HTML - [html]website Print Problem!
Goodday,
I have a verry enoying problem on my company's website: www.tholeholland.nl When you press the print button it takes like 5 min. before it starts printing. Also the file is about 180 mb big.. ?? AND the tekst on the end of the page is left out.. Please help me.. I'have really tryed everything. Thanks! Greetings, Daniel Similar TutorialsHi Guys. My website contains a lot of text, and its continually printed by clients as it includes pricing etc. At the moment my pricing page is 4 pages of paper, however I wish to be a touch kinder to mother nature and be a bit more eco-friendly so I have created a document with all the pricing on one page which I have saved as a PDF file. I would like to add a link on my website to "Printer Friendly Version" which would link to the PDF and would bring up a print dialog box. What coding would I need to do this? I think it may very well be Java but I'm not the brightest when it comes to this Any help appreciated! I hope this all made sense! Hi all, I've just set up my website but there's a small problem when it's viewed in Internet Explorer. The address is http://www.angelsmithphotography.com.au When it's viewed in Internet Explorer, there's a small (approx 3-4 pixel height) black strip between the header image and the text below. I designed the site in Mozilla Firefox and so far, when viewing in that browser, this issue isn't there. I know my HTML is probably riddled with other issues (a legacy of learning HTML seven years ago and never bothering to update my knowledge much) but for now my primary focus is this one issue. I have had a poke around in the HTML and usually I would eventually find (or fluke) the solution, but I'm currently running out of time and patience and so hoped somebody else could help me! Thanks very much. Hello all!! First time to this forum, but it was highly recommended. I was wondering if anyone had a simple code for capturing the current pane of a web page you are on, then send it as a print job to your default printer. Backround: We have an internal web portal for sales of the company and contains both text and graphs. The graphs are shown on screen but will not print normally. The software company (Dimensional Insight aka Diver) knows of the issue, but until it is fixed I thought the above could be a work around to the challenge. Please let me know if I need to explain further. Right now the code for button I am using is listed below.. very clean and simple, just hoping I can add a screen capture to it. //Start Code <HEAD> <script> function printWindow(){ bV = parseInt(navigator.appVersion) if (bV >= 4) window.print() } </script> </HEAD> <BODY> <a href="javascript:printWindow()">Print This Page</a> </BODY> //End Code Hello all I was wondering is there a way in HTML/JSP to modify the original Print Page Setup, originally defined by the user? What I mean is that no matter what settings the user has on his Page Setup, I always want the page margins to be the following, when a user opens up my HTML and tries to print the page: Right = .75in, Left = .75in, Top = .4in, Bottom = .4in What I am using is the following CSS in my HTML: <STYLE TYPE="text/css" MEDIA="print"> <!-- BODY { margin-left: .75in margin-right: .75in margin-top: .4in margin-bottom: .4in } --> </STYLE> But it doesnt seem to work. If the orginal page margins defined by the user are more than what I am setting through my CSS, it doesnt seem to work. i.e. If the user has all his margins setup to .75in, my CSS doesnt seem to alter the same. I would be glad if someone could help. Thanks What are some (7) element tags except for <html>, <body>, <head> and <title> that I can use for a simple website? Reason I'm asking because I'm doing this stupid HTML website assessment at school, and I need to use at least 7 element tags in the website I'm making. Edit: Oh yeah, and I also need 7 attribute tags as well. Any help would be awesome. Thanks. Like I said this is my first ever HTML website. I had to put all my CSS syntax stuff into my HTML document because whenever I linked them to each other the CSS style sheet would not work. Was this a good effort for a first time website? Hi all, My roommate is looking to create a e-commerce website that consists of a hundreds of scrollable 'pages', left to right. Each 'page' will consist of a picture on the right side and a product offer on the left. The intent is to allow the user to easily scroll the 'pages', browsing through different types of products and pictures. She would want to use a platform or theme that is fully expandable and customizable, as she is eventually looking to implement social networking and magazine-like content and functionality. Again, she has no real design or coding experience. The only thing she is somewhat familiar with is Wordpress. So, what would be some of your suggestions for getting started? Thanks in advance Hey there, Say I want to create a website by myself, using my own HTML code. How would I do this? I am pretty good with HTML, and know quite alot. But when it comes to finding somewhere to place all the code, it confuses the hell out of me lol. So, a few questions. - What programme is the best for writing your code into? - Once I have saved the code in this programme, how do I upload it through the FTP? (like, where do I place it?) - Is that it, or is there more to it? Cheers guys, Preemo Hi, I have a really old website written in html works fine but wanted to update with a database for basic username password, and some basic search features, and small database. Need advise , should i use a CMS like ModX or ? Im looking for the very basic without having the website re written, just need something like a back-end manager , or should i build it myself with a small database a few includes some basic code changes ? I would love a pre-made application that i can just add to a index.html or .php file and just make a index.html template with all my stuff and just cut and paste my html stuff inside. or any tutorials out there for a conversion or any pre packaged stuff Maybe a script ? Thanks removed the message as help is no longer available Hello! I am almost done constructing my jewelry website. I am using Paypal on it. I figured out how to cut and paste the "Add to Cart" buttons. But I can't figure out how to get my "View Cart" button in the top right-hand corner of my pages. Their button wants to take up a whole lot of room, and it doesn't need the room--it's just a little button. I tried incorporating it into a table, and that didn't work. It wants to center itself under the heading I inserted it next to. Does anyone have any ideas for me? Hi, I've developed an estimating program on openoffice calc.. Now I would like to put this on my website. I have converted it to html and uploaded it to site. The links work but the user input's, nor the calculations do not work. Here are my questions: 1. Can I even do what I'm trying to do? 2. Are there special html calc. codes that I should be using instead? 3. If there are, where can I find them. 4. Is there a way of displaying my estimator as a standalone. In other words, it doesn't look like a spreadsheet. (columns, rows, cells, etc.) Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |
