HTML - Menu Response Position Incorrect
On my website under computer applications - utilities and drivers. I used an on page menu because of the page size. It is internal java script, or listed on the page. It functions but does not go where directed. I want the heading of the menu item at the top of the page. I followed the directions for the anchor but it doesn't always position correctly. The same occurs with CSS. How can I get it to position correctly because I will want to add more categories and more content and need it to position correctly with changes.
Menu Utilities --- positions correctly Drivers --- positions in utilities Diagnostics --- positions with heading at bottom of page Registry cleaners --- positions in middle of diagnostics Registry tutorials --- positions in middle of Registry cleaners Computer help --- positions in middle of Registry tutorials Thank you for all your help falcon not sure if in the correct category of this forum Similar TutorialsHi, I was wondering if someone could help me... I made a drop down menu using fireworks for the site http://www.lakehillsca.org/ and the menu works perfectly in IE. But when viewing the site in firefox, the menu positioning isn't right. The menu uses javascript, but I'm pretty sure it isn't a javascript issue. Is there anyone out there that can figure this out??? Thanks for your time. -Chris First, forgive me i'm a noob! Am attempting to rebuild our sorry website. Am kinda picking the whole html thing up, however, am building in frontpage and expressions because those are the programs i have. page i'm working on is: ygcc.org/testing i embedded a video, but would like to position it to line up w/ everything else. i like how it looks centered, but its not aligned correctly w/ the other objects on the page. also, everything else is "positioned" on the page, whereas the media is "aligned" so, it doesn't stay put if i resize my browser next problem i'm having is jump menu or tree menu. i want a drop boxes, such as are on the page, however, would like it if it was a horizontal menu, not individual boxes like they are. right now, the drop boxes are only drop boxes (for "forms") and do not hyperlink. if i "insert jumpmenu" then, i cannot put them beside each other in a row. if i attempt to put them in a row, they are like steps, not straight across. i d/led a program to help w/ menus, but i don't even understand it. when i attempted what it told me to do, i do not get a menu. i know i need to put javascript in, but apparently do not understand this enough to actually do it. in short i would truly appreciate some help. thanks in advance Do I have an incorrect doctype set for my new layout? www.bkriegtech.net I have a huge amount of errors when I run the w3c validator... My Website: http://tinyurl.com/ygspuc In IE7 the content is extended to far. As you can see in the attachment. Any help greatly appreciated. Hi, I spent five and a half hours attempting to resolve this problem, but now I'm hoping that someone might be able to help me. If you visit http://www.justforyouwebsite.com/, you'll see that the menu tables on the left and right sidebars are meant to have shadows. The shadows are created by using 3x3 tables, with the right and bottom sides of the tables containing repeating background images. Unfortunately, however, the size of the table cells on the right isn't correct. The top-right cell should be 7 pixels high, with the middle right cell filling the space between the top right and bottom right cells. As it is now, the top right cell and the middle right cell appear to be split evenly, and no matter what style or HTML changes I make, there is no way to get the shadow to repeat all the way up the right side of the table. Does anyone have any ideas? The Smarty template code is below in case it might help someone, although I don't see how this could be a scripting problem. Code: <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" width="100%"> <tr> <td colspan="2" rowspan="2"> <table cellspacing="1" width="100%" class="VertMenuBorder"> <tr> <td class="VertMenuTitle"> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="100%"><tr> <td>{$link_begin}<img src="{$ImagesDir}/{if $dingbats ne ''}{$dingbats}{else}spacer.gif{/if}" class="VertMenuTitleIcon" alt="{$menu_title|escape}" />{$link_end}</td> <td width="100%">{if $link_href}<a href="{$link_href}">{/if}<font class="VertMenuTitle">{$menu_title}</font>{if $link_href}</a>{/if}</td> </tr></table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td class="VertMenuBox"> <table cellpadding="{$cellpadding|default:"5"}" cellspacing="0" width="100%"> <tr><td>{$menu_content}<br /></td></tr> </table> </td></tr> </table> </td> <td class="TabTopRight" height="7px"><div class="DivTabTopRight" height="7px"> </div></td> </tr> <tr> <td class="TabRight" height="100%"><div class="DivTabRight"> </div></td> </tr> <tr> <td class="TabBottomLeft"><div class="DivTabBottomLeft"> </div></td> <td class="TabBottom"><div class="DivTabBottom"> </div></td> <td class="TabBottomRight"><div class="DivTabBottomRight"> </div></td> </tr> </table> Thanks, -Steve Howdy all, I have three scrolling divs that i want to be the height of the page, so i'm guessing position:absolute and height:100% will do that just fine. But i want these three scolling divs to be inside a position:fixed element so that they stay put when scrolling down the page. Is this possible? I dont think a pos:absolute will work nested inside a pos:fixed. How could i work around it? thanks! Hi I'm looking for a HTML code that changes the url based on a form response. E.G How old are you ? %age% Male or Female ? %gender% output mysite.com/%age%-%gender% Thanks in advance I just bought a .com site and I periodically add 'blogesque' type updates to it. I've seen on sites the ability to respond to posts, and I was wondering what the HTML code was that created those. Example It has a name that the user can put in, and the time of the post. Also... http://www.devthought.com/cssjavascr...er-fancy-menu/ How can I get something like that... don't know much about CSS. (read as 'CSS wha?') Hi All, I am wondering is there any way I can write an html which redirects based on a response. I want to develop an html file, which checks if a page returns ok then it goes there otherwise in case of a 404 it goes to another page. Is it possible. Thanks Anud I am trying to get rid of the "You have to click to activate this function" mumbo jumbo for a site I am doing. Actually, I'm new to web design in general but have taken on the role at the church I work at because our old site was a mess. I downloaded some nice looking templates and have been using them as a foundation. The site is www.miamibc.com. If you go there and look at the header menu (home, about us, etc), I want to consolidate that menu some and add a drop down menu with more choices. Is there a way I can do this while keeping it looking the way it does now? If you need any more info from me, let me know. Thanks for your help! Ben Hi all. Thanks in advance for your help, Sorin In IE7, 6, and 5 and only in IE7, 6, and 5 my flash navigation menu jumps around a little bit from page to page (no more than half of an inch or so per page, minor, but irritating). Probably an easy fix, but how? Do I need to wrap in a div first or should I just apply the rule to the td with an ID? And, should I use absolute positioning, relative, or neither? And I know I know navigation menu not good - I am working on text links for the bottom. One of the pages in question is below, but just navigate around the site and you will see what I am talking about.
