their recommendation on the radio button doesn't end with '/>' The recommendation is he http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/interact/forms.html The first example already showed. What is the problem? Thanks. |
