HTML - Remove Scrollbar From Iframe
Hi y'all
I have a page which contains an iframe. I want to remove the vertical scrollbar from the iframe so that when a page is opened in the iframe, the height of the page containing the iframe will be equal to the height of the page that has been opened. Can anyone help pls? Similar TutorialsK, thanks for reading this post... hopefully someone can point out the property to remove the horizontil scrollbar from the righthand frame. Here's the html for the frames: <frameset rows="*" cols="277,*" framespacing="0" frameborder="no" border="0"> <frame src="default_left.html" target="mainFrame" name="leftFrame" scrolling="No" noresize="noresize" id="leftFrame" title="leftFrame" /> <frame src="main.html" name="mainFrame" id="mainFrame" title="mainFrame" style="max-width:717" /> </frameset> <noframes> Here's an image that points out the offending scrollbar: http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/5...examplext3.jpg And finally... the scrollbar remains as long as the vertical scrollbar is necessary (enough content to require scrolling downward) but obviously I need the vertical scrollbar. Thanks very much for the help... please let me know if any further information is required. Again, much thanks! JM Hello I hate when scrollbar appears inside of iframe. How can I get rid of rollbar? I try with css: iframe { overflow: hidden; } But that doesn't work. Is there anything else I can try Maybe something else then iframe? I only know how to work with html, css & javascript. Tnx Hi guys! I want to change the scrollbar to something else in my IFRAME on my html webpage. I need it to work in FF and IE and I don't only want to change the colors etc, I want to change the complete look! I tried a few scripts but they change everything for me and I only want the old scroll to be replace with a new one. Does anyone have any suggestions? I tried this one but then it makes a lot of mess with other things in my Iframe. Maybe it's because I'm too bad on html but does anyone have any suggestions? http://www.java2s.com/Code/JavaScrip...omscollbar.htm I just need something simple and something that you doesn't need to be a engineer to get working =) Thanks in advance! Hi, I have been teaching myself web development from scratch and need a little help changing the colour of "inline scrollbars", but not the general scrollbar( i.explorer). Does anyone know of a script that can be incorporated into the command line <iframe "commands needed" </iframe> or do i have to learn more about style sheets? (css)? any help here would be greatful. I currently have: <iframe name="_leftnav" src="main.htm" border="0" frameborder="0" width="295" height="525"> </iframe> I know theres not alot here, but can you use commands such as scrollbarcolour=#FFFFFF; for example?? Thanks everyone!! Jai C check out this! they said you couldnt, but i have! visit www.jaicpromotions.co.uk and you'll see!!! then view source! Jai insert this in the <head> section in your code, but make sure that each <iframe> has a new *.htm page as its base location, then again on each of those pages, insert this script into the <head> section again!! sorted!!!! no more unsightly grey bars !!!!! Yipee !!!!!! <STYLE type="text/css"> BODY {scrollbar-3dlight-color:#F0FFFF; scrollbar-arrow-color:#FF8C00; scrollbar-base-color:#000000; scrollbar-track-color:#000000; scrollbar-darkshadow-color:#696969; scrollbar-face-color:#000000; scrollbar-highlight-color:#FF8C00; scrollbar-shadow-color:#FF8C00} </STYLE> Hi, i was made web, but have a problem. I attach foto and you can see problem. How insert a scrollbar? sorry for my english language I need an HTML scrollbar that can display HTML of a picture without showing the picture. Any help would be appreciated. I searched all over the internet and I can't come up with anything. The problem I have is in my form I have: HTML Code: <table> <tr> <td> <div style="position: relative; border-width: 1px; border-style: solid; border-color: #000000; overflow: auto; overflow-x:hidden; scrollbar-base-color: #98B0C7; scrollbar-arrow-color: #FFFFFF; width: 100%; height: 300px;">data</div> </td> </tr> </table> With this, I use the div to be at 300px height so the overflow creates a scrollbar within the form to allow a user to scroll the data without scrolling the entire page.. hence no scrollbar on the browser right side.. Well, in some cases I still do have the right side browser scrollbar because the entire form will sometimes be large. (not the div data) This is ok and what's normally suppose to happen. In those scenarios, the scrollbar is there on the right side of the browser for ie7 but in ie6, it's not there. Again, not talking about my div data content scrollbar within the form, but the right hand side of the browser scrollbar. If someone could enlighten me about exactly what is going on here I would greatly appreciate it. s-one Ok i want just a plain html not php or css code but an html code for a scrollbar. I cant find one that works. Please and thank you Im not sure if this is in the right area of this forum but heres the question I have a div scrollbar exampe: <DIV style='position: absolute; left: 30; top: 10; color: #000000; background-color: #FFFFFF; border: solid 10px; border-color: #FFFFFF; width: 690px; height: 1300px; overflow: auto; '> I have a picture blog. I keep adding pictures to it, and when i get too many , it just creates a scroll. I dont want a scroll, but I dont wanna have to keep changing the "height" everytime i put more pictures in. I am kinda lost in how to word this question... maybe somebody can help me. thank you if you do. Hi all, I need help with scrollbars: Is it possible to use an image instead of the standard scrollbar (see http://www.esaurome.com/bikini%20IT.html, the 2 fishes and the wave). Please HELP ME!!! check this page out..the vertical scrollbar http://www.progressoft.com/?option=c...&iscon&dir=ASC EDIT: i mean the vertical scrollbar of the clients area in the middle..& to see it check it in IE I have 2 IFrames on a page. I am going to end up with a long list of shows to catch-up on. Is there a way I can embed an IFrame with the list, and when you click on a show, you it will change the Playing Show http://tiny.cc/catchup <---The page I am referring to. hi, i've a very simple html page, where i have an iframe. The problem is that i want to add some text below the iframe. however, my text keeps showing up on the right hand side of the iframe. i've looked at the tutorials discussing the tags available for iframe, but surprisingly, none seem to relevant to this. Code: <html> <body> <table border="0" cellspacing="10"> <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="left"> <td valign="top"> <iframe src="mySource.jsp" height="700" width="600" frameborder="0" scrolling="auto"></iframe> </td> </table> This should be displayed below the iframe but actually gets displayed on the right </body> </html> any help / guidance in this will be much appreciated. thanks in advance! I have a vertical scrollbar in green colors and it can be viewed in IE 7 but when I look page in Firefox 3.0.15 it can not be viewed in green colors. page: http://www.astrosport07.webs.com/ Can I do something that scrollbar to appear in green colors in "all" brawsers? Well, I like to know how you can do this: http://b5.boards2go.com/boards/board...4563&user=he12 Ya know, put HTML inside a box without the HTML actually showing up so others can copy and paste it? I've run out of ideas, so please help! Can't tell you how many hours I've spent trying to do this, but it's a lot! An example page with the issue can be found here.. http://www.funkimunkibadges.co.uk/geekybadges-c-79.html I'm basically trying to change it to be a horizontal scroll instead of vertical. Top image here is what happens when I expand the data in the central box. The lower image is when is as it is now.. http://www.flickr.com/photos/creepyd/5710648997/ I'm not really sure where the problem lies, my guess is the html. The piece of CSS which creates the vertical scrollbar is here.. Code: #indexProductList.centerColumn { width: 630px ; height: 680px !important; /*CENTER SCROLLBAR HEIGHT*/ overflow:auto; padding:0px; If I change the 'auto' above to 'hidden', the scrollbar goes away, so it's definitely that controlling it. The php which creates the 5 columns is here.. If I change it to + 0.5, the last one will wrap to the next line, and not create a horizontal scrollbar. However if I change it so each column is more than 100%, I get a horizontal scrollbar?! Code: $col_width = floor(100/PRODUCT_LISTING_COLUMNS_PER_ROW) - 0.5; Thanks so much for any help. Here's the html for the central table with the normal vertical scrollbar in place.. HTML Code: <td valign="top"> <!-- bof breadcrumb --> <div id="navBreadCrumb"> <a href="http://www.funkimunkibadges.co.uk/">Home</a> :: Careers & Hobbies </div> <!-- eof breadcrumb --> <!-- bof upload Hi, I'm trying to create an invisible scrollbar for a text box with only the up & down arrow showing. How do I make the bar in the Iframe invisible but still be able to scroll up/down on the text. The following is the code that I have. What am I doing wrong? Thanks <body> <p> <iframe name="I1" src="1.htm" border="0" frameborder="0"> </iframe></p> </body> Thanks for you Hey everyone, I was wondering how I can get rid of a scrollbar that only shows up in IE, when I embedded another webpage inside a webpage. I specified size and the other webpage is only a few lines of text so it doesn't need to scroll to see everything. I don't have this problem in FF. HTML Code: <object data=siteupdates.html width="100%" height="212"> </object> Thanks |
