HTML - Another Formatting Problem Between Firefox & Ie
Hi,
I've been struggling with a formatting difference between IE & Firefox. I'd be really grateful if someone would be able to advise me what I'm doing wrong. URL : http://www.demoncraft.com/helpdesk/ticket.html Any help would be appreciated JON Similar TutorialsHi, I have developed a website and used Internet Explorer to view it when making it. However, when I load the pages in firefox it is not formatted the same - why is this? Doesn't firefox recognise certain html and css tags? How can I fix this if I want the website to be viewed the same in Firefox? Hi, I'm just learning html and I'm creating my website in Frontpage 2003. I looked in IE6 and my individual pages are exactly how I want them to look. However, viewing the same pages in Firefox presents me with a problem I'm not sure how to correct. It has to do with the center table. I originally copied and pasted the contents from Excel into the table (which I think was a mistake now). My workaround to this was copying and pasting the contents in the table into Notepad; and also shortening the length of each line; and then re-pasting the contents back into the table. It looks o.k. in Firefox but the alignment is no longer "justified". Can someone please tell me what I should be doing in the html code here? To see what I mean please open the link below in both IE and Firefox. http://www.prosperityteachers.com/ne...ew_thought.htm Much appreciated! Hi I wonder can anyone help with this problem I'm having. I have created a two column table with images in the left column and bulleted text in the right column. I have six images one after the other down the page. This displayed perfectly in firefox but when I checked Internet Explorer, The text is greatly indented from the table cell margin and looks all wrong. Can I format this somehow to display properly in IE. Just like everyone else is seeming to have lately, I am apparently one of those lucky people anyways i am having a problem positioning my whole page between browsers. It works just how i want it in firefox (centered kind of), but in ie6, and ie7 its all scrunched to the left. anyways the link to my site is: http://uberwalla.110mb.com It would be greatly appreciated for some help also help on any other browser there might be problems with would be great. If anyone has safari, netscape and opera i mean. to help me format my template. well thanks a bunch! - uberwalla I'm trying to center the drop menu x horizontal code from the following url: http://www.gosu.pl/MyGosuMenu/ The problem is every time I center it all browsers except Internet Explorer mess up when you try to resize the window. For example in Firefox if you center the drop down menu and hover your mouse over the drop down menu it will line up but then if resize the Firefox window and hover your mouse over the drop down menu again the drop down options will not line up. For centering I've tried centering with CSS and using the <center> tag and both ways cause this same problem. Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks, Jeff Is there a way to have my 'website' display the website description directly to the right of the navigational buttons?? Right now my website is displaying the website description directly under the navigational buttons to the right and I want it to display the website description on the same line as the navigational button.... Here is my code: Code: <HTML> <head> <body style="background-color:black"> <title>Zahn Logics</title> <h1 style="text-align:center; color:#ffffff"><u>Zahn Logics</u></h1> <table border="1" width="15%" cellpadding="0"> <td bgcolor="#ffffff" style="text-align:center"> <a href="http://www.zahnlogics.com/philosphy" style="color:red;font-size:20px"> Philosophical Ideas</a> <br /> </td> </table> <table border=1" width="15%" cellpadding="0"> <td bgcolor="#ffffff" style="text-align:center"> <a href="http://www.zahnlogics.com/movie_reviews" style="color:red;font-size:20px"> Movie Reviews</a> <br /> </td> </table> <table border="1" width="15%" cellpadding="0"> <td bgcolor="#ffffff" style="text-align:center"> <a href="http://www.zahnlogics.com/music_reviews" style="color:red;font-size:20px"> Music Reviews</a> <br /> </td> </table> <table border="1" width="15%" cellpadding="0"> <td bgcolor="#ffffff" style="text-align:center"> <a href="http://www.zahnlogics.com/quotes" style="color:red;font-size:20px"> Quotes</a> <br /> </td> </table> <center><table border="1" width="30%" cellpadding="5"> <td bgcolor="#ffffff" style="text-align:center"> <p style="align:center">This website will include philophical idea's, music reviews, movies reviews, funny sotries, and much more! Thanks Hi, <input name="Submit2" value="1" type="image" id="Submit2" src="images/Freshupdaterecordbutton.jpg" alt="Update" width="160" height="50" border="0"> The above image is a button within a form. If I click on the button, I can check the parameters passed via the form. The following tells me how long the "Submit2" parameter is using ASP strRequest = Request.Form("Submit2") strRequest = len(strRequest) response.Write(strRequest) Response.end() In Firefox 2, the length of "Submit2" is 1 In IE 7, "Submit2" is 0 I need them both to be 1. How can I do this? Is it something to do with the NAME and ID tags? The NAME and ID tags are unique on the form. Cheers, Alski Hello all, I'd like to say this is my first post here on this forum and I am in need of some help... Another for image links for main areas of the website Another for statistics... In firefox it does what I want: In IE, I get this interesting error... Hello, In Internet Explorer, the following page shows just fine: www.myspace.com/milqud However, in Firefox, there's small gaps between the images and Flash files. I'd like to remove these gaps. How do I go about doing this? Here's the html code I'm using: HTML Code: <img src="http://www.milqud.com/myspace/topleft.jpg" width="390" height="520" border="0"> <object enableJSURL="false" enableHREF="false" saveEmbedTags="true" allowScriptAccess="never" allownetworking="internal" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowScriptAccess="never" allownetworking="internal" height="520" width="410" data="http://www.milqud.com/myspace/topheader.swf"> <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="never" /> <param name="allowNetworking" value="internal" /> <param name="movie" value="http://www.milqud.com/myspace/topheader.swf" /> </object> <br> <img src="http://www.milqud.com/myspace/mainbg.jpg" border=0> Similar problem to fender967, my website: http://www.freewebs.com/microbitztest/ looks fine in IE but not in firefox??? Whats that all about? I'm working with frames www.culturelounge.com and the title is correct in my html code on all pages of the site. When I load the url in internet explorer, the title shows up fine. When I load the url into Mozilla Firefox, the title shows up as "untitled document" Does anyone know what might be going on here? I'm designing some UI modules that are quite small, and have to be. Each represents an NFL football player and inside the module is the ability to add a note to a player. The problem is, the hyperlinks in my UI modules become almost unclickable in Firefox and I'm not sure why. My guess is they are too close to the edge of the container, but it'd be nice if I could find a workaround. Unfortunately space is at a premium You can see the phenomena here. Try clicking on the 'create note' hyperlink on the first player, the 'save note' hyperlink on the second player, and the 'edit note' on the third player. Any advice would be appreciated. Hi, I'm having an issue with Firefox 3 that is stumping me. My site has a SWF centered in the middle of my page which is embedded with swfobject v2.1. When the page loads my SWF overlaps the right-sided border of the div I've setup in Firefox, and from what I can tell, Firefox sets the border property on the inside of the div, whereas all the other browsers set the border property on the outside of the div. I've read up on the box model problem, but seeing as how every other browser(IE, Opera, Safari, Chrome etc.) displays the page properly, I'm hitting the wall here. I don't know if swfojbect is causing the problem, or if it's something in my code, because up until I embedded the flash, I'm pretty sure everything was aligned. Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated... http://www.lakeviewchurch.com/new |
