HTML - Spelling Error On-site
Hate to be a nit-picker, and maybe I just missed the joke, but the following line is appearing at the bottom of the posts in the CSS forum (and possibly others):
"Validate often, DURING development! Use it like a splelcheker" Just thought you should know... Similar TutorialsI've just launched my new fitness site for my Personal Training service in Colchester however I was told there were spelling mistakes on some pages and in some areas, now its not as simple as pressing F7 to find them all, as they haven't shown up. To be honest I just need a hand another pair of eye because I can't see any but I've spent ages on it looking, my sites called www.ferdinandfit.com Thanks www.unboundstudios.net Hey, Im having trouble uploading my site. I bought the domain name, i bought a host and when i go to my site it said "Site Coming Soon".... I went into my ftp server folder and found a few files, including some internet files which were probably the files that displayed the page that said "Site Coming Soon". I deleted those files, which resulted in the page getting deleted, and now it simply says "Page Not Found". I tried to put in my own html files but its not working, does anybody know why? the page remains the same = page not found. I bought my domain and hosted my account all on www.godaddy.com so when i enter my page it shows that its a godaddy page except that it says page not found, and then a bunch of information and reasons why it may be. The first reason that says "It may not be working because you have either not uploaded a file, or incorrectly uploaded a file" <--- and thats why. So please, can anybody tell me how to write the html "Properly" to upload my site? I would like it to display the redirected site, but if possible keep to the original address.. e.g. A site named www.mysite.com, with an INDEX.HTML to redirect to www.othersite.com, which displays OTHERSITE with www.mysite.com in the address bar. However, I want this to be the new 'about' page. Notice how the "nav" images change because of the added content in the layout cell. My site looks exactly as I want in all of the following; Firefox, Chrome and Safari but IE 8 shifts my navigation links. So when I use it in Firefox, there is not a problem. When I do it in IE, everything is not in the right position. Then I tried in Chrome. The footer goes beside the sidebar. I have developed the new home page for my companies web site. To me it looks great and I am happy with the appearance (in Safari). What I am not happy with is it's appearance in Firefox. When viewed in Firefox there are blue boxes around all of the link images and and this is causing the placement to be out also (not perfect like in Safari). I have three questions : 1. How do I stop the blue boxes when viewing in Firefox? 2. Not having IE, how does this page look in IE? 3. Have I approached the coding correctly and could it be done better thus improving the performance? I am aware that there are a good number of rollovers but I do wish to keep them all.
