Hello, thanks for everyones help a few months ago with our site, I have another quick questions. On this page http://www.blackwidowinc.com/cublwisc.html I added a Javascript image viewer, Everything appears to be working fine its just when an image is opened all the content on the left appears above the image. Any help is appreciated.
Similar TutorialsHi, Im sure many of you will laugh at my poor knowledge, but I need to make a image viewer for my portfolio website. I am using HTML and CSS, and I am working in Dreamweaver. As detalied answers as posssible please.. Hello all, I am so stuck , after spending all of last night reading and crawling across google to find coding for my problem, I am still so lost! Basically, I have a webpage which is going to have lots of small clickable images on it, and each image is going to be linked to bring up a pop up window that opens up full screen (without scroll bars, no searchbar, etc, just a window thats resizeable), which will have the image click on as a larger view. I know this is javascript coding, but each time I found solutions across the net, it was usually only for if the page had one image that was going to be made larger. If you click on this site, this shows what I'm after (and click on one of the little images).... any ideas??? Does anybody know how to make a HTML page that shows an overview of the contents of one of my web folders? Like an ftp-page but with the possibillity to add css-style to the page...? I mean, of course, one of the folders on the server in wich my web site is uploaded. Example: I have 10 PDF-files in the folder "PDFs" on my server. I do not want to make links to the files, but I want the files (not the content of the files, but the filenames) to be viewed direcly in a HTML file. Is this a java-script job, or can i do it in another way? Hope you guys out there can help me.. mvh Prosit I'm in the process of making a HTML Interactive CD, I have PDF, and Image files and Panoramic files. I have no problem getting the PDF and Image files to run as these programs or typically available on most PC's, and I'm providing the Adobe Installer with the CD in case the user needs it. Now the real problem is my Panoramic files.... I have a Imove viewer this a viewer capable of viewing "Pan" files locally or via CD. I can run these files through an Autorun.inf with out a problem, but I want to run them through an html link... the Imove viewer program requires no dll or installation the only files that exist are the Imove-viewer.exe & Imove-viewer.isu. no matter how I code it I can't get it to run the Pan file in the viewer I have the Imove-viewer.exe & Imove-viewer.isu present in the directory with the Pan files. I've coded it like this "/Panoramics/Imove-viewer.exe Mypan.pan" which tranlates to: "/Panoramics/Imove-viewer.exe%20Mypan.pan" I get "unable to Locate the file" messages. Any help would be appreciated. I'm wondering if there is a way to code html into a newsletter to get the look of the examples on this site: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...tbox/index.htm without having to host the javascript and CSS pages. I currently use Constant Contact, but am looking around for other email marketing providers. I spoke to CC today and they said to put the CSS into their stylesheet, but obviously there is no way to put in the images (like the next button) or any of the javascript info. Basically, my boss wants the images in our newsletter (and the archived version stored on our website) to be able to pop open the images to make them larger. I can put html into the newsletter, but nothing more than what's in the actual page and the stylesheet. I think my only other option is to make an actual webpage for each of our newsletters, put the link of the in the newsletter that goes out in the mass email so the client is reading it from a webpage rather than their email browser. But our client base isn't that savvy (mostly retired age) and I want to make this as easy for them as possible, and given that they're older, they need to be able to look at bigger images. My apoligies if this is in the wrong section. I have a jumble of issues and I wasn't sure where to land. Hello everyone, I am looking for some HTML help. I am injecting some code into my Squarespace website builder to have my sites banner be a .SWF file. It's simple and it works: <div style="position:absolute;margin-top:-44px"> <object width="373" height="50"> <param name="movie" value="test_flash_banner.swf"> <embed src="/storage/test_flash_banner.swf" width="373" height="50"> </embed> </object> </div> What I want to do is have it show a jpeg instead of the .swf, if you user can't see .swf files (doesn't have an up to date flash player) Is there a way to do that? Hi all -- I'm having an interesting problem. I'm designing a web page that has a navigation banner (home - programs - schedule of events - contact us - downloads) that is made up of a .png for each page (i.e. home.png, programs.png, etc). My page is 1000px wide and all of the navigation banner's images add up to 1000px wide. I'm using JavaScript to create an onMouseOver and onMouseOut effect on each of the images. The problem that I'm having occurs when I tried to add a link (either by <A HREF= or using an image map). Whenever I add a link to the image, a small (3px) area of white space shows up to the right of the image. This shifts all of my other images 3px to the right (and 3 more for each link I add to subsequent images) thus making the total width of the navigation banner over 1000px and the last image gets shoved to a new line. I can find no way to get rid of this white space other than to remove the link from the image. There is no property on the page that adds any sort of padding, margins, or borders to images or links, so I can see no property that has to be changed. Help! How do I get rid of this white space but still keep the link on the image?? [I posted this question on the Adobe forum to no avail, below is a screencap I took of the issue I'm having] Thanks in advance! //kl PS - I am using both IE8 and Chrome to view this webpage. I've set all the margins/padding/borders to 0px. Here is my CSS and the part of the code that pertains to the navigation banner. CSS: Code: <style type="text/css"> <!-- body { font: 100% Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; background: #666666; margin: 0; /* it's good practice to zero the margin and padding of the body element to account for differing browser defaults */ padding: 0; text-align: center; /* this centers the container in IE 5* browsers. The text is then set to the left aligned default in the #container selector */ color: #000000; background-image: url(images/blue.bg.png); background-repeat: repeat; background-color: #009; } .oneColFixCtr #container { width: 1000px; /* using 20px less than a full 800px width allows for browser chrome and avoids a horizontal scroll bar */ background: #FFFFFF; margin: 0 auto; /* the auto margins (in conjunction with a width) center the page */ border: 0px solid #000000; text-align: left; /* this overrides the text-align: center on the body element. */ } .oneColFixCtr #mainContent { padding: 0 20px; /* remember that padding is the space inside the div box and margin is the space outside the div box */ } body, td, th { color: #333; } #main_banner2 { margin: 0px; padding: 0px; height: auto; width: 1000px; } --> </style> </head> Nav Banner: NOTE:: below HAS to be all one paragraph because if i insert a carriage return in between images, it also adds the white space... The part I am having trouble with is the content box. I have a content box that I need to be fixed (width) and it needs to stretch vertically when there is content on the page that will overfill the original page. There is then a div under this content which is a footer type image. This needs to move down when the content fills the above box.. I can't get this too work, all it does is strech horizontally, and when I stretch it vertically it just shows up blank... Any ideas? For some reason Internet Explorer won't show anything, but when you use Mozilla it shows up just fine. I checked to see if it was just geocities that was messed up, but it did the same thing with cjb.net, so I'm stumped. I don't know what's wrong with my code, everything seems fine, there's no deprecated tags or anything of that nature. Here's a link to the website. Any help would be greatly appreciated. First, I'm no expert, but I can work my way around a bit of HTML If you're familiar with myspace pages, great! I'm working on a band profile, which is trickier than a user profile (at least, if you want it to look legit): http://www.myspace.com/489097511 It still needs a lot of work, but the reason I'm looking for help is the bottom of the page (user information, online now, last logged in, general info...etc) I'm curious as to how I can place a layer over it, on which I can post whatever I want I can't seem to get a div to cover that area, and if I do, it only ever appears under all the info I want to cover. Any help is much appreciated! Hi, I am putting together a quick site, I don't normally use iframes but wanted to use it for a forum so I could imbed it into my theme. When I use the iframe code: Code: <iframe src="http://www.mypokerbuds.com/Forum" width="675px" height="1000px" frameborder="0"> It works great, but the bottom graphic of my template is missing, you can see the forum page he http://www.mypokerbuds.com/Forum.htm On the homepage you can see what the bottom graphic is suppose to look like: http://www.mypokerbuds.com/index.html Does anyone know what is causing this graphic to not show up? Thanks, Nick It's a php script I made that queries my database and puts the data in RSS 2.0 format. The problem is, when I I try to view it, half the time I get this: http://www.htmlforums.com/attachment...1&d=1202333562 The other half I get it correctly: http://www.htmlforums.com/attachment...1&d=1202333599 Notice how the before part is exactly what you'd get if you took out all of the takes and linebreaks. The strangest part is that I've compared the source of each version and they are identical. This only happens in Firefox. I'm having trouble getting the same look for my site in both Firefox and IE. Currently, the site looks great in Firefox. It looks just as I would like it. The nav links are all lined up on the left, and the login area is nice. However, when I view it in IE, things are different. The nav links all seem to be centered somehow, causing them to not line up very well. The login area is not as tidy either - the text input boxes are different sizes, even though they are both marked to hold 10 characters. Anyone have any idea how I can get the look that is working in Firefox to also work in IE? The website URL is www.learn-korean-now.com Thanks. I have this coding: <table style="display:inline;border-collapse:collapse;border:0"><tr> <td style="padding:0"><img src="transparent.gif" align="center" width="1" height="200" style="background:red"> </td></tr></table> But the red line is on the top left when I need it in the center middle.....can someone please help me get it into the center middle..or is there another way of making that line but more easy and simple? Thanks! I have a website I dedicated to my daughter. I host on godaddy. I downloaded the guestbook and finally got it to where when you click submit it goes from the addentrty screen to the guestbook so you can view what others write. Only problem is it doesnt add the text from addentry to the guestbook page. the website: www.rosenbaumfamily.com following is the code from the two pages. I know a little about html but i cant seem to find whats missing.
