HTML - Defanghtml_style Turning Off Styles In All Tags
Hi,
I am having a problem with a HTML email. When sent through to Outlook 2000 All styles within tags are being re-written with "defanghtml" this in turn is turning all the styles of within the email's HTML code. This is not happening for every recipient!? Has anyone encountered this problem? Do you know what causes it? Can it be stopped? Any ideas? I have a webpage filled with url links and of course the text turns purple when clicked on. How do I change this so the text stays blue even after being clicked on? I've been having this problem trying to create an external client for a game I play, the form from the website is Code: <form action="/bank/deposit" method="post"> <td style="padding-bottom: 1em; width: 100px"><input id="deposit_amount" name="deposit_amount" type="text" value="100" /></td> <td style="padding-bottom: 1em"><input class="submit-large" name="commit" type="submit" value="Deposit" /></td> </form> From this, it's obvious you can use http://mafialive.com/bank/deposit?desposit_amount=100 to deposit your cash on hand but I'm trying to also pull in the actual value in the deposit_amount input, so that I can just either link or dynamically generate a link that will bank the cash on hand. simply /deposit doesn't work as it seems to require an actual number. Thanks in advance! http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...ndID=450190416 im trying to make all that white space to that same purple 990088 i think it is what code would i put into the layout code to do that? i'm looking for a cheap way out of making collapse/expand code. i've learned a lot of 'ghetto' techniques n thought mayb i can use something similar to the html tricks i've learned in the past. the theory i have is.. i use the title of the collapse/expand text as a link to the text below it to open and close by using the navigating tags: Code: <a name="content">opening/closing text here</a> and the title above the content: Code: <a href="#content">Title</a> to open the area of text. now my idea of a shortcut around the whole css/html/javacript combo is to make the text below it use a Code: <font size=0>content</font> at default and have the href title link change the font size to the default 9pt but I don't know if that's even possible. Is it possible with the Code: <div> tags? and if so, using that, would i still b able to make a link like that? i used to use tables for the layout, now i'm trying divs..the thing is i'm not sure how should i think about the layout, i mean like tables i have rows, every row have cells, now with the divs i should think about it the same way? a container div to replace the main table, then another div to take place of a row, then divs as cells..an so on does that make any sense? i don't know if that was clear, but the question is: how should i think about it? i know the question sounds stupid but it seems that i just got used to tables & can't accept divs yet Is there a way to prevent text (like a link) from being selected? I use +/- headers that expand or contract a paragraph, but when clicked rapidly the text is selected. The same thing for images? However, there are two flash files on my website that are embedded using the object property: HTML Code: <object data="flButtons.swf" width="790" height="85" style="border-width: 0px;"> </object> And HTML Code: <object data="flSarah.swf" width="230" height="380"> </object> This works fine in firefox however, in internet explorer 7 it has a weird border like thing around it, and no matter what I try, I can't get rid of it. I initially had it on the iframe but i got rid of that using "frameborder=0".. this has no such attribute. Yes I know use CSS but this is one case it will not work because the CSS is overriding certain links. So I just want to use inline styles for these certain links. How would I go about do that? -Thanks ok, so I'm taking a course in college and the question came up... basically, if I do this [p style = "text-align: right"][h3]Information[/h3][/p] It won't apply the right justifictation, though if I put the justification setting in the h3 tag it does it, or if I switch the h3 to the outside and put the style on it, it works as well. Does anyone know why this is? My guess was that the h3 resets the text's formatting properties and then formats it? I just have a problem with the placing of a picture on a page. My website is www.fcumania.co.uk, which was created mainly with the use of a website designer - though these days I just edit it through Notepad. I have a problem whereby I need to add a small picture in the box where the crude "Hi-Resolution pictures" form is located. I can't seem to be able to edit the code, and the div tags in order to do this. I know it has something to do with the CSS, and so presuming you can view the source code on the main site, the CSS files are located he www.fcumania.co.uk/index_p.css www.fcumania.co.uk/index_g.css I'm sure all of you on here will be able to resolve this, and TIA if you can.
