HTML - Specified Width Of Text Field Causing Margin Not To Work
Here is a (very trimmed-down) version of my site:
http://www.nceccec.com/en_us/css_test.html At least in IE6 and IE7, the top field does not display the specified left margin, while the bottom one correctly shows the left margin. There is only one difference between these two fields: the CSS property width is set on the first field, while no width is set on the second field. Thanks for any guidance! Jason Similar Tutorialsim creatinh a box containing a text. The box must be wide enough to fill a text. menu.style.width = tekst.length - this functioin gives the number of letters in text. So if the text is "hello" then the width is 5 pixels. But i need the widith of pixels needed to fit the text in a box. How can i do that? EDIT: I fixed it all! I just had unnecessary table indications. duuuhhhh. IE also doesn't use my text settings, like the margins I chose. I'm not sure how to fix this. I used to make websites a lot, but haven't in a few years, not since CSS was just starting to be popular, and I feel quite lost! However, when I do (by adding more  , the title breaks into another line instead of moving further to the right. I have tried manipulating the margin px, but it isnt changing. If I see the same in IE, it doesnt show all the data, and there is no scrollbar. If I give the table width in px form then to some extent I am able to see the scrollbar in IE, and minimum pixel I had to give is 3000 and above. Is there any common solution to me to fix this so that I can see same both the browsers. We would like to have solution, width in % not in px. Please let me know the solution for this.
