HTML - Html File Making Software?
Hi
I need to make a simple html file and need software to make it but I do not have any. What best free software is best to do it? Similar TutorialsMy client wants a client login button on his website that will open up a piece of software on his and his employee's PC's (Microsoft terminal services client). Simply linking to C:\WINDOWS\system32\mstsc.exe doesn't seem to work. I'm guessing it's due to safety on the browsers behalf. Does anyone know how to make this work? Thanks. PS - I'm on a Mac, but my employer is on PC and it doesn't work for him either. Is there any software that converts psd to html code instead of slicing manually in photoshop and developing html using dreamweaver ?? Newbie -- using KompoZer to prepare text & image pages for eBookGold publishing software. 1. No problem preparing pages. Copy and paste from Word doc. Clean up code as necessary. Simple formatting - no bells & whistles. Page width set at 580 pixels. 2. Each page viewed in IE7 is consistent with flush left margin and right margin consistent with 580 pixel width. Each page is tested for printing on 8.5x11 paper so pages can be numbered. 3. File is uploaded to eBook publishing software with default page view of 640x480. Software includes eBook viewer for computer use. Book generates successfully. 4. PROBLEM IS WITH VIEWING PAGES IN THE SOFTWARE READER. Some are the same as IE7. Others spread from edge to edge of the computer screen which, in some cases, affects the image and text placement. ???? Why is there a difference between IE7 and software publisher view of same page? Is there HTML code that can fix the problem? If yes, what is it and how do I do it? specifics would be appreciated. My employer and I are learning as we go -- any help is gratefully appreciated. Hello..Just to describe my situation to you. I am new and don't know how to create webistes, and I have no shame in that. I am fairly familiar with computers as I spend about 4 hours a day on computer. I have always wanted to know how to create webistes and create one of my won. I am sure it's not hard once u get the hang of it but I have no clue. What I am asking of you pros on this site is: 1) suggest a good html creating software..somthing easy to understand and use for a beginner. 2) suggest some websites which give free megabites for you to start your site. I am very impressed with the content and information available in the ocean (forum). I am not good in programming. However, I have learned basic HTML programming, but not enough to write advanced coding (e.g. Creating CSS, class, table formatting, etc). I used to work on MS FrontPage and liked it very much because of its user-friendly interface. There we do get notepad, word and HTML preview windows. I always liked to work in Word window and copy notepad/code. But the biggest disadvantage is MS FrontPage uses a lot of MS Office classes and extra codes which is too tough to understand for other people. The only reason I stopped working in FrontPage because of excessive code and classes. I am looking for a software/tool where in I need to just work on Word processor like window, and I will get its code and html preview automatically? So that I will design my html page in word processor like window and get pure html code. Why do I need that software? Reason: I work on html, extensively on tables, nested tables, where in I need to use only one side border, middle border, only bottom border for each row, use gradient color in cell background, etc. I checked with Coffeecup HTML ediot and Dreamweaver CS4, but they also dont have much features for tables, and it is too advanced to use only to create HTML pages I'm in need of a software that searches text in html files and replaces them ignoring the html tags. As example replace 1 with <b>1.</b> it should ignore tags like color="111111" and not make color="<b>1.</b><b>1.</b><b>1.</b><b>1.</b><b>1.</b><b>1.</b>" out of it. Hi all! I'm new to this forum. I'm not very tech savvy so this is probably why I'm about to lose my mind trying to figure out the solution to my problem.... I would like a good software program where I can create templates in html format so that I can email for marketing purposes. I've tried a few online services and their limitations have me beating my head against the wall. I don't know html code. And I don't need to build a website. And I don't want to spend an outrageous amount of money. But I do want to create a template that will get to someones inbox, not junk mail, and arrive without attachments. I need the software to be user friendly & have an easy interface where I can easily edit using a visual editing tool. Does that exist? Any advice would be very much appreciated So all I want to do is to make a form where I can upload files to my webserver. I'd just like to stick to plain old HTML if possible. I made the form and the page but the problem is that when I upload a file the form gets submitted properly and it goes to another web page that is set as the action on the form however the file is nowhere to be seen! I thought that the file would just automatically appear in the same directory that the html file where the submitting form is. So does anyone know where my file is? Thanks! hi everybody, I am working in a html. I defined a functiion in a html file.(first.html) I want to call that function in another html file.(second.html) How can i call that function in second.html file? give some sample code Thanks in advance.... I have been asked by a client of make an e-mail for their product that has email elements in it like a picture and a logo that use HTML elements pretty much a page that you open in your e-mail window. I often get discount mailers from many businesses that do this kind of thing. I know a bit about making HTML/CSS pages but I have never done an e-mail that has that look to it. Does anyone know the process I would use to assemble something like that? Thx u for the help? Could anyone tell me how or what I need to know to make my own forum. Not using some Free, or expesive service. If I can make myself a forum. Or either way, I would also like to know how I can get a website so I can start my own Free forum hosting service. It seems easy, you know? Not much to do once you can create 1 forum. If anyone can give me lessons through MSN or AIM, or give me a website where it walks me through this, that would be the awsomenessest thing ever . Hello guys and girls! I'm currently working on a Web Design assignment for College, and I'm having a hard time trying to find the second way of building a lay out using HTML. We have done the table way of doing it, and I have got that way down, but i can't find out the other way. Could you guys maybe give me a little help, or at least a push in the right direction? Thank you! Hi I have some basic knowledge of HTML using notpad only. What i am trying to find out is. Am i able to make banners within notepad using HTML. If i cant use note pad for making banners could you point me in the direction of free SW that can do thins using HTML? Thanks Gaz. Well there was something like this once before i think, and it was something about how if you click on a button, text will show up in a box without the whole page reloading. Now i want the same effect, but with images http://s93.photobucket.com/albums/l7...nt=gallery.jpg thats how i want the gallery to look. I dont want the whole page to have to reload each time you click a thumbnail, and i want to do this without php because my host doesnt support it. Hello everyone. I am posting here to inquire about how one can have a quiz or quotient on one's website. I know that others have done it through HTML code, but I do not know how to do it myself. The quotient contains 40 questions, is multiple choice with three possible answers, and each answer gives either 1 point, .5 point or no points. Thanks, hopefully this isn't too confusing. I want to ask about making a slider in html. Is there a way to create photo beams run continuously, forming the slider. Hope some help. I am not an amatuer, I'd think, but for some reason I am having trouble slicing up this image into a site (http://www.pigseldesign.com/tartan_mod.jpg). The top menu is the problem area, but I think my trouble comes into play due to me using tables. I haven't really delved into DIV tags yet to understand how to make it work in that form, but it doesn't seem like it would be difficult. I've just split the image into four columns and the menu falls into the 3rd. Problem is, when I make the cell's background the black/gray gradient, it spans to match the height of the patterned banner on the left (in another cell), even after I set the menu's cell's height to what it should be. I know there isn't much concrete information to work with, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Even if there were a program where I could just slap this in and have it spit out what I need. I just want the code clean, correct and looking right. And i am having a problem. Here is an example i made for the problem. It is being made my someone who has no knowledge of html in dreamweaver and then the code being tweaked by someone who knows html to be perfect. A sample line of code that comes up is this. <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <title>Untitled Document</title> </head> <body> <img width="195" height="755" src="file:///C|/Users/dog/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Dreamweaver CS4/en_US/OfficeImageTemp/clip_image002_0003.png" align="left" hspace="12" vspace="10" alt="Text Box: blah blah. " /> </body> </html> When i try to test emailing the file the picture does not show up. I know the reason. It is because it is on my computer and it cant find it. But the question is how do i get around this? The pictures and pieces of the newsletter are being made in a combination of Microsoft Word and Photoshop. Would i have to upload each picture to the internet and do it that way? Or is there a way i can imbed the pictures into the newsletter? I am using this through a yahoo email address using a program that allows you to send emails with html content through emails that do not allow html, such as yahoo. I appreciate any help. Thanks in advanced. I am looking at making a simple photo gallery with HTML/CSS only, that looks like this: http://i56.tinypic.com/29aurzm.png Does anyone know a good way going about it? |
