HTML - Buttons Fail To Work Once Used On Nested Forms
Hi Folks,
Before I submit code, of which there is a great deal, I was wondering if someone could help me understand a little problem with buttons. My setup is this: 1) A drop-down menu triggers the creation of the form associated with the selection. 2) On that form are three radio buttons which open another form depending on the selection. Sounds simple enough but once the form is opened via radio button you can't click on them until you re-select the same option from the drop-down menu. My objects are set up as follows: Main document - Main form - DD menu - Text field - Sub-form - 3 radio buttons - Sub-form MK2 - Buttons, text fields and labels oh my My thought process is I have a main form object which has a child (Sub-form) and its child has a child (Sub-form MK2). What's even more confusing is when I print out the status of any of the radio buttons it says they are enabled... I just can't interact with them. I have a PHP page with buttons that brings up the content of the page, but there are many buttons, in 3 major categories. I would like to turn the categories into buttons, and have only the selected category drop down. When a different category is selected, I would like the first category buttons to disappear (or scroll back up) and the new category buttons to drop down. I.e. create my own buttons. I can't use input because it creates it's own button and using the <button> makes my button on top of that grey button. Burrito. I'm new to this stuff. Could I be using javascript. And if so, do I use some sort of identifyer in header or can I put it in the document? I've got a quick question. I've got a page with about 6-8 forms on it. Several of the forms are nearly identical, as they accept an ID number, or a selection made from a pop-up option list. What I want to do is collapse the identical forms into a single data entry area and then have several different submit buttons which have different values, then use the value of the submit button to determine what action to perform for the form. My question is... is this a proper use of the type=submit input element, or am I better off keeping the forms separate. All the forms call the same PHP script (itself) to perform the action. I'll be trying it out, but I don't want to waste time redesigning the page if what I'm trying to do will not work. Thanks. Hello, I am trying to create a form so that member can submit a file to our Yahoo! Group. However, I cannot get it to work. Perhaps that this is not even possible? I have an html file that can click on and after they have filled out the form, they would click "submit" and it would post that file into out Yahoo! Group file section. If this isn't possible, is there a way to have it bring up a page with all the information on it after they submitted it so they can just copy and paste? I want to add a total of 10 forms to the same page but can only get the "Double Combo" box vehicle "Make and Modle" to work in "Ad 1". (see page link below) What am I missing or what do I need to do? I have a parent div=body, and four child div's=sidebar (dark gray), spacer1, content (white), and spacer2. Those are not the backgrounds of the individual div's. I'm using a faux columns method of taking the parent's bg and y-repeating it. You can see the problem below. This works in IE6, but not in Firefox. This would lead me to assume there's a problem in my coding, but the way FF is displaying it...it's like firefox is placing it in a different column just to peeve me off. Could it have something to do with the image scripting? Hi Everyone, Please refer to attached test.zip. Open a.htm, tested under IE, Safari, Firefox no problem, but ONLY google chrome fail, seems cannot use call parent javascript function under the child iframe. Please advice. Hello, I am new here and hope someone can help. I am creating a page where I need to have several nested lists. The 'numbering' is showing up correctly but the 'nested' lists are not indented. How can I get rid of the 1px in IE7 ? I am having a problem that I can not figure out why this is happening. I have two divs one named content and one named welcome. The welcome div is nested inside the content div. Whenever I change the margin top for the welcome div it also changes the margin top of the content div it is nested in. There are two <td> fields in the innermost table, and are having links inside them. When I open the page in IE, and move the mouse over to the first cell, the whole cell becomes active. I need to find a way of displaying some thumbnail photos in a table cell across a bunch of different tempates. I put a new thumbnail in the group about once a week, but I dont want to edit every template I have. Is is possible to have code in the table cell that say's get thumbnails.htm and put them in this cell That way I can just edit thumbnails.htm and it will show up on all the templatess/pages I'm sure it can be done, but I'm not sure how to go about it.
