HTML - Image Rotation On Page Load Rather Than Timed
hi,
i have an image rotation code, but its working on switching the code on a timer, and i want it to appear randomly on the page load. anybody know how to change the code? i have the timer part of it below. thanks in advance. var interval = 1.5; // delay between rotating images (in seconds) var random_display = 1; // 0 = sequential, 1 = random interval *= 1000; Similar TutorialsIs it possible with html? i've been working on a site but each time you click the next arrow a new page loads, all the text is in the same place so it doesn't move and is even in a fixed div but due to it being a new page everything loads, the text collapses until the larger image in the center loads. Of course this is fixed when the site is cached but of course the site would only be cached once someone has clicked through it and experienced the problems 27 times... so my question is is it possible to code for when i click the next arrow only a new image from a different link to load? is this possible with html? I don't know a single thing about flash or javascript. thanks for all the help in advance here is the page in question (not done but you can still see the problems. the home and bio links well, aren't links yet) http://www.paulodourado.com/ Hi, I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find it. I want to have several images rotate on my web page, I use Microsoft publisher and would like to do it in with HTML. I have been searching for a long time, and can't find a code that will work. I am somewhat familiar with HTML coding, but obviously, I'm not getting it. It seems like the codes I have found are a cross of PHP or HTML. Can someone find the script for me? Thanks explorer57 Hi guys I was hoping someone could help. We have a screen in IT at work and would like to setup a simple webpage which cycles through a number of other webpages showing content. What im trying to find is a simple way to do this but also add a fade out fade in effect. Can anyone help? Hi. I'm new to web development, and since I didn't have any luck on google with this I thought I'd ask here. What I need is the ability to allow only one user to access my page at a time, with the access time tied to their account/password. This is not a general web page, and you already have to vpn to get to it so overall security isn't a big deal. The system allows remote control of a few simple machines, and currently if more than one person can get to it simultaneously the last access steals control. Anyway, heres an example: Joe's Time: 1:00 - 3:00 M, cannot login before 1:00 and auto-logout at 3:00 Tom's Time: 3:00 -5:00 M, Bob's Time, etc.. I suspect this might require Java or something, but I don't have the first clue where to start looking. Its a windows box btw, and I don't have control of the user machines so this has to be set up for my local directory. Any hints (or free code if this is a simple/stupid question) are appreciated. First let me apologize if this post has been made and/or belongs in another area but I'm not too sure even sure how to ask this. My humble site is set up like such using HTML and CSS: As of right now I have it such that when a navigation link is clicked it loads a whole new page. How can I do this such that only the "main text" area (which sits inside a table) is loaded? I hope that makes sense! Hello, This is an unusual one, but I have converted two Excel files into HTML files, and I also have a HTML page with some information on. I have a live of code which controls the auto refresh of each page. Is there any way that I can set this so that when the page refreshes, it loads a different page. The pages are part of a display screen that will show stats and info. I would like to set it so all three pages rotate/change every minute or so. Thanks in advance. Howdy, perhaps someone can help. at my page http://glassbala.com/calculator/calculator.htm either link for the spheres opens a shadowbox. the sphere on the right shows the issue the best the page that loads is the issue. this problem was around before recent shadowbox upgrade. there is a submit box that i have used code to have the box clear when clicked. when the page loads, it ensures that the submit box is visible. this causes the page to autoscroll down so the box is visible. is there an approach so this does not happen? thanks much for any suggestions. peace out... Hi, I was wondering if any one could tell me why my page is not loading and why it seems to want to load an active x control when I have not put one on there Thanks for your help Hi, I have a little problem here.. should you visit my site using IE (don't myself ) it will start loading then randomly say "Cannot open <webpage>". This is very irritating. Does anyone know why this is? Has it happened to anyone else? For the moment, I have put up a temporary home, but the old one is here for you to see. It works on Firefox when the user agent is changed, so it is a IE-specific problem. http://mattsnow.co.nr/home2.html Any help GREATLY appreciated. -matt. Hi. I wonder if someone could possibly help me with something. My website does not load properly to the top of the page and I cannot figure out why. Any help would be appreciated. Here is the url: http://www.codefreedom.com Thanks, Rosco. Can anyone tell me why this page will show with Firefox but won't load or show with IE? http://www.bestsellersworld.com/reviewtest.htm Hi, I'm having a strange problem. I've added a new page to my website, but I can't get the image to load. It loads OK from a folder on my desktop, but when I copy the files to my web host the image won't load. Any ideas, anyone? Stuart. Hi guys, my first day here + i'm new to web design. i'm trying to learn html from the scratch and trying some simple tutorials. i faced a bit of a problem. I have the following code to display some web site :

This is my Main Page

This is a heading2

This is some text.

This is a link to Page 1

This is a link to Page 2

problem is as soon as i add to the code above, it just doesn't work and when i try to load the page i get a new window popping up that tells me "C:\....path.... can not be found" why? how can i load an image to the site? where should i be saving it? and are there constraints concerning the size? thanks in advance... cheers, Lina OK so i'm new at all this but can't seem to find out how to do this. I'm working on a site that has daily schedules for clubs. For example if someone clicks on "Downtown" and today is Thursday, then i want all the thursday listings to pop up. So how would I make the page that corresponds to whatever day it is load from a single link Thanks Hello, I have created a page that has a number of images on it as well as a large flash file. I have a little image that comes up while the flash file is loading so that is ok, but the problem is I'd like to specify the order in which item on the page load because the flash file is stopping the rest of the page loading properly. Do you know what I mean? For example i'd like my header to load first and the other images and when they are finished loading then the flash file can start. I'm sure I have read it somewhere before but cant find it anywhere. Every other problem ive had has been solved here so I know someone will have the answer! Thanks again, in advance. Hi ! I want to delay loading an image (Logo.gif) a while while the backgound image is loading. How ? /Bertil This is giving me serious grief. I've set up an index page containing a number of thumbnail graphics. One of the images (the 12th) loads fine in IE7 and Safari, but not in Firefox 3 or Opera. Here's the link: http://www.pragma.pwp.blueyonder.co....ono/index.html Any thoughts? Hello, Could someone please help I have made a very simple site http://www.101.dentalcompanion.com I placed a image to sit on top, it works when crome opens but in internet explorer and firefox the image does not open. I also added the same image in a
tag in the siidebar and the same issue crops up. i thought I had it worked out but I just can't seem to make it work. Thank you ever so much. kama I have a very strange intermittent problem that I can not figure out. Sometimes, one image on my page does not load. When it does not load the image in the
next to it is in its place, and next to that image there is a blank spot the size of the image that did not load. The part that really confuses me is that when I view that pages source the tag is there with the name of the image. The name of the image is rather long, about 25 characters long. The first thing I am wondering is if a long file name might prevent the image from loading. I doubt it... but, I don't know what else to consider. Here is what that section of code looks like:
<img src="img/Lucky_Top_312_90_Bubble.jpg"width="312" height="90" vspace="0px"/>
Thanks, Matt Hello All, I have 2 java scripts from dynamicdrive.com which I want to load on same page, If I load 2 scripts in same page bot will not work I get loading however If I use only 1 scripts it works great. Am I missing something? Please help me Thank you |
