HTML - Text Box Input To Redirect To Website.. Sorry Hard To Explain!

just wondering what code i would require to make a text box with a search button next to it and having the following characteristics... * input can be any letter/number (say for eg: 5555) * onclick sends parent window to www.website.com/5555 thus whatever you enter into the box sends you to a website address with the text box entry at the end. this is for an internal webpage at our small business. cheers and any tips appreciated!! Thanks. Hi, Sorry if this is not the right place to put it. My friend asked me to look into his friend small website as he is not searchable via google. I had a look at his website and seen that he has been using a "VistaPrint SiteBuilder v20.5" to build his website. His website looked like it was redirecting from a different website address. Inside his code he had the normal links with index.html and products.html etc without the full address but i could see on the bottom of the browser that the address has a subdomain and different address (like URL address bingo.website) once i roll over the links. So i persume he is redirecting the whole website from that address. Also, once i click on the other links his address stays the same as his main index address. e.g (URL address mydomain) (once i click on products it stays the same without the products.html added onto the end). Never seen this before. Is that what that sitebuilder does? Is this a problem for google.....would they blacklist it for that reason. However, when i did the sitemap am i allowed to add the index page as the website address he wants searchable and the other links as subdomain and different address e.g (URL address bingo.website) or i'll just have to use index page alone? Hi everyone, I hope I have posted this in the right area. This is my first time posting here. I currently have my main pages listed at the top of my site as graphics (see fussybaby.ca). I would like to potentially remove these graphics and use text links instead - I had the graphics designed for me, so I can't just go in and make new ones, however I'd like to change/rearrange the links and add some new ones. If the user completely erases the text he wrote and puts the input field off focus the default text (stated in 1.) re-appears. 4. I know i can't use onLoad directly in the input tag and, searching on the web, i found that i have to use onLoad on the body element - something like this: <body OnLoad="document.myform.mytextfield.focus();"> The problem is i have multiple text inputs sharing the same name (they are cells in a table) so i can't use the input's name. I am currently struggling to find a simple sollution to the following issue. I want to render out a text input box in HTML that will have a block (with borders) for every character. I can think of really tedious solutions that will involve a table with an input tag per cell but this will be nasty if something else is available. The solution is only for IE and cannot involve any ActiveX components due to security issues. The thing is that when a user select an option from the "select opcion" tag, according to the option selected I want to print some input text in the form .. how can i do that?. Thks a lot! I want that it worked like this : user types a text, and when it reaches the end of a line, cursor jumpt to the beneath row. Now, user is writing everything in one row, and when it reaches the end - scrollbar apear on the bottom. I would like that scrollbar would apear then, when user reaches the bottom of the input area. Moreover - i would like that user could press the ENTER button, to jump to next row. Now, when he does this - submit button is activated, and a written text is sent to the database. Slice it up save as HTML and then edit in Dreamweaver. In the first Table I'd like to be able to put text in there and have it scroll. How do I do this? I've already tried putting a div style="overflow:auto; tag around the first table but that definitely didn't work. Any suggestions? Bare in mind I know NO CSS and only the basics of HTML. I've created a graphic for use as a background image, which contains a text box in the middle of the page. I've sliced the image and adjusted the html to include a rowspan, which can be seen at this url: http://www.magicalwonders.com/graphics/test.html Borders have been left on so that the layout is easier to see. I was expecting the two cells either side of the cell that I've rowspanned to stretch as extra text goes in the box - however, this doesn't seem to work and the design gets completely broken, as in this url: http://www.magicalwonders.com/graphics/test2.html I don't won't to be restricted in the amount of text I can include, so can anyone point me in the right direction and advise on the correct way to get this to work?
