Hey guys I am making a application form for my website and I have a few questions...

After the application is complete and they hit Submit I want a message to come up and say "Thank you for the application" Then it clears all the text boxes etc to default so they know that the application is complete. How do I get that happening?

Also I want the application to go to my email however I do not want the application to open a email form, at the moment I have got Code:

<form action="MAILTO:contact@xin-gaming.com" method="post" enctype="text/plain">

but that opens up an email form so that they send it as if it was an email which I don't want. I want it to send it to my email but without the applicant knowing that it's going to my email. Sorry for the confusion ><

and its not submitting.

i think i messed up the link submits, what url shoudl be in there, when i put in index.phtml?file=contact.phtml it stays on the page but doesnt process.

also, is the enctype correct for this type of post?

also my doc type is xhtml strict, but i am going to have to satisfy a couple errors as far as that is concerned as well, its complaining about Quote:
document type does not allow element "input" here; missing one of "p", "h1", "h2", "h3", "h4", "h5", "h6", "div", "pre", "address", "fieldset", "ins", "del" start-tag
when i change the action even to itself which is /contact.phtml it still redirects to the home page.

i have to ask it, what obvious fundamental have i forgotton?

EDIT,
ok it must be in the link submits, when i delete the href tag out of it completely, it seems to be processing. i cant figure out why the # sign was in there, whats supposed to be there for a link submit? i trued a url and that didnt work right

This maybe a dumb question. I form that I use for my mailing list. I am having trouble getting the cursor to display as a text cursor over the input section and a hand cursor over the "sign up" button. Ref: http://bigdogcattle.com

Hi everyone, I have been trying to change the colors around on this template ( http://www.oswd.org/design/preview/id/1876 ) but I cannot figure out how to change the dark blue background (the top color and bottom color) or the greyish color for the tabs.

I can get part of the tabs to change color using my editor but even if I change each individual tab, the background color for that section is still the grey color. I have Dreamweaver and also Nvu as an editor and I'm just doing this to help a friend, so any help from you guys would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you very much!

There, under Additional Options for the properties you will see links. All I want to do is change the link color to black. That whole thing is inside a div class .property-middle

So I have a css rule .property a to color black (it's near the end in my stylesheet, http://test.rent2ownsb.com/css/style.css)

Hello, I'm trying to change the text color within a <li> tag in order to display a red "*Updated*" text since we have updated step 3 and want the user to notice it. I've tried using div but it ends up putting the text after "Updated" on a new line instead of on the same line like I want it. Thank you for any help!

I'm a SEO guy that knows HTML but my client wants me to center the blue box then make it white.

Now, I didn't design the site - but I looked at the code - the box is centered in the code and the bg is white - but if you look at the page, it doesn't look centered and the bg is blue. She has used a WysiwygEZ to edit - I tried both and I can't get it centered or get the table bg white.
