I save an Access query as an HTML file (query.html)
I then load an HTML page (TopStyle.html). This loads the query.html. I want query.html to autoscroll to the end of the page, and then either scroll to the top or just start again. It would load the HTML named (pg'+nextPg+'.htm), where nextPg is a String value ("01", "02", etc). It works WONDERFULLY in Chrome, FF, etc, but not in IE. I have been trying to figure this out for about 2 hours but since I am a 100% novice with javascript I have not got very far. Any help would be gratefully recieved. As I said this does the job to some extent however it does not leave the focus in a perfect position so that the captcha is readable and the text box visible to type in, as illustrated in the red box in the above image. Now, document.getElementById('frame1').contentDocument.getElementById('text01').value Should have given me the value in 'text01', but it doesn't. It doesn't work even inside the iFrame's onload event. ('text01' is a textbox which is on the page inside the iFrame - its name and id are both 'text01') Is there any other method to get the text in a textbox within an iFrame? Am i even on the right track? I've been testing out a billion different codes and I think it would be ridiculous to post them all so I was hoping someone could help me fix this code or at least point me in the right direction. Sorry is this is stupid. Hey, I'm looking for some help with something I have been developing over the last day or so. Basically, I have a form with some input boxes in it, and I am trying to use some javascript to do a calculation with these input boxes. The problem is that when I go to click on the "calculate" button nothing happens. The fields where the value should go to I have made visible instead of hidden to make sure that something is going there but nothing is appearing. I've checked various parts of my syntax with online checkers and other javascript examples and I'm stuck as to what has gone wrong. Edit: I have edited the code to remove/change the things that "Philip M" kindly pointed out were not needed and a bit of re-designing the page. I still can't get the javascript to put the answer value in the correct place on the click of the button. I'm under the impression it has something to do with the button rather than the javascript code but I might be wrong. I have a html where the user will just need to keyin the .pdf value and it will retrieve the file and it will be copied to local drive for certain reason. Once it's copied to local file, it will be display in IE. After the user has finished reading the .pdf, the user will click on one button to reload the html. Now I want to add in a delete function to delete the local saved .pdf. When I try to call the function after my "window.location.reload()" , the delete function will definitely not running. So, is it possible to close the .pdf file with javascript first, then delete the local saved .pdf, then here we reload the html ? Thanks for suggestion.
