HTML - Huge Problem
Ive coded my a layout and uploaded it but it looks different in ie than it does in firefox

The gaps are between "Choose a Transaction", "Transaction Types" and the button "Next". I have included the page code and attached an image for reference. Mentor has the ability to be at the forefront of this new movement. Mentor has an abundant<br>
amount of renewable resources; wind, solar, and wave. </p>
<p>In many fields companies are going belly-up. Green companies are the only ones that are<br>
still springing up and they are expanding at record rates. </p>
<p>We can make Mentor a green city on a blue lake, in this instance green will have two<br>
meanings.
We will bring money into our economy and we will bring high-paying,<br>
stable jobs of the future to the shores of Mentor. </p>

Unemployment is at 10.8 percent, families are losing their income, and nobody is addressing the problem. The labor market is growing, while employment opportunities are decreasing. In the last six months eight hundred and sixty-seven jobs have been lost, even more hours have been cut. . .
<p>I could keep going on and on about the recession, but this campaign isn't about sulking and complaining about the economy. This campaign is about standing up and making a difference. </p>
<p>We can produce jobs in a number of ways. One way is attracting companies to Mentor by providing tax incentives, using a grant program. Another way is specifically targeting energy production. Mentor has an abundant amount of renewable resources; waves, solar, and wind. We can produce energy at a local level and curb our dependence on foreign oil and other outdated, imported forms of energy. Investing in the future of energy will bring jobs to Mentor; installing, maintenance, and maybe even production. We need jobs of the future here in Mentor, if we want to be competitive in the future. </p>
<p>If elected, I will be able to be that much closer to the ears of higher government. I will push cutting taxes for the people and small businesses that are hiring workers. I will push for more funding for our libraries, so that more positions can be filled. I will push for an educational program that allows students to go off to Lakeland, and other local colleges, to learn skills that they can bring back to Mentor.</p>
<p>We need to adapt to a more progressive money-making economy. I hate to say it, but we're falling behind. It's about time we catch-up.</p>

(20 textboxes, 10 textareas, 40 checkboxes). Besides this the textual inputs must be present for 4 different languages. I mean if there is a textarea for description then there must be 3 others as well for description in different languages. In this case the form becomes very big and hard to fill for the admins. It has first/next/last/latest buttons on it and a drop down menu to go to a specific comic. The problem is in the menu. I made it and it works perfectly. The only problem is when I make a new comic I would have to update all 100-or-so comic html pages to show the new comic in all of the drop down directories. How do I update one page to show all of the comics on the same drop-down form? Hey Guys Im after hitting a huge brick wall with a college proj. I have created a web-site with dreamweaver. Its saved as .php. I opened it todyay and once the browser opens new pages keep opening. Only way to stop it is to kill the page. I have tried opening it in explorer and it just crasher explorer. This has only happened as recently as today, with the proj going on since jan. Hello I am a total newbie to html and I am sure this can probably be answered in a second.... I am trying to make my title text very large to make a statement - maybe 5 cm high. It doesnt seem to matter how big i make it in my nvu editor, ( in the normal screen mode) once i upload it to my webspace online it only appears at a much smaller size. I can make it so the title literally fills the screen in my nvu editor and then upload it to my webpage and it still restricts the maximum size it shows it at. Does it sound like i am doing something wrong in my nvu html editor or should i be using some html text in the source mode to make the large text recognisable to my webspace, ie: using some font size comands? I hope this makes sense. When I minimize the screen, it is minimizing the whole thing and collapsing it making the iframes smaller and the text fit into a smaller space. Most websites have a code (i don't know what it is) so that when someone minimizes their browser, it just makes the browser smaller and not the actual page. Help? My daughter is building a website for some kind of school competition and is having a problem with how a table is displaying in IE 9. It displays properly in Chrome and FF though so I'm not sure what the problem is. Keep in mind, she's just a junior in HS and used, by all accounts, some antiquated methods in constructing the page. That said, I'm hoping someone could offer some insight into the issue. The table should be centered and the same the width of the banner and menu. For Chrome and FF, the table is centered on the page when the viewing resolution allows all the content to fit without the need for a scroll bar. On the pages where a scroll bar is needed, the table is shifted to the left to accommodate the scroll bar and thus becomes off-centered. I was thinking that an i-frame could take care of this since the scroll bar would then be located on the inside of the i-frame. In Chrome and FF, maybe it would. However, in IE, the table is displaced to the left on all pages. Interestingly enough, the displacement is the same with and without a scroll bar. Sooooo, I would humbly ask those with knowledge of such things to offer advice or a solution to this problem. Much appreciation is extended in advance. There have been numerous other problems also such as paragraphs turning into 2 word colums etc, but only when viewing in Internet Explorer on the PC. It just drives me nuts. This is very simple html coding. I'd love to get the opening page right as it will be the template for all other pages. HELP! |
