HTML - Free Formatted Text Field Code?
Does anyone know where I can find some free code for a formatted/enhanced text field (very similar to the one I am typing this into, with the bold/italics/underline options, etc). I have a website where I upload a lot of articles that usually come in Word format, and instead of converting that to html (usually by hand because Word does not convert to xhtml transitional) I would much rather just use an enhanced text field and copy and paste it, then in the background I would have the code that would insert the articles to my database and create the pages and links for them.
I just need code for the enhanced form. Everything I have found so far is entire bulletin board systems, which I do not need. Thanks Similar TutorialsWhen you format some text in a table cell (at least with <p> or <li> tags), some browsers drop it down one line, so that it can't fully valign top. Apparently Safari and Firefox do this. (IE seems to not do it - it valigns it to the top). Others may exhibit this behaviour, but these are all I've tested. Here is an example (view with Safari or Firefox to see problem): http://www.fisheyemedia.net/test/ Is there any way around this? Maybe with CSS? I have a more complex table in 2 columns and am trying to get vertical alignments to match. Thanks. Hi All, first post in the forum. I would like to know if it is possible to create a drop down list from which the user could select a value but could also decide to enter a new one ? What I want is to offer the user to select an existing company name or enter a new one, but I would like to have only one field to do it instead of two. Is this possible Thanks for helping. Hi I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but I want to know if it possible to make a drop down menu and then when you click on the content inside it adds it to a plain text field. This is for a form I'm making for my website...I just don't know how to do this. Oh and a button to remove the content again. Any help is appreciated. Thank you Hi Guys I have a text input field in a form that has data in it from a previous entries. Is there something i can do that ensures the field is empty when the form is pulled up? Thanks everyone I have a web page that I had to convert from a .psd file to an html and I'm not able to center a submit button and the text field next to it. I've tried various alignments but I'm also limited by what I can do because when you convert from .psd to html the entire page is one form. I don't have an external link but I'm able to provide html if necessary. Can someone please take a look at my code and offer some suggestions? Thank you Doug I'm developing a small client / server application in HTML. It has a webserver which is hosting a page (login.html) the pages takes in login and password and lets you login into a console. The client just need a network access to reach the webserver. However, for audits / database i want to save the text entered into the username/password field into a file on my server machine. What i need to do? Is there a client side script that i need to write to do this or i could do it with HTML alone. Thank you I have three user input text boxes called; "name", "email" and "phone" and one text field to display that information called; "feedback". When a "Submit" button is clicked, the three text boxes are validated to check that what was typed inside them was OK. I then want to display the Users' name, email and phone number on individual lines in the text field, for example, name on line 1, email on line 2 and phone number on line 3. At the minute when I submit the information only the phone number displays on the first line of the text box. In the text field "feedback"; I know the HTML probably interprets my code as; the name is being replaced by the email and then the email is being replaced by the phone number. Here is the relevant section of my code. function validate(){ if (validateName () && validateEmail() && validateformatNumber()){ var myName=document.survey.visitor.value; document.survey.feedback.value=myName; var myEmail=document.survey.email.value; document.survey.feedback.value=myEmail; var myPhone=document.survey.phone.value; document.survey.feedback.value=myPhone; return true; }else{ return false; }} I think the solution could be something simple but I haven't much of an idea of how to do it. Thanks in advance. I'm a beginner studying HTML. One item that I cannot find out how to do is to put a design behind the images/text in a regular text field. For instance, if I was on a social networking site and typed about myself in a specific box on my profile. Is it possible to embed or modify my text to have a custom design in its backdrop with something such as a specific code that I may add in? |
