HTML - Loading Frames From A Search Engine Result

Had an idea for a web page I've been working on, but not sure how to do it.
The page is divided into three frame columns. Left, skinny frame shows a file with all my buttons. Clicking on any of those buttons loads a file into the large center frame, displaying a large picture. What I'd like to do is to make that button simultaneously load a second file into the frame on the right, showing text describing the image in the center. Unfortunately I don't know how to make my button do two things instead of just one. Can HTML do that, or do I need scripting for stuff like that?

As you can see, it has frames (ooh, the horror!). The problem I have (or have had for a long time but have been too lazy to do anything about it) is that at times I'd like to post links to specific map reviews but linking to separate shtml files means that you won't get the top and left frames. So, is there some code I can write in, for example, this page so that whenever you access that subpage, it loads the frames around it as well?

But it only work for firefox, i wanna do that for Opera, Chrome and IE.
Maybe someone would provide "good/working" script for that ?

New to the forum here, looks like a great place! Anyhow, need some help / direction. I've been given the task to create an intranet search engine at work, but the level of coding is a bit over my head, so any help would be much appreciated.

Long story short - I need to make a search with drop downs and I can't figure out how to make all three drop downs dictate what is searched for. Take a look at the two drop down set up KBB has for an idea of what I mean: http://www.kbb.com/kbb/NewCars/defau...=41&ModelId=23. I'm pretty sure this can all be done in HTML, but if I'm wrong tell me.

Can anyone help on this or atleast point me in the right direction? Thanks a bunch!

I need help replicating the model search engine from weather.com I need a search box where you start entering text and then up pops the completed searches to choose from. I have a list of about 4,000 one or two word names that I need to link to the appropriate page. If someone could help me code this in any way I would greatly appreciate help & thank you in advance.

Any hints on how to implement a search engine for my site? It could be a ready engine or something. The more easier it is to program the better. I can barely code HTML now.

could someone tell me different techniques for proper SEO besides meta words and whatnot.

Hello all, I am looking to place a search engine within the my home page so as that visitors can search the sites content. the problem is that my website is a sub domain (from a free DNS provider)and having trawled the web I can only find HTML source code to search top level domains (for eg Googles Custom Search Engine....). I have tried Googles CSE on another site (*.co.uk) that I run and it works perfectly, but not with a subdomain.

I would be grateful if someone can tell me if this is possible and if possible where I can find the source code to insert into my home page so as that it can be searched thro' my site,

i'm only new to website building, so i thought i'd start with a free template and have a play around and see how things work. i've got most of it happening, but i can't find any kind of script for an in-site search engine. there's the 'search' tab, but when you enter a word nothing happens. i've googled search engines and they all want you to pay by the month for it. is there anywhere i can get one for free? i only want a really basic one for about 6 web pages.

I read somewhere that in order to help the search engine robots/spiders find my web pages I need to put in some code.
I have looked around, but cannot see it anywhere (typical).
anyone help me here please and tell me what lines of html I need to add to my page/s?

also, is it really worthwhile using or paying someone for seo?
I dont like to part with money at the best of times, but I cannot actually believe that this is a worthwhile investment- aren't all search engines different, in thast they use different 'collection' methods?
I was thinking of using ppc (Google perhaps?) do this sound a better way to get noticed on the web (providing that I choose my keywords properly, of course)?

I built a frame based web site with a black background. my problem is that when the frames load in the framesets a white background is displayed. anyone can tell me how i can make these turn black ?

Ive been trying to set up a search input type box where the only portion entered into the search is the actual string. The HTML code works great when using a Google search such as this simple code:

What im trying to do is use a search page such as the one on the apple discussion website. Issue comes up that i need it to specifically search criteria,. Exactly, ii would need it to use the search string criteria form the first code, then chose specific criteria on the actual site page. In the apple page example, i would need it to search say a specific forum from the drop down menu. I tried running a blank search and using that URL as my search site but it doesn't seem to work. It never search that specific forum.

ANY HELP ?

I have like over 5 thousand mp3's on my web server
I want to install a search box on the MP3 home page that can search for mp3's based on your search input
The only search engines I can find only search text and html files.
Any help would be awesome
