HTML - Easy Question About Frame Background Images
Normally when I add a background image to a frame the image repeats itself in a tiled fashion, you know what I mean.
Is there any way to change this so it only shows the background image once. I don't want tiled. Thanks!! Arc. Similar TutorialsI need my background image in the main table to stretch the entire length of the viewers browser whenever the content of the page is not enough to require the use of the entire page. Using table height at 100% it will only extend as far as the farthest south piece of content on the page, which might not be the bottom of the browser window. The site is here, and i'm currently using a table height of 750px to take it off the bottom of the page. However in IE i get an unwanted scrollbar. Is there an easy workaround of do i just accept the scrollbar is going to be there? Also, if your bored can you tell me why IE wont valign the td to the top of the cell, whereas FF will, and how i might fix that pls? Thx! Hello! I'm having this problem and am not sure if it can be solved: I have table with text. The text length varies as it is user-inputed. I want to have, as background, 2 graphics that encapsulate it on the vertical axis. They look like "[" and "]" but inverted. What I am aiming to do is have the text start with the "inverted-[", continue to stretch and then end with "inverted-]". How can it be done, please? There is only one TD and both graphics willl get covered with text, so I can't have one as background for the text TD and the last one just at the end without any text on it... Nevermind >_< i figured it out allowtransparency="true" What I need to know now is if I can make the Iframe expand when scrolling is turned off and the contents is too big (ex. Find out why we are "Not Just A Source, but a Resource".</font></div></td> Howdy, Got a really easy (I think) question. ------ [ ] <- total viewable window space [1][2][3] <- now with 3 divs in it 1 & 3 = divs that take up all available space (fluid, stretch to fit window size). 2 = div with a set width. 1, 2 & 3 all have a height of 100%. ------- So basically instead of the "holy grail" 3 column layout with a fluid center and fixed sides - I want a fixed center with fluid sides. Also, I can achieve the same look by taking out divs 1 and 3 and just having div number 2 centered. But I don't want that, I want the whole page covered in divs! Website A has 3 pages within it: 1 2 3 You are in Website A, scroll down the page 3/4 the way, and click/go to page 1. You click the back button. It jumps you back down 3/4 the way. The question: what's the code that brings you back 3/4 the way down the page? Is that in the html or a built in feature in the browser? Thanks! In the video frame VLC playing on top of the video frame (Not embedded into HTML). The Video is playing correctly, except sometimes only "a black color background" comig, not always (Within the video frame, vertically left-half/right-half/Full of the frame is black color background) is appearing between VLC-video and Frame. Since I have positioned the video (top:8px; left:57px), I can noticed when above taken place. Actually, in my application VLC is independent of Firefox/HTML.l So I want to avoid the black-color background. I dont want the black color background. Actually, this is happening when skin changes, the code attached is currently having skin_10 (for resolution 1024x768). Similarly changing skin_1 for the same resolution, but cols, and rows only changing. ie. frame size is changing for different skins. Hi guys, just a quick question about positioning objects in HTML. Sorry if the is a noobish question, im new to html and dreamweaver. Basically, for a school assignments we nhave to create a webpage. There is one aspect though that i cant figure out. What is the best way to position pictures, divs etc in HTML? If I use absolute positioning with pixels, it changes where it is on different screen sizes (obviously). The best way i have found so far is by using percentages (eg top 40%) but this is slow and hard. Any better way? I have a frame dividing my screen into two sections, a top window and a bottom window. I can scroll down my table and the header stays put. My problem comes when I open my table in a window that is too narrow to display the full width of the table. A horizontal scroll bar properly appears at the bottom of the page so I can move left or right to view individual columns in the table. However, I would like to lock the header, top window, so that as I scroll horizontally with the horizontal scroll bar, the header moves left and right with the body, no separate horizontal scroll bar needed for the header. Is this possible? Or am I breaking some sort of law of physics? Any help appreciated. I thought I had cracked this nut a couple of years ago but can't find the file. Charlie Hey. My boss has asked me to make a sort of...main user page. The employees will log in to this 'main page' (did this using php) and then they can get access to their time sheets, expense sheets and other things. Im just wondering the best way to do a lay out is.. I need to have the company logo in the top. and then I was thinking a bar just under that with all the different options. then underneath that will appear all the info. Say they pic time sheet, it would appear underneath. I was reading on w3, and I was reading about frames...but when I go to use them phpDesigner v6.2.3, i just get red underlined syntax errors, which leads me to believe they arent correct to use anymore (granted they do get the job done when i preview my page ) If you can tell me what I should research up on, that would be great. I am sort of stumped on this one however. My question is I have an inline frame that is holding data from a txt file. What I would like to do is take the data the inline frame is displaying and copy it to the clipboard using a button. Below are links to the images and the code I am using...
