HTML - Links Corresponding To Embedded Video Questions

Hi all, I'd like some help with the coding so that I can wrap text around embedded video. I'm not a genious at HTML so if you could make it easy to understand that would be great. Thanks in advance.

I would like to link an youtube video on one of my blog post using the embedded code that youtube provided. So I added in my post html view this code:

Before to publish the post I tested it, with the wordpress preview option. Some browser not works well.This is the scenario:

1) Using the last version of the Internet Explorer browser the post with the video works fine.

2) Using the last version of the Google Chrome browser I have to reload the html page two times before to view exactly the embedded video. After that the page works fine but when I load for the first time the page I don't see the video.

3) Using the last version of the Safari and the Firefox browser I have to reload two times the html page before to view the embedded video and after I have a problem viewing the video. The message is that the format video is not supported.


Could you please help me to solve the problem. Which is the correct way to use the embedded code starting from youtube website ?
How can I debug the issue ?

Using the Greasemonkey script on Facebook, I was able to embed a video on my website. However, the code is not XHTML compliant (includes embed tags). The code is below. I've struggled trying to convert this into code using the object tag. is it possible? Can someone show me where I need to move each part of the existing code into an "object" based code?

Hi i have sucessfully added an embedded code to my site... not a problem.. copied and pasted html coding from a video.. into html view.. fine.
However.. the video appears top left of my page always.

Within the embed video code i see no parameters for screen positioning.. just size.. which is repeated twice (all codes from utube vids etc seem the same)

Hi there,

I know nothing formal about HTML, hence the code below being converted from an Open Office file. Hopefully it is readable - it is some declarations, a body with maybe 10 links in it, and then an embedded video code from Exposure Room.

I have the alignment how I want it, but the background-black in the body doesn't work any more. Is anyone able to show me how to keep the center alignments I have but also switch the background of the whole page to black? It works if I take out the <center> tags but then everything is left aligned, which I don't like.

as the title says, I am wondering if there is a way to include the content of a link in the page itself.

example:

this is a regular link to a html page:
<a href="next.html">next</a>

let's say I don't want the file next.html, is there a way to include the content of next.html somewhere and refer to it from the page directly?

I am not sure I am explaining this well, so I'll say it again: I want to be able to put several html files in one file, meaning I click on links for pages defined in the same html file I am viewing. (this is for use with a tab system in iframes generated dynamically from a database)

As an exemple, if we use an iframe, you can include html code between <iframe>html code here</iframe> directly without using src, so I guess we can do the same for just about any link?

for sure this can be done, but can it be done in html or do I have to use javascript or something?

Question 2, it's about a display link, when i rollover the mouse on some link it's display it on the bottom of internet explorer like on this picture :

Hi all
I'm not exactly super profficient with HTML but I kinda know what I'm doing.
I'm making a html document for the place that i work which stors quite large video files ona server (in the order of 1.5 to 2gig).
I have the HTML document on another server, however. Basicaly what i want to do (and this is a very simplified version of my goal but its where the problem lies) is to have links from that HTML to the video files on the video server. So you click the link and it asks you if you want to save it or open it etc..
So this seems fairly simple... i've just got a
<a href="\\videoservername\vod$\video_library\example.mpg">Click Here</a>
which works but INCREDIBLY SLOWLY. I mean i knew it would take 5 minutes to copy the videos across... which it does if i link to the directory of the video rather than the video itself. So thats all good. But when its linked directly to the video file it takes a good 15 minutes between the 'Save or open' box and the 'where do you want to save' box. Once it does come up it saves in about 5 minutes like expected.
I just dont get why it takes so long for the 'where would you like to save' to come up.
If anyone knows a way around this or could even exaplain why its like this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi everyone, I hope I have posted this in the right area. This is my first time posting here. I currently have my main pages listed at the top of my site as graphics (see fussybaby.ca). I would like to potentially remove these graphics and use text links instead - I had the graphics designed for me, so I can't just go in and make new ones, however I'd like to change/rearrange the links and add some new ones.

So my question is: How hard is this to do? Is this something I need to hire someone to do for me?

I am trying to add an RSS feed that pulls from about a few sites to http://www.econslt.com/test/index3.html under "Breaking News". I want this to update and conform to about the dimensions on the page 235 x 300. This is also my first RSS so I'm not too sure on the process. What is the best way to accomplish this?

The site is ECI, I want to pull from the links at http://www.usa.gov/Topics/Reference_...Security.shtml.

So, I want them to display as links under the "Breaking News" section. you click, you go to the article. But, how can I make this also something you can subscribe to?

If you navigate to my Schedules page, you can see there is an embedded calendar. At the bottom of this calendar, there is a line of text saying:

"Want to add an event to this schedule? Contact us by clicking on the link above, and we will post it as soon as possible."

I view this website on the current computer I'm using on Firefox, and the line of text can be viewed just perfectly. On my other networked computer, however, in MSN Explorer, i view the same page, but the same line of text seems to be too large, and it cuts off half the phrase. I was thinking the screen resolution was different, and that caused the text to be cut off in the browser. Yet i think there is a way for this line of text to be viewable on any computer, regardless of any screen resolution.

I put the embedded code in a table format, as it is currently. The embedded code is with between the tags <TABLE><TD> and </TD></TABLE>. I remember looking somewhere that putting code in a table would cause it to appropriately "resize" itself in any monitor/screen resolution/browser size. Apparently it does not.

So, I came here to ask an HTML expert if there is any way for my embedded calendar's footer text to be fully viewed, in any screen resolution or browser. Thanks for your time, and thanks so much in advance.
