HTML - Please Help Me! Being Driven Insane ...
I'd like to first off being by saying Hello. And praise the little (well, rather large!) community you having going here. Far too many times I've been to forums such as this and it's just over-run with annoying, arrogant little kids. Like me I guess, haha.
With that over, I was really hoping that I could get somebody's expertise with my little problem. Basically, I have a MySpace problem. (I know, I know!) Please don't stop reading now, MySpace annoys me, but it's usefulness for musicians and bands is (unfortuantely) is undeniable. And that's exactly what this is about. I'm trying to basically give the band I play in's MySpace a bit of a revamp, to coincide with an album launch/tour/etc. BUT! I'm having some serious problems with one little part. I'm working from a layout provided by Mike Industries which thankfully makes the uglyness of MySpace that little bit nicer, but I'm struggling with working out what I'm doing wrong with the area where the band name is going. Within this layout, it replaces the standard text name at the top of the page with an image. However, the 'gap' provided within the table is too small for the image I want to put in. And I cannot for the life in me workout how to adjust it. Here is the link to the pretend MySpace so you can see what I mean: Catch-It Kebabs Fake MySpace And here is the code I am using to correspond with the image that is being cropped top and bottom: Quote: nametext {background-image: url(http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/4135/nameon5.jpg); background-position: center; background-repeat: no-repeat; height: 70px; width: 270px; font-size: 1px; text-align: left; color: f4f3d8; padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px; display: block; margin: 10px 0px 8px 0px; border-width: 0px 0px 0px 0px; border-style: solid; border-color: 18233D;} Please help me, no matter what I do I cannot make it right. I've adjusted everything and nothing seems to be working. I am not really new to this sort of thing and I like to think I'm a fairly able graphic designer and web developer, but this one has got me stumped. I won't deny it. Thanks for your time. Rich. Similar TutorialsHey, ever'body. I's just wonderin': Is it possible to restrict noise coming from one HTML frame, but not another? Thanky. Also, there's another thing. Is it possible for a frame to go to a random page chosen from a list the webmaster can input? Simple codes for these actions would be appreciated. You see, I'm a student, and I need some study material. |
