HTML - Problems Using Pagebreeze Html Editor - Warning, I'm A Newbie.
Okay so I know nothing about html, just want to be upfront about that. However, I got saddled with the duty of making a page for my LOTRO kinship. I downloaded PageBreeze html editor, since it has visual mode, and downloaded a template for my site. I got to work customizing the site, adding pictures, text, etc. Everything looked great (all in visual edit). I then clicked the "Preview (Internet Explorer)" tab.. and it doesn't look the same. There's some huge white box behind everything that I can't get rid of because I can't seem to locate it on the editing tab. And then I also noticed that there is like a foot of empty space on the right-hand side of the page that I can't seem to get rid of either. If anyone could help me out with this, I would really appreciate it. If needed I can attach screenshots of what the page looks like in the visual editor, and what it looks like on the preview tab, as well as the code.

Now this was all written in notepad so I need specific assitance in the html code. My dillema is 2 things: Why does my page have these horrible gaps between the images even though I THINK I entered it all right? Is there a more efficient way to write the code then what I am currently doing and how compatible is it on cross-browser (This is mostly experimental so I dont mind hacking it up and starting again). Thanks in advance for your time and help! I am using my header image on my landing page for links. I edited a image in PS with areas of text. Then went to insert - graphics and seleted the section that had the text in it and chose the internal page i wanted to link too and clicked ok. but everytime I save and close out of those windows..it locks up. and doesnt work...I have a friend say that you cant have multiples links on one image. Am I understanding this "graphic" button wrong? Hi all, I can code html by hand but I am looking some tools or editor which can help me code html faster than hand typing. Any thoughts? I heard dreamweaver is a great tool for coding html. Please feel free to give me any advice. Thanks in advance. Opeth I have been using Notepad ++ for a while now. Just wondering, maybe their is a better editor? It needs to be able to work with CSS/JS/PHP. Someone recommended to me Bluefish Editor... Include syntax checking, ... Can anyone point me in the direction of a good but easy to use HTML Editor? I want to be able to have complete control over the HTML, something which my current Host Sitebuilder does not allow. Hello, newbie here. I have worked, hacked, html files, so I'm familiar with the basics and guts of the files. I know there is software that will allow you to create/build html files. I assume these are called editors or html front end...... whatever. So, 1) what is this software called 2) what do you recommend for basic web pages nothing fancy. Thanks Hi all, I wanted to learn HTML before 1 year, but I gave up, it was too much too read But now I wanna start again, and I'm searching for the tool I used. But I can't find it, it was so easy, and I was able to use it, and believe me, there's not much I CAN use It was a simple editor tool, and I think it was from Mozilla. That's what it did: I wrote something in HTML, and when I pressed preview he showed me what will display when I add the code on a website. And I was able to save my codes as a file format, but I don't know which, I think something standard... And now I want that tool again, but I searched for 2 hours now and I can't find it... Does ANYONE know the name? I would be very pleased about a helpful answer... Or does anyone know a tool which does, what I described? I just downloaded a free version of Page Breeze which I am sure most of you have heard of and was wonering if it is any good from a "professional" stand point. Being a "newbie" or "rookie' myself and have only played around a little bit on it, it seems very user freindly. Is there anything out there in a "free" version that is better or is there a fairly inexpensive HTML editor out there that is GREAT? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. USD $1000 I'm not looking for a WYSIWYG Hey guys, I tend to get really annoying lately tabbing between my ftp, browser(s) and editor, is there some sort of real time HTML editor that shows me my changes as i make them? Think firebug plugin on firefox..allows you to edit any pages code and updates it as you type the code. Note; I'm not looking for a Frontpage type editor, i can write code, just annoying tabbing all the time. Hi all Until recently I have used plain text editors to code, but lately I have found that IDEs can be a welcome aid. I don't really need anything super fancy like a full-scale IDE, just syntax highlighting and something that keeps track of indentation so that when I move to a new line I don't need to tab out to the correct indentation. I have used notepad++ on Windows and I really like it, but most of my coding is done in a Linux environment and AFAIK there is no Linux version. Something similar to notepad++ would be awesome. I am looking into an editor called SciTE that is apparently the basis of notepad++ so hopefully that will be the answer. If such a thing exists then perhaps an editor that will help me keep track of the various attributes that each element can have (my experience with HTML/XHTML etc. is limited and I hate having to keep looking up the attributes at my disposable), it would be far easier to have access to some sort of HTML/XHTML/CSS API, or to be able to create one like you can in notepad++, it doesn't necessarily need to be part of the editor so any suggestions on sites that offer this sort of thing would also be much appreciated. I m wondering which hmtl editors everyone here prefers. I have downloaded HTML-Kit & Page Breeze but I am not the sharpest tool & I end up getting frustrated as I need a more user friendly editor. Something for the ADHD adult I really won't be using advanced things like media for now, only basic HTML & CSS. What I am trying to accomplish is to get a website done without media or movable images. Also, someone told me that there are some editors which come with ready made commands, for e.g maybe such as creating a table by just clicking anywhere. Can anyone recommend a freeware editor for Xhtml & a conversion tool for Html to Xhtml? I used Coffee cut as HTML editor but there is no error checking.
