HTML - Any Free Sites Or Scripts That Check For Code Errors?
Are there any sites you can run your site or pages through and it will let you know if there are any html errors?
Like <p> but forget the </p>, etc? Similar TutorialsHi, I'm new to this forum and would like to apologize in advance for the "general" nature of this question. I am a new moderator for another Forum type website. The website has for years had no image upload feature and had users place in their posts external links to free photo hosting sites. Recently, the website added a feature to upload images directly onto their server, allowing them to be locally archived rather than remotely linked to the other photo hosting website. Now, 99.9 % of the Forum users have never purchased prints from the photo hosting site, including myself. Though the host site has never sent me any notification on my account, the older picture links on my posts have ceased to work, displaying only red X's instead. This is now beginning to happen all over the Forums, creating a slow errosion of images from the older posts. It would be ideal to create some type of program or utility to "saveas", then convert all of the older images to the new local hosting, thus eliminating the problem. This would solve the problem for the newer eternally linked images - unfortunately the older ones are probably lost. Does anyone have any ideas or sugestions on this? The output (when viewed in a browser) is just what I need but I think the coding behind it may have become a bit messey. Ive tried to tidy the coding up a bit but im not very good with html tables and everything falls apart. Thanks Does anyone know where I can find some free code for a formatted/enhanced text field (very similar to the one I am typing this into, with the bold/italics/underline options, etc). I have a website where I upload a lot of articles that usually come in Word format, and instead of converting that to html (usually by hand because Word does not convert to xhtml transitional) I would much rather just use an enhanced text field and copy and paste it, then in the background I would have the code that would insert the articles to my database and create the pages and links for them. I just need code for the enhanced form. Everything I have found so far is entire bulletin board systems, which I do not need. Thanks Anyone know of a good one? Many of them look like this: Line 9, Column 31: there is no attribute "leftmargin". <body topmargin="0" leftmargin="0" marginwidth="0" rightmargin ="0" marginheight and this: Line 15, Column 43: required attribute "alt" not specified. <div id="logo"><img src="images\logo.gif" /></div> How do I fix this? But if I use <input type="submit" value="proceed"/> , explicitly and press this button, the the function is getting called. so please help me . I just need someone to point me in the right direction) Cheers, Peter Ok so I have these affiliate links and what I would like to do is create a page have my banner/logo located at the top of the page and then have the affiliate link open at the bottom of the page I'm trying to figure out how I would go about coding some features in sites like www.maxadds.com The biggest problem I'm having is trying to figure out the login. There's a login box where you enter your myspace friend ID. When you type it in, your myspace display picture is automatically added into a part of the website, usually the 'free train'. The picture also links to your myspace page so others can add you. I'm not sure how to go about doing any of this, so if anyone could help I'd greatly appreciate it. I know, it's a long story. Is there a better or even best way to set this up? Right now, I've simply copied the landing page and uploaded it to both sites where it splits into an "Enter Here" for one site, and an "Enter Here" for the other site. When done, the plan is to NOT point both domains to the same index page but keep them totally separate. I just would like to know if this is the right way to go about it and if not, what would be the best way? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. |
