HTML - Iframe Invisible In Invisible Div

Hi all, I am willing to solve a problem when my site renders in firefox correctly but in when viewed in ie it somehow does not show my iframe ...where is the problem , is ie showing that iframe behind the background , or ? Well it had made me lots of work googling and compiling my code together from pieces but dont know really what causes that strange behaviour in ie ...??? Any clues??? I've been trying to get rid of them, hide them, make them same color as my background, but no matter what I do, they're still being displayed in my browsers. Below is my frame file. I thought that setting frameborder to zero or to none would get rid of them. Previously I also tried making the bordercolor black (same as my background), but them borders are still displaying. I've heard many times "don't use frames, there is better ways to accomplish it", and I was wondering, is this just referring to "invisible" frames, or any frames? For example, look at Kingdom of Loathing. They use frames (or what appears to be frames) and I can't see how they could successfully make that site without. If I had to have all the screens scroll as one rather than separate, and couldn't resize when I needed to, it would be extremely annoying. I currently using dreamweaver and have figured out the way I want to make this site. I tried using ordinary frames, but I want the website to be aligned in the middle and I could make that happen. If the link is on the index page and target the iframe then it works. Do you have any idea why this happens? I know it's possible since the link above does it. Hi! On this page, in IE7 only, I get a large frame with a jumble of images below it. However, the same page looks perfect in Firefox. Additionally, this page works fine in IE7. Thanks in advance, echotree I am using iFrame code in my website www.teeandcakes.com The reason being is to import a blog from blogger. This has worked. However one of the main reasons to do this is for web visitors to be able to use the blog as a tool. As in the Keywords and such. So say you want to click on the keyword "custom cakes" All the blog entries linked with those keywords show up, but at the top. Can there be some scrolling action so you are not left with a blank section. I'm sure there's better ways to go about this, but I'm working with what I know. When you click on the links contained within the blog (in the iFrame part) your links open in this page and don't scroll to the top. As I can't control the automatic code on blogger, I would like -- if there is a way to click on the blogger-based links and have them load at the top of the beginning of the iFrame section. Sorry this is confusing and I'm trying to explain best I can. Any help would be hugely appreciated. |
