HTML - Problem With Flash Movie Placement

Is there any way of placing HTML buttons (not flash) over Flash swf movis on Dreamworks?

I have a site I'm working on, and I have a flash demo movie that users can view. However, in Internet Explorer (so I'm told) You have to click once to "focus" on the flash movie, then you have to click again on the actual play button.

You can view the problem from IE6 he (not sure about IE7)
Click on the "view online demo" button below the header, and the movie slides out.

I would like IE to focus on the movie without clicking, so users only have to click once to "play" the movie.

Any help is greatly appreciated, and feel free to talk to me like I'm a fifth grader, I really would like to understand this.

I want to have a FLASH video overlay an image (the first frame of the video). How to I do this?

I've tried using the <NAME> tag and the <ID> tag. Neither works, or I'm not coding them correctly.

I have a movie on a webpage of mine that works fine in Firefox, IE6 and IE7 but when I look at the same page on another pc at work- that has IE on it with SP3 it is totally messed up.

Has anyone any ideas please ???

This is with reference to my developing website: www.mesaeastpark.com

Using MS Internet Explorer Version 7, I have no difficulty placing my Submit and Reset buttons with 'Position: absolute;' in my chosen position.

However, when I check the same page with Opera, Safara, Chrome, and Firefox, those same buttons appear much higher on the page and obscure another input field

This is very puzzling.

To access the problem page:

Please access my website, then

- Click on 'Visit Us'
- Cllick on 'Real Estate Services'
- Click on 'Rent out Your Home'
- Note the placement of the 'Submit' and 'Clear' buttons.

In IE, they appear correctly: stacked vertically to the right of the <textarea> element

In Opera, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari, they appear far higher on the page, obscuring other input fields (

At the right of this page I added a news scrolling in flash, when I open this website in Safari or Firefox there is NO PROBLEM! But when I open it in Internet Explorer I get a weird error "Bewerking Afgebroken" It is Dutch and don't know what it will mean in English, After I get this error the page stop loading and I only see the topbar of my website. HELP

Hello, I am having trouble placing my PNG file over my flash. I am using z index and absolute positioning but the PNG will not center itself on the webpage over the flash file. It ends up in a weird position above the flash.

So I downloaded this

flash template, and the URLs don't work. When I click on a picture, it's supposed to redirect me to a webpage, but when I do this nothing happens.

I've tried this with several different flash templates from other websites but the same problem happens.

This is a problem that is not really a problem. With one of my websites, the flash does not display properly when I view the site from a file on my computer. When I view the site online, everything is properly displayed.

When viewing the file (when I test the page with my CoffeeCup html editor) in the browser, flash items such as video players, news feeds, and audio players, show with the bottom and right hand portions clipped off. Again, when viewing the page on the web, everything is normal.

I have coded the flash on this page the same way I have coded it on my other websites, and on the other sites there is no problem.

I have gone over the stylesheet for the page and found no errors. I have been unable to find any html coding errors that might account for this.

Anyone else ever run into this sort of thing?

I just got a job working for a school and noticed their website was pretty much unorganized. So yesterday i took up dreamweaver and created this page(the rest of the site is pending acceptance/working of this main page):

However, it did come with problems. In IE it displays fine, everything seems to work. But.. Firefox doesn't seem to like my menu bar and flash scroller combo. In firefox the flash scroller appears over the drop down menu, below is a picture of what i mean.







Everything below the menu bar is in a table, so its not the table itself since the drop down appears over the pictures and other text. The only thing overriding it is the flash scroller.



Anyone have any ideas? i played with Z-index and such but no luck and in one instance it moves everything from the menu down over to the right of the menu, i could also be placing the z-index's in the wrong place. If anyone has any fixes please let me know.
