HTML - Displaying Images In Firefox

Hi...I am looking to create a vertical solid bar, in an HTML table.

But it's not displaying right in Firefox! In IE it's fine...I want the bar to go to 100% of the <td> cell. Here is what I have:

bluepixel.gif is a 1x1 pixel GIF file.
Basically I'm creating a vertical colored version of a <hr> tag.

Again...in IE it fills out 100% of the height. But Firefox only shows a 5x5 square...no matter how big the browser is resized.

Any ideas??

Im having problems displaying my website in firefox, it displays fine in IE, however its displaying 1/2 way down the page in firefox. Any ideas where im going wrong?

As I said in my introduction I have been dragged out of to produce 2 websites which is not my usual area of IT business. I have used MS Visual Web Developer 2008/IIS because that is what I have and I am having trouble with a small piece of code:

With IIS Firefox displays 3 images horizontally across the page, but when this is uploaded to the Namesco host I get:

We have a Mandriva Linux file server so I have loaded the pages into Apache and get the same problem. Can anyone tell me what is the problem please.

It seems that it may be wise to transfer production to Linux. I have tried Amaya but my eyesight is pretty poor and a cannot read the very faint coloured text. It would be preferable if the code was changed so that it works on all platforms.

I have written this site with notepad. I use htm, css, and javascript routines from either freeware sites or other sources

The site displays galleries of images (an amateur interest of mine)

Each gallery page has a text preamble with thumbs below. Clicking on a thumb lays a transparent layer over the parent and a larger version of the image slides open centred on the page - looks very sweet (the routine is freeware - I adapted it to suit). Since doing this I've seen it a few times on other sites (don't you hate that!)

ALL galleries have been working well.

Today I decided to add a 1px border to the images in one gallery - I used a newly acquired version of CS4. PS is the only thing unique to this problem - I have updated from CS3 - but surely an image is an image is an image.

When I uploaded the new versions of the images the images don't open.

I have replaced them with origanals from D: to no avail?

I have used colour space sRGB and Adobe 1998 - just in case?

I have been in contact with my host and they say it's coding - but it's NOT!

I have redone the page with a template from another working page. The rewtritten page displays well (of course) but the images still don't open.

I have replaced the folder on the server in case the folder has problem (now I'm sounding like a jerk) Permissions are all correct.

I've used WS Ftp Pro and FZ - the image folder on the server is black - the others are not! I wonder what this is about?

Can anyone shed any light on this?

the attached below is a position template for displaying merchandise.

in IE the html shows properlly with no internal borders.

in FIREFOX (version 1.5.0.9), the cells and tables are all bordered.

i have now intentionally put - BORDERCOLOR="FFFFFF' and BORDERWIDTH="0" -wherever i possibly could in order to try and eliminate the borders from showing in firefox - to no avail.

any suggestions?

I have created a div which sits on the right hand side. I have created two different size ones as one of my html pages has a lot more content on it. here are in the divs in CSS: Code:

I am experiencing frustration due to the website that I've designed is being displayed perfectly in the Explorer browser, but in Firefox its all screwed up. Is it coding issues? My website is at www.wolfdenexpeditions.ca

hi guys. I am trying to get rounded edges to appear around my tables when displayed in Firefox. However, while it does display rounded edges, it also displays an angular border, which takes whatever colour the text has.

Can anyone tell me how I can get rid of the angular border, and just be left with the rounded one? Thanks!

Whever I try to view a page in firefox there are weird gaps in between images where as in IE 6+ it shows up perfectly.

I figured the problem lies in all the spacer images:

if I get rid of it - the results are picture perfect in Firefox and Safari - however now IE6+ will give simiar problems


Is there way I can get it working in all the browsers???

I am building a website for a local organization from an HTML template, and am having issues with images shifting to the right in IE, Firefox and other browsers on PC.

I am working on a Mac and the images appear as they should on Mac browsers, but are shifted a few pixels to the right on PC browsers. Changing the pixel alignment from top and left of the page doesn't solve my problem because then the images will appear too far to the left on a Mac.

Here are examples of two pages. Everything else appears as it should on PC browsers, except for the images.

Using the following code column within my datagrid. It gives me different results within firefox and IE. It should show some text and then the image should appear after the text. Within IE 7 it works fine but within firefox 3.6.10 the image is directly over the text. I'm not using a CSS file. This is a page I inherited and I'm asked to fix this. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I was wondering why I am getting a gap in firefox right below the flash header, along with by the "welcome to our company", "about our company", "company news", and "client login" images? This doesnt happen in IE, or other browsers.

I've just come to do my new site, but for some reason I can't get the site to display properly in Firefox 2.0.0.1. The images aren't working properly, the banner image I have put in place works fine in IE, displays in Opera (I'm still working on the layout), but won't display at all in Firefox. If I use the developer toolbar on my page, it reports as a broken image, but I click the link and the image displays. The alt text appears in my layout, which is more confusing.

But I can't find a solution for this. It's nothing to do with the markup, I've tried displaying the image in a completely blank page, still nothing.

I have a U3 drive, it has Firefox 1.5 loaded on it, the image displays fine in there.

Any ideas?

I have a set of images on my webpage in a grid that are links to other pages. ON safari these images apear 'normal', but on firefox they have a grey outline them, it's something to do with them being links but i'm not sure how to sort it out.

Any ideas?
