I am new to this forum. I would like to learn HTML in depth. Could anyone forward some material or any url's where I can find information about the basic HTML and advanced HTML concepts. Can anyone recommend a good tutorial site for learning HTML? I'm just starting out. Free is good, but I know you get what you pay for, so if the tutorials are good, I wouldn't mind paying for something of good quality. I don't want to get in over my head too soon and get discouraged. I'd really like to find some video tutorials. Thanks. I am very new in html and css and now try to learn this one now. As an aged person and as I am in a service so my lots of time is engaged in my office and I want to learn it through video tutorials. Can any one give me some good linked video tutorials to know how to slice one psd , and code them with valid css and use div tags. Any help will be highly appreciated. Regards trnghosh Hello, I downloaded a couple of templates a week ago, thinking I could use them to base my site (which is just going to be a simple, personal site) off of them. However, I seem to hit a complete blank in knowing what any of it means! I've done some html sites before, albeit about 6 years ago and I don't remember much of what I did then. So when I looked at these templates and tried to work with them I was just perplexed just how to go about changing it to do what I want.. I was wondering if anyone would know of any tutorials, very good ones that go into detail about the code the templates use. The code for one of the templates is below, the other uses the same style. One thing I am quite frustrated with is that every link simply links to the whole main page and brings it all up again, so in effect I would have to have several copies of the main page. I would like so that all links simply bring the information up in the lower left part of the page (below the "Maecenas" link). I have used iframes for that in the past, however I can't remember how, or how with this style of code. I've also been told that ALL frames should be totally avoided, including iFrames! (I thought it was just the normal frames..). So if anyone would be able to help me out with this, it would be very much appreciated. But now I noticed that when my pages pull up in the search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN. They still show the old .HTML links?? When they click on the webpages from the search engines results you get error 404 page cannot be found. Hi everyone, I've been searching around the web trying to find out how I can send using Outlook a html and text email newsletter automatically. I am quite happy creating html only newsletters, and text ones for that matter, but I have been digging and believe that by using multi-part code I can send to both and the recipients email client "allows" whichever version to be displayed - does this sound right? I'm hoping to simply create the html with the relevent mime references and boundaries (dont know what they are but have seen them on enough Google'd pages to know that they mean something!) and then copy and paste into Outlook - the newsletter is only going out to a few people at a time. Any suggestions or advice would be very greatly appreciated. I know I can simply create a new HTML document and then just copy and paste the links but is there a utility that can do this ? Many thanks Hi, so I'm trying to make this e-mail newsletter. It's entirely images, tables and text. So no javascript, just plain stuff. I tried attaching it as a signiture file and I had trouble sending it. It also didn't come out right. I'm trying to avoid using a software. Its basically just a block of HTML I need to show up as the only content in an email. If you just put HTML into a email text field, it just shows the HTML code in the email as text. Any ideas? I am still new to the web page world, but the website I originally created (in japanese) was passed on to a programmer. He did a lot of "upgrades" to the site so he says, but he left. Now I am in charge again of re-modeling the site. The problem is I am trying to figure out why there are so many dead links. I have looked up and down the server, but can't find anything. Wow ever I need to change the information in one table every few days. The information is live I think it's called. I write HTML lessons and I want to put just the pure code in my posts, but they appear as a regular html document... How do I make the code to be shown just as text (code), like we do in the forum boards (code tags or whatever)? I have read a lot of the posts on this subject, but have not found an answer to my problem. I am rebuilding my site and renaming/moving some pages; most will stay with the same name/location. My site is hosted on a windows server (godaddy,) and I do not have access to IIS manager and the windows server does not do php. First of all, my url is http://king-of-diamonds.tumblr.com/ I have edited the html of my page a lot but there is one problem that I can't fix: If you have a look at my blog, you will notice that between the posts there is a little white line/space that I have tried my best to get rid of.
