HTML - Having To Click Twice On A Flash Movie To Play. (focus Issue) Plz Help. Ie6

I have a flash movie that needs to be played when a link is clicked. So I tried the following but it did not work. Firefox just tries to open the file.

Hi!

I have exported an flash movie to a html file. The file is located at http://magnetik.eu/files/ratas If move around the menu you will notice that is a line break at the top. Right between the flash file and the top of the browser.

Any idea how can I get rid of it?

Hi there, i'm trying to insert a flash movie into the html of my index.cfm file using dreamweaver.

Im quite new to working with files that link to a coldfusion database.

Anyhow, it doesn't seem to play, and i'm guessing it's because it doesn't like the scripts file generated by dreamweaver.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I am trying to replace my existing flash videos with newer ones. These newer videos I converted from Quicktime to swf. I replaced the video file name with the newer video file name and it uploaded fine.

There are a couple problems though. It doesn't have the Play, Stop, etc controls at the bottom and it is on a loop.

How do I get the controls to show up and to stop it from playing over and over!?!?!

I'm having a really odd problem with the html audio player. It looks fine if I don't click the play button, but the moment I click the play button, it would disappear and reappear around 15-20 pixels lower. Here is my code for a simple audio player:

The same problem occurs for an audio player that I've set to hidden, and will appear if I click an arrow and disappear if I click another arrow. It hides it and re-appears fine, just the player shifts down 15-20 pixels if I click play...

IE7 sometimes displays messages in the yellow bar at the top of a page regarding active content running on the page. This happens when you have JavaScript running in the page.

Also with Flash it's now required to click the Flash control to enable it. Some sites however, like Nokia.com for example have Flash embedded but IE7 doesn't ask me to click the thing to enable it.

How do they do this? Is it also possible to tell IE7 that my JavaScript is not malicious and have it not display the message to people that will visit my site with IE7?

I have an album which has 5 to 6 audio files(wma). I used checkboxes to list the audio files. I want to select one or more of the audio files by ticking in checkbox and play those selected using a button. How can I do that using html?

I see that many music sites use this functionality, but not sure how to code this using html? Can someone help?

Note: I have already hosted the audio files and have the web url for all the wma files.

I've got a problem trying to embed a flash file into a webpage. Whenever I look at the page, the flash file (.swf) fails to load, and i get a (1 item remaining) message in the status bar.

If i go straight to the source of the swf file (its located on a different server) I download it and view it in the browser normally...

From that point, I can hit the back button and go back to the original page, and the flash is loaded and it works as it should.

I must do this for each browser opened up, so I'm assuming the flash file is stored in some temporary cache for each browser. Or maybe not, I really have no idea.

Of course, I'd like to flash to load without having to download it directly (literally going to www.domain.com/flash.swf and waiting for it to load)

If it makes any difference, I'm using the SWFObject method in order to view it without the gray border in IE. By the way, I'm experiencing this problem in IE 6.0, but it may be occurring for other browsers too, I'm not sure. I do not believe the face that I'm using SWFObject makes it fail, because I tried viewing it in an html page by just embedding it with <object> and <embed> and <param> and that failed too...

ok then peeps this is the issue...
i have created a page and want to play 2 separate flash files on that page...
it works on ie7, safari, opera but not Mozilla
it plays the 1st one but misses out on the 2nd one and dosen't show at all how mad is that??? as i said it works fine in all other browsers except Firefox...

Hey All..

I have a table, with two rows, and in each row i have embeded a different SWF file. The swfs (i am hoping) should end up "joined" together so it looks like only 1 animation when viewing in a browser. However, when i view in both IE and FIREFOX i get spacing inbetween the 2swfs even after setting all spacing and cellpadding of the table to "0" and verticaly aligning the TD's correctly.

Im not too sure why?...any feedback would be great!

Is it possible to simply add the word "Play" to an html web page,
which, when selected, would play an audio file stored in my web page directory?

If possible, can you provide the code?

i'm guessing the web visitor would simply need audio player software on his/her computer? Which is on most if not all computers today. Correct?

I have a jailbroken iPhone 4 and I am trying to get a flash embed to display on it but I am having a lot of trouble. i have successfully used and enabled different flash objects elsewhere but this is the only one that wont run. so I know it will work.

Can anyone help me to make sure the flash displays right? what happens is the player loader displays at the top instead of the center and the control buttons are present before it loads.

then after the loader fails it shows a "cannot connect" error.

so I think the flash object is resizing inside its self. can anyone help me clean up this script so it will display correctly in iPhone safari (with flash enabled)?
