HTML - Adding Site Banner In Dreamweaver Template

Similar TutorialsI have a Dreamweaver template located in a folder called "Templates" - the default and seemingly unchangeable folder Dreamweaver saves .dwt files in. All my .htm files are located one folder up. When I make a new page from this template, my new page can't find images because the template sees them in this directory: "../resources/images" and the page sees them in this one: "resources/images". The file in question is part of the background and therefore not an editable region, so I can't just remove the "../" to link the file correctly. Previously, Dreamweaver has updated the links to wherever I save my .htm file but not today. What am I doing wrong? In the Optional zones only one of my zones will update! I save the template and it's fine but the rest of my pages won't update!! What gives?? swingrays I'm not sure this is the correct place to post this question. Please redirect me if it is not. I am trying to use a template for all the pages on my site. I am using Dreamweaver. When I apply the template to a new page, it appends the path of the template directory to all my links, and won't let me edit them. I'm not sure in general how templates are supposed to work. Can I do this without Dreamweaver? Is there a good FAQ on templates somewhere that I can read? I have read various post all over the net about site problems in IE but ok in Firefox, Safari etc. Well, I have that problem too and have failed to identify the problem within my site. I am a novice websiter - relying on DW to do most of it for me! However.. the video appears top left of my page always. I have been following this incomplete tutorial series http://www.youtube.com/user/EdzJohnson and have a finished product of what was done in Photoshop Website Design Tutorial 2. As of right now there is no third tutorial but I would still like continue developing my website. Currently the code represents the lay out of sliced up images for the web banner and some map tags surrounding the locations of where a button would link you to something else.
