Ok, we know that as technology moves forward, some things dont. I'm no hot shot on these things and would be interested to know of all that exist to date. So what i would like is a point of reference to all Coders of all levels listing all the things that we just shouldn't do anymore. Please contribute and Add anything worth mentioning or even questions about things you don't understand. Thank You, Nimitha Hi there, I maintain a Rap/Hip-pop web site for a group of my friends, all that we have on the site is a quick intro, and a way in flash for people to listen through the web browser to our songs. We don't offer to sell anything at this point, and simply want to add some additional features. I was wanting to make a like a bulletin board or forum for various topics related to music and creation and other aspects of that business. I have my web site hostied by someone else, and I have access to MySQL and PHP and stuff like that, but I have limited control over permissions and stuff like that, so was wondering what is the best way to approach this, use a free service provided by someone or something simple ? How to do this........... Thanks, Vinutha. Hello all. I am currently putting together a flash intro for a friend of mine. He operates a World of Warcraft guild website through DKPSystem.com. While DKPsystem.com does normally use a subdomain for the registered guild, you can implement your own domain through the backend. He has done this. So, here is my problem. What I want to do is create the flash intro and connect it up with a index.html file. Considering that DKPsystem.com uses a structure in which the user cannot upload files via FTP, I have no idea how to implement this flash intro. Any ideas how this would be done? The problem is that the last image HTML Code: <IMG src="images/blazon_small.jpg /> won't work until I remove the destination anchor HTML Code: <a href="index.html#sus">Inceputul</a> which doesn't work too if there is the img tag too. Please,tell me,what's the problem?These things can't work together?Please help! I am creating an FBML page in Facebook and can not figure out how to do an anchor point in the page - mostly because instructions online only tell you how to do it and show snippets of code, not the entire portion, so I can't tell where to put the two different parts of the code (a name & a href with #). Hello. I just joined the forums because I want to start making websites again. I used to do it about 3 years ago ( nothing hardcore), but i knew enough to make basic websites. Now, I want to learn the more indepth stuff. Such as Mysql, perl,css,java, javascript etc... i dont even know what someof those are. So heres my question. WHERE SHOULD I START? I want to start from scratch. Although the standard margins for bullets are fine for what I want, I find when they are to the right of an image they have a different indent. I have managed to correct this in FF by using <li style="margin-left:40px"> but the bullets are invisible with IE. Any ideas? Does anyone know if there is an HTML code, were when you click at a certain point on the screen, it is a link to another document? Hi all, Im having a problem with unordered lists. When I view it in Dreamweaver, the bullet points are small, but when I view in browser, they are huge. Ive tried adding classes to the CSS, but not sure what im doing wrong. Ive got one class that is: .bulletList { padding:0px; margin:12px; } I tried adding a different class for the actual lists: .bulletSize { font-size:12px; } But all this did was change the size of the font and not the size of the bullet point. Can anyone suggest what I could do to fix this? I know certain browers render different ... for IE FF uses alt tags and IE title tags... (I think thats right) but this issue seems weird there is a shadow around my List in IE but not in Firefox and the first line is broken to a second line in Internet explorer take a look This might not even be fixable, Thx!
