I wrote this to trigger a video when an image is clicked, but it doesnt work. Any help?

I've not started building the site at all, and I've only a little HTML and no scripting experience. I plan on most likely using a service like squarespace for the ease of updating and member system and other features. (I imagine a few around here scoff at that kind of service! But that's beside the present issue.) So I imagine that if javascript is capable of handling this, it's not an extremely complicated solution. For example: say I have a song I'd like users to be able to listen to, but I want to split the parts (drums, strings, guitars, vocals, etc.) among a few different audio files, all embedded within close proximity of each other (say arranged vertically in two columns) on the same page. I want this so that users are free to play around with the parts, dropping them, lowering & raising volume, even pulling them out of sync if they please. Now what I want is a single button that will trigger all of the audio files to begin playback simultaneously, say, above the embedded files and centered. Would this be possible? Hello Friends, I have an <img> Tab to play a video(of type .wmv). The image tag is as follows: <img border="0" dynsrc="Test1.wmv" start="fileopen" loop="1" width=1081 height=838> Everything works fine, but now I need to play a video list (up to 5 videos). As soon as one video stops another video should start playing (at the same position automatically, without any user input) and as soon as the last video is stopped, it should start the first video again. Hello everyone, I have tried about 8 different variations of code to try to get this to work properly and cannot accomplish it. Please help if you can figure it out. I have 2 div's that are hidden. each div contains a FLV video, autostart=false. when button 1 is clicked, DIV 1 becomes visible and you may click on video to start playing it. When button 2 is clicked, DIV 1 goes to hidden and DIV 2 becomes visible with video 2. -- Ok so problem is this, the video that was playing in DIV 1 remains playing or at least the audio remains playing. If video 2 is started then you have 1 video source and 2 audio sources playing. I am trying to get the video in DIV 1 or DIV 2 to STOP or PAUSE when the DIV's state becomes hidden. here is the last code I tried below before frustration over come me. any suggestions would be great. Hello Everyone, Recently started using JW Player and I am very pleased so far! Did anybody have a script for making a playlist [xml file]. I hope to add java code or script (or html if possible) to play the playlist according to a schedule (year, month, day, hour, minute, second) so that, when a user opens the website, the correct video and, ideally, the correct point within the video, opens up according to the day, hour, and minute that the page is opened. This will give the impression of a "live" or "real time" broadcast. If any body could solve my problem I am very grateful to them. My requirement is I have .wmv files but when i embed them in html pages first it gets downloaded and then it gets played. I need them playing while they are getting downloaded. please help, i have tried lots of codes but got no success I'm using VS2008Pro with Master pages. On a child page, I have a modalPopupExtender that calls a panel with an embedded Google video. Everything works great - the popup appears with the video, background greyed. I have a video (.wmv) that has markers in it one can access these markers in video players like "Windows Media Player" at "view" -> "file markers" I want to embed the video object in an HTML page and be able to let the user jump to these markers via JavaScript or such. I managed to do this with Internet Explorer ודןמע JavaScript but I can't get any other browser to access these markers or any timeline function for that matter. I need to be able to do so cross browser. any ideas? I have looked all over for an answer to this, but haven't found a definite way to do it yet. I am updating my audio page (a demo track list for getting composing work) and getting rid of my flash audio player in favor of embedding .mp3 files, or adding them with the HTML5 audio tag. What I would like to be able to do is link into the page, and have that link autoplay a specific track out of the 10-20 that I will have on the same page. The problem is I am extremely new to scripting and have no idea where to even start with this. The reason I want it to be able to autoplay specific tracks is so I can market a specific track, and have that person (who is already expecting to hear the music on page load) not have to then look through the track list for that one track I was promoting and click play. The php side builds the page properly, though it took some time to get the table rows onmouseover and onmouseout functions to work for row highlighting. In my javascript function, the writeln() calls are for testing to see if the even is even firing. but nothing gets written to the page. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. So far so good. I also want to trigger a simple onclick which makes an ajax call a remote PHP file. I have tried ontouchstart instead (see above code) but still no luck. If I add the onclick to a static image rather than an embed instance, it works fine. But with the embedded video, it's as if the video blocks the onclick event for javascript to pickup. Does anyone know a way around this? Hi, I currently created a video uploader, but when the video is too big in size, the page seems to be not doing any until the video is completely uploaded. I want to put somewhat like "loading.. please wait" script until the video is not completely uploaded. Thanks. //Ana I'm currently working on a project and I am doing a bunch of image switching. I'm having a problem with the following... I have seven medium image objects and one small one. One is at the top and the other 7 are below. When one of the 7 is clicked, it then becomes the one up top and the one up top then takes the place of the image clicked. This needs to be able to happen no matter which of the seven i click. Also when you click one of the seven it runs a script to change 9 other images in the center of the page. this isnt too important because i have it working already. What i have is, each of the seven images run their function that changes the 9 center images and then it runs another function. What i need is for that function to determine which company for example(shaws, lowes, target) the top image belongs to and replace the image that was clicked with the top one. But i also need to replace the NAME="" and ONCLICK="function()" with the proper ones for the original company up top. I am facing some wierd issues in achieving as desired.
