HTML - Input Data Into Tables?
Hi, I'm not sure if this can be done, what I'm trying to do is:
I have 3 input boxes (Name, date, comments) when a user types in and hits submit button I want the data to be stored in the HTML Table on the same page Name Comment Date How would I go about doing this? Similar TutorialsSo I've got a form with some input text. In addition to the data in the input text I want to send some other data that has already been predetermined on initial page load. How would I declare the other data within the form element? Thanks Does anyone know of a utility (Mac) or AppleScript (or Perl - or anything!) that will allow me to extract/convert just the data (that is, the content between TDs, what's in the cells) in an HTML table - and ideally export it into CSV, TSV, rtf or plain text etc? Thanks! This should be so simple task but no. How can I pass input field value to the function? What I read from the input field, as soon as I press the "Save results" the value of the input field should be passed within the function. All I can do is puit 'stuffhere' and it works but simply can not manage to retriveve the input data! <form name="inputData"> <input type="text" name="userName" size="32"/><br /> <a href="#" OnClick="SetText('resultHandler','Username',' stuffhere ');SendMessageToTheObject('resultHandler','saveResult');return true;"><font color="red">[Save result]</font></a> </form> Hi all, I have a simple newsletter form, so just the email field and a submit, what I would like to do is to send this data to a larger subscriber form, so one that has name, email (with the data previously entered already added), list to subscribe to etc. Can this be done? Thanks Hi Normally, when you have more than one table in your code, the tables will be placed one under each other. Example: <table> ... </table> <table> ... </table> When you want the tables to be placed next to each other, you need to set the align attribute. Example: <table align="left"> ... </table> <table align="left"> ... </table> BUT: When you do it like in the 2nd example (tables next to each other), in Firefox, the tables will wrap to a new line if there is no more space. In Internet Explorer, the tables will not wrap. The result is a horizontal scrollbar or "hidden tables". Why this? How can I make the tables wrap also in Internet Explorer as it does in Firefox? Is it possible with a special CSS definition or with a special DIV/SPAN tag? Thanks for your help praiser Hey everyone, I'm new to these boards. Somewhat a newbie at web design, but I know basics. I'm looking to put 2 tables adjacent to each other inside another table. My problem is I can't get the tables to line up the way I want them to. I'll post a picture of how I want it to look, how it looks now and my code. How I want it to look: How it looks now: I want the tables to line up at the top and re-size according to each other so they're always aligned at the top. Code: coming in next 2 posts Hi What is wrong with this, it can't post text only post checkbox <html> <head> </head> <body> <FORM action="http://localhost:8182/items" method="post"> <P> <LABEL for="firstname">First name: </LABEL> <input type="text" value = "Hamada" id="firstname"><BR> <LABEL for="lastname">Last name: </LABEL> <input type="text" value = "I hate my life" id="lastname"><BR> <LABEL for="email">email: </LABEL> <input type="text" id="email" value = "I hate you"><BR> <INPUT type="radio" name="sex" value="Male"> Male<BR> <INPUT type="radio" name="sex" value="Female"> Female<BR> <input type="submit" value="Submit"> <INPUT type="reset"> </P> </FORM> </body> </html> Thanks Ok so here is my issue, i am new to web site design and i have a simple project i would like to work on. I am looking to have an entry box with a simple submit button, then i would like the submissions to be displayed below in the order they are submitted. I would also like to limit the number of submissions that show on the page at a given time by creating multiple pages that can be viewed. This seems like a very simple issue but im having trouble finding solutions on the web. Would inserting a java app or some other secondary tool be better? I would like to know how do I display 2 labels and both inputs in the same row as shown in the attachment like state followed by input field followed by label for zip and followed by input within the same row of table in a form. Thanks in advance yls Hi there, Im relatively new to the HTML programming world, and can't for the life of me get this layout to work. Would someone mind making this table for me, and posting the code? I've made others, but for some reason cannot get my head round the rowspan feature... If anyone wouldn't mind making it, this is the layout I'm aiming for Edit: I apologise that image is so large. I have a table I created and I want to have a page that allows you to fill in text boxes to answer questions and then when submitted it will put the answers in the correct cell of the table. I have no idea how to do this and am limited in my html skill. If some one could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it greatly. http://www.roleplayingmaps.net/sheet.htm This is the table I have already created. Thanks for taking the time to read. Hey guys, Im trying to to add images to the left and right of an area on my site at: www.darkregions.com I attached a picture to this post with red circles of where I want the images to be. The problem is, I havn't done any HTML in a long time and I tried fooling around with the code to try to get the images in those locations but couldn't do it. Could someone please view the source of the main page and tell me what I need to add/change to get images in those two locations? Thanks a bunch to anyone who helps! Is there a way to put together tables so they look like this: When i make a table, it will goto the next line, for example if i want an image on the left of my table, the image will go first, and thenthe table will automatically be displayed on the next line. Is there any way i can fix this is CSS, HTML, Javascript, anything? If you need more info on my problem i could take a print screenn... Cheers! Here's an example - I want the images to be at either side of the table, so theres no space... Hi everybody, I am kind of a newbie and i have a "big" problem which i can't solve. I created some menu tables on the left side of my site, but I cannot seem to align them to the top of the table and they keep moving to the middle. On one version of this site i "pushed" them upwards with another 100% height invisible table from the bottom but it doesnt seem to work on an other version. Please help me! How could I align the tables to the top inside of another table? Thanks a lot for your help! If I was hardly understandable I'm sorry, I created a little example table: <table height=400 width=600 border=3 bordercolor=#000000><tr> <td width=20% border=3 bordercolor=#000000><table> <td border=3 bordercolor=#000000 align=center><table><tr><td><table border=1 bordercolor=#000000><tr><td><table align=center><tr><td> Menu 1</td></tr></table></td></tr><tr><td><table><tr><td></td><td> <a href="">Button 1</a></td></tr></table></td></tr><tr><td><table> <tr><td></td><td><a href="">Button 2</a></td></tr></table></td></tr> </table></td></tr></table><table><tr><td><table border=1 bordercolor=#000000><tr><td><table align=center><tr><td>Menu 2</td> </tr></table></td></tr><tr><td><table><tr><td> </td><td><a href="">Button 1</a></td></tr></table></td> </tr><tr><td><table><tr><td></td><td> <a href="">Button 2</a></td></tr></table></td></tr></table></td></tr> </table></td> </table></td> <td width=80% border=3 bordercolor=#000000 valign=top align=center>How could I "stick" the menu tables on the left side to the top, like this text on the right side with valign=top? </td></tr><table> i have tables.. http://teamsquirrels.net when one expands it goes under or over the other i want it to push the other one across how can i do this??? We have the following code in our header at www.hometheatershack.com ... but I'm thinking it ain't right and am wondering if someone could look at it and tell me if I can improve on the code.
