HTML - Template To Well Coded Website?
Are there any tips or tricks on how to go from a template made in a graphics program to a well coded website?.....because I can make great templates and slice them up and everything, but I can't seem to code them real well......all help is appreciated

When i am adding articles to my website i inserted into database and displayed it.But i have noticed in many of the websites, the link for articles and even blogging is .html file. But how they can include all the other common templates for website. for example this site : http://onjava.com/ (in this site everything blogging and articles are separate html files). I am building a website and am on my final stage of building the "tabs" at the top of the page and the html is driving me nuts I will attach the source code below. The tabs that are currently present (the ones included in the free template) are the following: Home About Templates Flash Contact The ones that I need are Home About Us Pics Multimedia Drag Racing Tech Articles For Sale Contact Us Can anyone steer me in the right direction? I don't want to manually have to make these tabs and risk having the letters not line up. Oh, and I am using Frontpage to build the site The title says it all. I'm the webmaster for a basketball sim league. I'm an HTML-noob, but I have enough basic skill to sporadically update. While recently updating the website, I coded over a vertical line. In the process, the entire column shifted about a 1/8 an inch downward. I didn't make the template for the site, but someone else from the sim league did. Can someone please help me bring back the vertical line and realign the column? Thanks much in advance!! How would you add a template to your site with HTML. This concept is getting very annoying and I have started arguing with someone on this subject. I think for now all i want is to go to cPanel, then right to a HTML editor, but every choice seems to leave me with some sort of forced template. I just switched from Sitebuilder to RVsitebuilder and was a little happier with the 'build your own' template... but still there is a template. I want to learn to design my own header, not have some preset thing.... Should I just keep messing with different builders? Try wordpress? PLease help. I'm trying to make a template for e-bay using Dreamweaver. When I use CSS, it applies everything to the whole auction, so even the e-bay things have the font as orange. I went in and changed everything to html and things look better, but I'm having a problem with the border around my images. I would like it to be the color in the background instead of black. Problem is, I didn't even know how to add some of the simple stuff. I was able to figure out how to add: a) the background b) the main header(banner) and c) a few normal pictures I have no idea however how to add the: sidebar, menubar (where about us, etc is), or the footer. Everything was alright but when I opened the html files in Dreamweaver again for work. One div in the middle it showed white space. When I viewed it in firefox, it viewed completely and there was no white space. The text was there , everything was there. I dont get it, where did the white space came from. Also, if I view the code view, that specific div is highlighted with yellow color. Also the yellow highlighted div is showing in the design view. I am attaching the screenshots. Here's what I got so far. Now my questions are, do I have to add the text on there now? Or will I add it with HTML later on? And my other question is, how exactly does the slice tool work? Do I just have to slice it all in pieces? Or do I have to add the URL to it too? (If you double-click a slice you can enter a URL, how can I know the URL if I don't even have a site yet?) Thanks a lot! Hi, I am searching for some templates which could accomplish two goals for my website: Goal 1: To display two lists in drop-down format, each with seperate subject matter. When two selections are made, they take the user to a new page via a button action with information on the combination of the two. Example: Form 1: Classic cars Form 2: 1960's Result: a list of 1960's classic cars. Goal 2: To display a picture associated with each item as the user drags the cursor over them in the list. I see brochure, web etc thanks so i need help with this .. what i want to accomplish is have everything with a width of 750px and each item to go after one another .. i thought a table would make that happen but it doesn't seem like it does .. on some previews it shows that it goes straight downward, but i think on larger resolutions it doesn't. i'm using this for ebay and it's showing up like this which isn't how i want it to look like. can someone help?
