HTML - Mouseover Sound And Image Swap

Does anyone know if there is a way to get an image swap without using Javascript?

In other words, could I set it up so when I hover over a link, an image will change to another one in HTML, CSS, or PHP?

How can I make an image swap when I mouse over another image.

Mouse over image 1, and image 2 turns into image 3. So 2 images visible at once.

My client friend wants a links page with rollover emails that chage the main image of the page so he can have a different sketch of each of them.

My idea, and its backfiring as I can do this if I change the email text into images with swap image and a target but he wants them to remain as copyable (mmm is that even a word?) text.

Can it be done with text without making it an image?

I made an html newsletter with dreamweaver and I used the swap image behavior. I can view the result perfectly in explorer. Now I mailed it to my own mailbox (via explorer) and in outlook (and also in hotmail) the swap image effect doesn't appear.(the second photo is not shown) Is there a possibility to see this in my mailbox?
I tried to paste the code into my outlook, but that doesn't work with the regular outlook, I only can view the source, not edit it.

Making a site here, but I want to change the image when my mouse is over it. How do I do this in HTML? It's best if I dont have to use any scripts. Thought there where a very easy basic way to do this, but somehow I cant figure it out ^^

If I have to use any cripts, please let me know which you reccomend. Easy task, image should just change to another one.

Hi guys, new to the forum and it looks like a helpful place. I've searched for my answer but can't find the solution hence why I'm posting here.

What I want to do I imagine shouldn't be too difficult but I'm very new to this and trying to teach myself as I go. What I have is an image with various hotspots on it pointing to different pages. Now My hot spots work fine which amazed me but i what i need to be able to do is when i rollover a hot spot a pop up type window comes up showing a small amout of information about the page its linked to and a small image of same web page.

I would appreciate any help but please bear in mind I am really new to all this so instructions wil have to be really basic or you'll just lose me. Oh and I'm using dreamweaver if that helps. If this is possible in one of the other adabe programmes where I could save all the information on the image or whatever then I'm willign to try anything. Cheers guys.

I am having an impossible time finding the correct way to code this in Expression Web 4. I want to have an image that when it's moused over will change to another image, and back again to the original image when you move the mouse off. Nothing I can find online seems to do the trick, though. Any suggestions?

Hello! I'm having trouble with a mouseover image I'm using. I've done mouseover before, but for some reason, it isn't working for me! It is a download button, and if you move your mouse over it, it is supposed to be highlighted. I have it on the page 11 times. If I use it just once, it works. If I use it more than once, it doesn't work. Can anyone tell me why?

Hello All,

I am trying to create a single image slideshow that will scroll from left to right with a mouseover. I would like to image to scroll to the left when the mouse is over the left side of the image or button and visa versa for scrolling to the right. If anyone could point me in the right direction on how to do this or perhaps provide me with a tutorial I would greatly greatly appreciate it.

This is my first post. Im a beginner with website design.

I want to have mouseover images that are links to pages on my site. The thing is I want them to controll my In line frames. Normally you do it like

<A HREF="inf4.html" TARGET="right" >Click Here</a>

But how do I do it with a mouseover image?

I've found some help here already, so thanks in advance to the good folks that help us novices.

I have just a couple that need addressing, but they're pretty important to me, so hopefully someone can spell them out.

I'll explain them below but here's a quick rundown first:
1.) Wrapping text around a captioned image
3.) A pop-up text bar when a link is moused over.

1.) When I'm posting an image, a caption is almost always necessary. Here's the code I've been using for the image and caption:
"<table class="image">
<caption align="bottom">CAPTION</caption>
<tr><td><IMAGE LINK></td></tr>
</table>"
But when I post like that, there's a break between paragraphs to show the image, which disrupts the reading flow. I need a code that will let me post an image, add a bottom-aligned caption, and still have the story text appear alongside the image.
NOTE: I've been shown the "align=left/right" code, but where do I insert that in the code listed above?? I've tried right before and right after the image source code, but to no avail. Help, please!!

2.) I'm willing to spend hours to learn this one. Somebody, somebody has to know how to do this one. It's done on this site!
OK, here it is.
You mouse over a post listing, and a text bar appears next to the cursor. In that bar is the first few lines of the person's post.
HOW IS THIS DONE???
For someone looking to find new ways to boost hits on a news site, this is a priceless gem. If anyone knows how to do this or something similar in HTML, PLEASE let me know.

Okay. I'm trying to make it so when you mouseover a players "avatar" the border color changes from grey to red.

The following code works PERFECT in IE, but FF, the border doesn't show up at all.

Wondering if it's possible to make a circular image change to a different image on mouseover for each of the links in the sample photo. I'm thinking this would be easy to do if the image were square and not circular.

I am creating a website that has a search button with an image. I would like to know if there is some simple code that I can include that would display the same basic image with a different color when the user mouses over the button.
