HTML - Page Doesn't Show Up In Explorer!
Similar TutorialsHi, can anyone help me with this? My site shows in firefox but when it is viewed using internet explorer, parts are missing and everything is everywhere. I really hope someone can teach me how to correct it. Site is www.agraphix.com.sg Thanks! ps: i know my html is a mess, i'm not really good at it. =/ Robbie. Good day, I have a test page for a website I'm currently working on, there's a video player on it that shows itself on internet explore but doesn't actually play the videos and on Safari or Firefox it doesn't even show itself. The webpage is located at: http://viloda.com/videoindex_portfolio_rtvnh.html and I think there's something wrong with the HTML. There's probably something wrong or/and missing but I really can't find what. The Video Player works perfectly fine locally, so the player made in Flash can't be the problem, I think it has to be code. So I was wondering if perhaps one of you could help, thanks for reading this over. Hi, i am restarting a site. I have the old HTML in text docs that I saved. I am using Cpanel. The home (index.html) page worked fine. But, from there I am trying to add another page (about_us). So what I am doing is creating a new file, and naming it about_us.html. Then I edit the file and paste in the code. But when trying to view the page as site.com/about_us it doesnt show up. But if I type site.com/about_us.html it does show up. The new file is displayed right above the index page in the file manager and all... I don't want our visitors to have to type ".html" at the end, they won't be likely to remember to anyway. I have no idea why it's doing this because I don't remember doing it before. The navigation bar I used previously used to work but now the links in it don't work because they dont have ".html" at the end of the link. (ex.<a href="http://www.site.com/about_us">About us</a>). I have a wordpress blog in which on the single post page the container div is non-existent and the sidebar and footer go into the content div. The page displays fine in firefox it only has the problem in internet explorer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hello, I am very new to HTML and websites - by very new I mean I just learned two days ago that websites are made using HTML. so anyways I made a website by html code and then used an FTP client to put it on the internet. The page shows up great using just the file on my computer, but after puting the page on the FTP client for the internet the background picture will not show up. this is how I coded it: background="whatpic.gif" src="whatpic.gif" style="background-attachment:fixed" I put the picture in the same folder as the html page on both my computer and the FTP client. Any help would be great. The background picture is a very simple thing I made using paint and saved as a GIF file. thanks -Laura Hello, I am using some Jquery code + CSS to display fade in and out text above each image. Need help determining why the below code will load on firefox but not internet explorer. fixed Hi, I have a problem with my website. I have been using Firefox as testbrowser when I developed my site, and when IE users open the site it is shown differently. Have a look at these screenshots: http://www.senate.dk/debug/clean_firefox.jpg http://www.senate.dk/debug/clean_internet_exploder.jpg The problem speaks for itself and you can see in the filename which browser was used. Don't mind the white bars, I have just drawn them to hide some information. I use basic html image maps to create the links for the menu, and the problem occurs after these are added. As the website is written in php, the HTML code is generated by the server. These files contains the generated code: http://www.senate.dk/debug/clean_firefox.txt http://www.senate.dk/debug/clean_internet_exploder.txt If you compare the two files, you will find that they are equal, so why does IE not show it correctly when Firefox does? Obviously there must be a bug in my HTML code, but where? Can anyone help? If I know where it is in the HTML file I can correct it in my PHP file. Hi, Is there any possible to show a HTML or ASP page inside the table. I have tried with frames but i dont know how to execute exacltly. Thanks I've got a page that, on starting, checks its URL for a hash extension and behaves accordingly. So the hash, or lack thereof, is important. I want this page to contain some hyperlinks to itself, with various hash extensions. It doesn't work! If the URL is just to the page (eg. mypage.html) it reloads fine. But if the URL is, for example mypage.html#&e=extrastuff, the page doesn't reload at all. Is there a solution to this? Can someone please please view my sit at resconsultingnyc.com, i used microsoft expression web 3 to make everything aligned. When the page is maximized on my computer it is all nice and neat but if the screen is not maximized everything falls out of frame. when I tried it on another computer even their maximized page had things out of frame. How can I make all the tables and content stay nice and neat and keep in tact when the page size changes? All the pages have the same problem...thanks here's the code... <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1251" /> <title>Template</title> <meta name="description" content="" /> <meta name="keywords" content="h" /> <link href="styles/main.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> </head> <body> <div id="all" style="height: 772px"> <div class="top"> <OBJECT classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,0,0" WIDTH="766" HEIGHT="233" id="construction" ALIGN=""> <PARAM NAME=movie VALUE="construction.swf"> <PARAM NAME=quality VALUE=high> <PARAM NAME=bgcolor VALUE=#FFFFFF> <EMBED src="construction.swf" quality=high bgcolor=#FFFFFF WIDTH="766" HEIGHT="233" NAME="construction" ALIGN="" TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash" PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></EMBED> </OBJECT> </div> <div style="margin:0 0 5px 0 "> <OBJECT classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,0,0" WIDTH="766" HEIGHT="60" id="menu" ALIGN="" style="z-index: 1; position: absolute; top: 246px; left: 444px"> <PARAM NAME=movie VALUE="menu.swf"> <PARAM NAME=quality VALUE=high> <PARAM NAME=bgcolor VALUE=#FFFFFF> <EMBED src="menu.swf" quality=high bgcolor=#FFFFFF WIDTH="766" HEIGHT="60" NAME="menu" ALIGN="" TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash" PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></EMBED> </OBJECT></div> <table width="740" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" id="cont" style="z-index: 2; width: 740px; height: 370px; position: absolute; top: 310px; left: 456px"> <tr> <td valign="top" width="295"> <div id="left_block" style="width:289px; height:234px; margin:0 0 7px 0 "> <img src="images/tit1.gif" alt="" style="margin:25px 0 15px 29px " /><br /> <p style="margin:0 0 3px 43px; width:162px "> </p> <p style="margin:0 0 3px 43px; width:162px; height: 57px;"> </p> <p style="margin:0 0 5px 43px; width:162px "> </p> </div> <div id="left_block2"> <img src="images/question.gif" alt="" style="margin:28px 0 8px 26px " /><br /> <table width="75" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" style="margin:0 0 4px 36px "> <tr> <td width="36"><img src="images/mail.gif" alt="" /></td> <td>E-mail:</td> </tr> </table> <p style="margin:0 0 0 36px "> resconsultingnyc@gmail.com</p> </div> </td> <td valign="top"> <div id="right_block" style="width:445px; height:201px; background:#F1F1F1 url(images/bgs1.gif) no-repeat 100% 100% "> <img src="images/tit2.gif" alt="" style="margin:25px 0 13px 36px " /><br /> <p style="width:335px; margin:0 0 4px 50px ">Welcome to RES Consulting NYC inc.</p> <p style="width:335px; margin:0 0 15px 50px ">Your company for all of your residential and commercial construction consulting services.</p> </div> <img src="images/tit3.gif" alt="" style="margin:28px 0 23px 31px " /><br /> <table width="388" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" style="margin:0 0 0 33px "> <tr> <td valign="top" width="103"><img src="images/pic1.jpg" alt="" /></td> <td valign="top"> <p>Personal dedication to each and every client</p> <p style="margin:10px 0 0 0 "> </p> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> <div id="footer" style="z-index: 1; position: absolute; top: 693px; left: 473px; bottom: 85px; width: 733px"> <table width="620" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" style="margin:14px 0 0 56px "> <tr> <td width="286" valign="top" style="color:#7D7D7D; "> Copyright © 2009 resconsultingnyc.com <br /> All rights reserved. </td> <td valign="top"> <a href="index.html" class="f_link">Home</a> <a href="index-1.html" class="f_link">Company</a> <a href="index.html" class="f_link">News</a> <a href="index-2.html" class="f_link">Projects</a> <a href="index-3.html" class="f_link">Services</a> <a href="index-4.html" class="f_link">Solutions</a> <a href="index-5.html" class="f_link">Contacts</a> </td> </tr> </table> </div> </div> </body> </html> |
