HTML - Link To Dvd Files Are Not Working

I have an image with link tags around it but it doesnt work in IE6. See code:

Hello. I'm having this rather frustrating problem. I'm using GoLive to build a really simple site. For some reason, I've been having problems with random text links not working. In checking the code, everything looks okay to me. It works in IE, but I won't even get any indication (when it's moused over or clicked on) that a link exists when it's open in Firefox. The problem is evident in preview, and live.

Okay so I am working on a website and on the services page I used anchor tags to jump to places on the page. They all work great except for one. The page validates and I dont see anything any different from that markup to all the other markups I have done. It is up on a test server at www.vsncom.com/melkay/services.html The link thats not working is underneath the Electrical maintenance block and it is the link to go back to the top. Also on the entire site. The map page, contact, and services all shift slightly to the left. The pages all use the same css...any ideas? or is it just an optical illusion?

Hi there,

I'm experiencing a strange problem in IE with the show-hide layers behavior. I have 4 layers, each with images inside them which are meant to link to other pages. This works fine in Firefox but not so in IE. The odd thing is that when you hover over the images in IE the link appears in the status bar and if you right click and choose "open link" it does work. The site is here www.patons.org/v2/ and its the images at the top that I'm talking about. Any help would be much appreciated.

I am using Dreamweaver CS3 to create a site, by default i have learnt that when you use an image as a link to another page, dreamweaver creates a coloured border around your linked image.
I have since been able to get rid of this border by adding border="0" into my img tag however this now has caused my rollover not to work before clicking on the image to take you to the linked page.

this is my code; any ideas how i can fix this?

How do I need to change it such that a new instance of the browser is used in which the linked site is displayed.

Hi, I'm newly registered and seeking some assistance. I'm working on a website for a client and come across an issue.

The following is my iFrame code:

I have a link that is at the bottom of the page that is supposed to load in the iFrame when clicked upon. The code is as follows:

 <a href="somelink.html" target="framez">some link</a>

What I want is when the link is clicked that it loads in the iframe (this works as intended) AND I want the page to scroll up to the iframe. I tried doing this without success:

 <a href="somelink.html#iframez" target="framez">some link</a>

This is interpreted as #iframez in somelink.html, and not the page its on. Is there any way around this?

Ive been working on a website in my free time, and I have been wondering if it's possible to hover over a link, and change the text color of another link. A picture of one of my web pages is shown in the link below.

I want to be able to hover over something from the side navigation bars and have various links in the bottom naviational bar change color. So like hovering over Blood Elf, would make Death Knight, Mage, Paladin, Warlock, Priest, Rogue, Hunter turn red

Could anyone please tell me the code to call an external html file?
I need to refresh my memories!

I'm sure this is probably one of the dumbest questions to appear here, but how would I get a link to a file to open that file in its native program - i.e. a .doc into Word or a .xls with Excel rather than in an IE plugin?

Problem is, of course, whilst the IE plugins work, they don't have full functionality.

I read somewhere that you could change the default settings in Windows, but part of what I'm trying to set up is on a business computer and of course, things like file associations and registry are tied down pretty tight so they can't be accessed, so I need to do it from within a page of links.

Scroll down a bit until you see a table titled "Download PDFs" on the left-hand side.

Click any one of them. Does anything happen, or do you get what I get: a blank window?

Explorer doesn't seem to have this problem. I click on any of the links, I get the option to either open the PDF file in the browser or download it. If I choose to open in the browser, it does just that.

Why would it not do the same in Firefox?

I have some text embedded within a '.gif' file and dont know how to change the text.
I downloaded Adove Photoshop Elements 6.0 but when i use the horizontal type tool and type over the text, it makes the original text fuzzy and does not enter the new text.
What am i doing wrong ?
