HTML - Quick And Easy Sorting - Help Needed

Need to get copyright info to stay at the base of the page regardless of the length of content with without my floats in the content going weird, and I don't want to use Javascript.

Anyone know a way I can achieve this, tis' is driving me MADDD!

Okay so i have a question over a table that I am generating with data from a database.

The way i have my table set up is like this:
Recipe Name-----Prep Time-----Total Time-----Rating
=========================================
some data here 12 mins 20 mins 4.5
some data here 12 mins 20 mins 4.5
some data here 12 mins 20 mins 4.5
some data here 12 mins 20 mins 4.5

So what i want to know is if I could make the Column Header (RECIPE NAME)
into a link that way the user can click it and it would sort the recipe names
in ascending order.

When i open the page i am already displaying all the data form the database in this table. but i want to allow the user to be able to sort the recipe names.
So i would have to i guess (REFRESH) the page automatically??

I already have teh code to sort my data, what I need to know is how exactly to go about making the column header into a link to SORT and then refresh the page

Here is my code I currently have used to create the TABLE and populate it using a while loop to send the data from the DB into the table:

i'm building some small website and have stuck with sorting text in my website: what i want to get is sorting function so i can sort may contest wit button 1st - a to z 2nd by date. can somewhan explin me have to do that.

I know the JS works, but for some reason, this piece of html causes it to sort wrong. I rewrote this coding several times, but still same error. I need these movies added to my database, but I'm not sure what to do. I've stripped it down to make it more convenient:

I was trying to link a video I uploaded to my ISP on myspace, but I can't get it to happen.

I have looked around on Google and everywhere else and whatever is recommended looks like it will work, but doesn't play anything. (I try previewing it through FrontPage)

Any ideas?

I want to get rid of the extra space on the right hand side where everything will fit on the page. I don't know much about tables. Can someone help me?

I am struggling with a very basic problem. I cant get a link to work on my website. I have a index.html site with the main code which links to a page called faq.html.

Hi there, I haven't coded in HTML for ages and now I'm just trying to put a little site together - but I've forgotten how to do one particular simple thing, and I can't find info anywhere!

Basically, I want to have all my text spread out on one main page, and use those special links that you can do to certain parts of the page. I know that it involves something to do with hashes! So you have one hash tag at a certain part of the page, and you can click on a link to take you directly there. Sorry this is so basic!! Many thanks!

Could someone tell me what's involved or suggest a way that I could have a table full of info made up of store names, state/province, address, phone numbers etc. that could instantly be sorted by one of these categories.

Ok ive made a 100% custom html website and it looks pretty good for my first one but i just added new pages and ive added them with a code the this

and i have it leading to the second page but when it takes me to the second page it has no background and it only shows the red font but if you highlight the page you can see everything else take a look! The home page looks fine its just the Prices and the Order page that dont work.

Hi Guys/Girls

I've been asked by my employee to design a html background desktop for the pupils and staff for the school.

The last time I used my wed delvelop skills was when i was in School. (Ages ago)

What am after is a HTML page (semi Transparent) so you can still see the remaining desktop throught it.

I'll also need to have a Sub Divides according to Subject and Department.

Please go Easy on me as this is going to be my 1st attempt? is this Achievable?

1 ) After a lot of trial and error trying to work out why one of my form buttons was slighty out of place to where it should be i traced it to the fact i didin't have this at the top of the html,

2) If you are linking to 2 different external css files, so

which one takes precedence ?

You are at website A. A is the homepage.
Website A has 3 pages within it:

You are in Website A, scroll down the page 3/4 the way, and click/go to page 1.
You click the back button. It jumps you back down 3/4 the way.
The question: what's the code that brings you back 3/4 the way down the page?
Is that in the html or a built in feature in the browser?

I have a button:

and I'd like to give its attributes to an existing text link:

<a href="#" id="submit" class="link1">submit</a>

so the text link will do the same job as the button (submit a contact form).

Is it possible to do this?

Got a really easy (I think) question.

[1][2][3] <- now with 3 divs in it

1 & 3 = divs that take up all available space (fluid, stretch to fit window size).
2 = div with a set width.
1, 2 & 3 all have a height of 100%.
-------

So basically instead of the "holy grail" 3 column layout with a fluid center and fixed sides - I want a fixed center with fluid sides.

Also, I can achieve the same look by taking out divs 1 and 3 and just having div number 2 centered. But I don't want that, I want the whole page covered in divs!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
