HTML - Linking Buttons To Iframe Page

Hi All...

Was hoping for some help with an iFrame question. I'm a bit of a n00b with web design so please forgive me.

I have:

home.html - with an iframe containing products.html

Withing products.html (in the iframe) I have a link which I want to link to a new page which also has a iframe. This I can do but I want the link to open the new page and a page within the new iframe of my choosing.

I hope this makes sense to somebody... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm relatively new to HTML, but have so far managed to create an index page with a navigation bar and IFRAME to hold content (in seperate HTML files). Using "target=" and "<div id=" I can successfully navigate through the content being displayed in the IFRAME. However, I also want the functionality to use a URL (passing parameters) to open the index page and display the desired content in the IFRAME without having to navigate through the menu.

To give an example, I write match previews for a rugby site and would like to provide a link on other sites that will take them straight to the index but display the match preview within the IFRAME immediately.

I'm not asking anyone to write this for me, but would like some guidance as it's starting to frustrate me.

Hello all! My 1st post.

I have an iframe embedded on my webpage of a .html manual and I would like to be able to have the manual open to certain anchors within it when a given page on my website is visited.

Here is the iframe code I have that will open up the manual but then the visitor has to scroll to the topic covered:

Now here is my problem. I'm not familiar with other laguages then html and a little bit of javascript and I wanted to make a site for me and my brothers photography company. I currently using dreamweaver and have figured out the way I want to make this site. I tried using ordinary frames, but I want the website to be aligned in the middle and I could make that happen.

That is why I went into iframes and a regular table on the index page. My problem now is that I have several iFrames and I want a link from one to open in another.

here is a link for this to happen, and the simple solution is to name the frame and then target the link. but I have tried that and when the link is from one iframe to another it won't work. If the link is on the index page and target the iframe then it works. Do you have any idea why this happens? I know it's possible since the link above does it.

Hi everyone. I am working on a website and it is turning out good so far. I made an iframe and menu buttons that all work fine with it. My question is that when i first load my site the iframe area is blank till i click my "home page" button. Is there anyway to put my home page in the iframe right from the get-go before i have to click the home page button? and still have the other menu buttons functional? Thanks.

What HTML code do I need and how do I link a word from one part of a page to text on another part of the same page?

Something odd is happening in IE7 with a page & I can't figure it out! (doesn't do it in Firefox).

This page: http://webshack.com.au/cane/index.htm loads fine, but when I got to 'Our Facilties' (2nd in the menu), it has no background & other bits 'cause it doesn't link to the stylesheet.

But, if you 'Resfresh' the page - it all comes good - until you move to a different page and then return to the 'Our Facilities' page'.

So I'm a bit stumped - It obviously links, but I can't figure out why not initialy, only on 'Refresh', and then again every time you return!

Oh yeah, it only started doing it when I begin fixing bits after running it the though the WC3 validator . . . .

Hi, I am the owner of http://the1337arcade.com and im trying to make it the best i can, and i need the help of people from HTML forum. My Problem is that I want to have a link to play the Games in Fullscreen mode, but i dont know how to grab the .swf currently on page

So is their anything i can do in HTML or PHP to Grab the URL of the current .swf file on page?

There will be a link somewhere saying Click here to play in Fullscreen, and the link will be http://the1337arcade.com/media/sources/kittycan.swf

I've inherited a very old site that runs in a frameset. We're getting ready to rebuild it (sans frames) but in the meantime I still need to maintain it.

The need has come up recently for an information page that will be linked to from within a Flash tutorial. The problem is that when the link goes directly to the page, it doesn't surround it with the frame and so there is no navigation or any way of finding your way back into the site.

It's been many, many years since I've worked with frames, so I'm hoping someone can tell me if there's a trick to linking to the base frameset and then loading a specific page into one of the frames.

I'm sure there is a way to go about this but I can't seem to figure it out and I'm not that proficient with html or css so hopefully someone here will able to help me out with this.

Im working on a portfolio site for myself and this is what I have so far http://www.visualonestudios.com

The site contains two main DIV's. One horizonal one for the menu called 'Outer' and one vertical behind it called 'main'. What I want is that the menu section always stays and the content of the main DIV changes depending on what has been selected on the menu. I'm not using any frames so what would be the easiest way to do this and remember I'm html-challenged lol.

So my question is simple and easy. I already have knowledge of how to make a image link you to a web page.

but I recently found the need to make a image link you to a webpage but not in a new window (what I mean is not open up a new browser window or tab when the image link is clicked.) how do I do this?

I have managed to get all my links working within the forms ok but one! that being the having navigation back to my Home page or Index page.

It being made up of three forms.
