HTML - Problem In Coding Display Size Of Html Files
Hi there,
I'm curious of how to code a fix display size of html files. If I were to set the size (when launching) as a monitor size 1024 x 768, which means users don't need to scroll up and down anymore. *coding above* Please help! case closed!!! I sorted the problem...thanks guys! As a part of a project I am doing I want to display images on a website. The width/height of the image displayed on the screen should depend on the orientation of the image. The idea is to make the longer side 150px, so if width is greater than height then width=150px, else if height > width, then height=150px. Is there a simple way of doing this? My solution to this is to store the image height and width in a database (I already need to create a database for images), and am using onLoad attribute to change the width/height based on a boolean parameter which tell the orientation of the image, a test version of the code is here (wait for the image to load) http://www.confusionart.com/public/test.html However, as you can notice, first the complete image is loaded and then resized to the desired size. i.e. there is a unnecessary switching of sizes on screen. Is there any way to avoid this. Hi Guys, I hope someone can help me out. I have slightly changed the layout of my website and it now appears that at the bottom of one of my pages the HTML is different for no reason. Take a look Here and the part saying "Terms and Conditions" is different to everywhere else on the website (click any of the links within the webpage to see how it should look). I am working on dreamweaver cs5 translating an affiliate site. The directory that contains all my website folders and subfolders has many identical pages, in html and in php script. For example I have the same page in the aboutus folder named as index.htm and.......the same page exists in a folder called templates with a different name as 4v4567opjfh.php. Now...yesterday i did synchronization in dreamweaver (ticked the delete remote files not on local drive) and suddenly my website was completely ****ed-up…. I then deleted all the ftp content and re-uploaded using a back up copy BUT the browser now only reads the 4v4567opjfh.php file and not the index.htm….. Any suggestions on what I should do in order to make my browser read the index.htm and not the php script? Many thanks! Anton i have 2 frames in my parent frame say 1.htm ie left frame and 2.htm ie right frame now this 1.htm is quite a long frame and has a scrollbar and 2.htm is a short one i dont the scroll bar beside my frame 1 but want it to be for my entire parent window ie i wont to scroll both my left and right frames together how do i do that I want people to be able to upload some large image files (>5M each) to my site using an upload form - the usual <input type="file" name="file" size="30" /> <input value="Upload" style="width: 60px" title="blah blah" type="submit" /> The first time someone tried it they said they couldn't upload their file. I then experimented and found that I couldn't upload files of more than about 2M size (2M worked, 2.5M and higher didn't work). Theserver seemed to give up after awhile and print out the error message that I put in for instances when the file didn't successfully upload. Is there a size limit for files uploaded through HTML forms? If so, is there a way to increase this limit via the HTML script, or something else? Can please somebody advice how to fix this? Also, IE 6.0 sometimes stalls for a minute when displaying my webpage (Firefox does not have this problem). Hello there, everyone! I'm new to the forums and also not the best one at HTML, but as I'd need some HTML for a project in school since it would be useful in what we're working on I thought I would ask you guys over here for some help, since what I've tested doesn't really worth out great and it's quite in a hurry right now. So, lets go! What I'd like to do is that in the first page, lets call it "The site where you choose music", there's gonna be a list of say 10 different songs, where you can choose to click in the box at the songs you would like to hear, could look something like this (just an example-picture): http://pici.se/pictures/PMYqqclCT.jpg What I'd like to do now is that the songs that I've chosen should follow when I click the "PLAY"-button to a new window, where the songs I've chosen will be listed. E.g. if I choose Song 1, Song 3, Song 6 and Song 8 in the list these should be the only ones to follow when clicking "PLAY", while the others doesn't. I know these might not be the hardest things to do, but I've had some problems due to the pressure in the project. Also, is there anything special I will need to do with the "PLAY"-button (besides from having the link to the site where the songs etc. will be placed) in order to be able to get the songs with me? Haven't worked with this too much. So, is there anyone out there with some spare time who would mind helping me out? Would be really appreciated. Anything from just pure small bits of help, to a full set of codes that would work out for me, depending on the difficulty/time it would steal from you guys. /Grelien ^_^ If there's anything unclear with my question please say so, tried to be as explaining as possible without making it too long (to prevent "TLDR") or too short. The website is used within my company to view different powerpoint presentations and excel spreadsheets that are updated every week. I want to put a form or a table on the frontpage to show what files have been updated recently. For instance if the file has been updated yesterday and is current (Weekly file) then I want the table or form to show the name of the file and highlight it in green. If the file is more then 7 days old I want it to be red. Can someone point me the the right direction? |
