HTML - Bug In Ie ? Weird Horizontal Lines In Table
Hi,
i got a big problem; If you run this code in Firefox everything is ok - there is one yellow text input; But in Internet Explorer there are two red horizontal 1 pixel lines under and above text input; I have been pulling my hair since 2 days and still i dont know how to get rid of those lines?; Is this IE bug ? Ok, I am creating a calculator with html and javascript. I am using a table to format the buttons and text displays. The code is posted below with the table itself. It is supposed to be 3 cells height and 1 cell width but it turns out as 2 cells width and 2 cells height. I've created a table using xhtml similar to the following: <table> <caption></catpion> <thead></thead> <tbody></tbody> <tfoot></tfoot> </table> For some reason, when I set the caption height > 30px the caption section starts repeating itself but not with the caption text. It seems like xhtml would provide more flexibility than this.... I'm not sure how MySpace is viewed on this forum, but I figured that posting here would be my best bet for help. I'm using HTML to place a table composed of several GIFs over my normal page. It changes the look completely, while still maintaining the functions I wish to keep. I normally use FireFox and the table I made works perfectly fine with it. The issue is most of my friends use Internet Explorer, and I realized the table has weird gaps when viewed in IE. It used to have vertical gaps too, but I turned the table code into one long line and that was fixed. I've set up a test site for a project where I have a scrollable table within an iFrame. Techincally, its an iFrame within an iFrame which gets you to a scrollable table I also added an auto-scroll with anchor-links. Everything finally works, but I really want to remove the horizontal-scroll bar that shows up, while keeping the vertical-scroll bar. Because sometimes I will count down the lines and that line will be blank. For example: What is line 5 in this code? I work with Frontpage, and when I paste my HTML code in ebay page the space betweens the lines becomes 2 lines instead of 1 line. I am working on a website for a friend who created it using Word and then found that this doesn't work in FF (the files were .mht). I only know basic HTML, and no CSS. I can do most of what I need to but am having two problems. Firstly, some of the positioning is out in FF, but if I change it so it's ok in FF it's then out in IE.
