I need to add a browse button to my webpage which has the same
functionality as that of the Browse button in windows application. Is there any particular Java API for same, or can it be done using javascript Similar TutorialsIs there a way to put a custom graphic for the browse button in the file upload field, similar to how you can use a custom graphic for the submit button? I have created a browse button for uploading a file. When user clicks on upload button without selecting any file for upload I want to display an alert message to user. So I'd like to have a 160*600 box with hyperlinks displaying only a headlines I select. I would like the bottom of the box to have arrows for navigating between sections of links that fit in the box with a place to enter a page number in between them. I would like it to begin with displaying the most recently posted links starting on the last page number with that being the first page it displays. I want the bottom of the box to include below the browsing chronological browsing feature an arrow facing left with the word "search" that would open a box with a place to type in text for it to search link headlines. At the bottom of the search box I would like an arrow facing down with the words "search by label". Yes, I would like to not only select a headline for each link but also categorically label them. If I could also select images for it to automatically fill the empty space with when a new page number is started that would be great, even better if it selects ones that fill the most depending on how long the headlines are. If it repeated headlines in extra page space instead of showing images that would be cool too. I'd also like it to automatically expand in height past 160*600 to make a new page number just for a headline that doesn't fit in 160*600. I need this in HTML. Would it be possible to have a button(like a type=file) that browses directories only, but instead of uploading them, just displaying the path as a text, so when my script picks it up, it just reads the text? EDIT: What I'm talking about is very similar to this thread, but i just want them to upload path so when the script emails the data, its just a link to the path on the local server and my other question is: 2. If a user enters data in a text area, like i am writing in this, when my script picks it up, it does not seem to get the newlines at the end and just displays it all on one line, is there a way i can go about fixing it so that it gets passed(or even converted) to exactly how the user entered it? EDIT: I've tried using wrap="physical" tag but I've been reading and some people say that it doesn't work..any suggestions? I am very out of practice with html so I would really appreciate someone telling me the code I need to program the following: I want it so that each time the user clicks a button a number appears for 1 second and then dissapears. I want to be able to define what that number is (and it will depend on how many times the user has clicked). For example, on the first click, I want the value "1" to appear for one second and then dissapear (if the user clicked, say, the left button; the right button will have different numbers). On the second click, I want the value "0" to appear for one second and then dissapear, etc. It is also important that I somehow restrict the user from clicking very fast because I want them to see each value, so there needs to be some way to disable the buttons while the value is being shown and then reenabled when the value dissapears. I also need a "counter" at the bottom of the screen that tallies up the total of the values that are being shown on the button. For example, after that first click the counter would have "1" and after the second click the counter would still say 1. Finally, when the user has clicked 100 times, I want the button to become disabled and another "end" button to appear and be enabled. Thanks for any help! I have used table for designing this form. How can I use a submit button so that it is placed in the center of the cell at the bottom of the page. As far as I can tell, it seems what that is doing is showing the top 27 pixels of a built-in "Learn More" graphic, and when you hover over it, it shows the bottom 27 pixels and gives the illusion of a rollover. My question is, what direct HTML code could I assign to a graphic to duplicate that effect so I can customize my own buttons? For instance, let's say I want the below graphic (which is 242x54, named button.jpg) to link to google.com. What code would I use to create the hover effect I described above?
