JavaScript - Validate Select List Asnd Text Box
Hi there. With the below script I'm trying to validate if the user enters a quantity in the text box they must select a reason for ordering and if the user selects a reason code but forgets to enter a quantity it should alert to enter a quantity. Right now it validates the reason code but not the quantity. Please help.

I have written a javascript to validate this form [validate(username, lastname, email, password)]. On submit this javascript function will be called and hence form get validated. I am passing all the arguements(username, lastname, email and password) to the javascript function.. Is it possible to make me a code such that it should call an individual function for each field in the form.for ex:if i have not entered username, last name in the form and attempt to submit, only username arguement should be passed to the function as it comes first in the form. In other sense i want to validate individual text field validation of my form. So can anybody help me.It will be very needful to me. Yes - I need a script that will validate user input against a text file - exactly like the one in the left sidebar at http://www.oilpatchfuel.com/Pages/Welcome.aspx titled "Delivery Area". Thanks! Hello everyone, after a few days of looking i give up i just don't know what to look for or how to do it. on this website "http://www.hunlock.com/blogs/Everything_You_Ever_Needed_To_Know_About_Video_Embedding there is a section called How to make a video select list. I have been able to replicate and modify it to my liking how ever i have one issue. i can't make my videos fullscreen. The videos have and give the option for full screen but the fullscreen doesn't work. i prefer this kind of code because it allows my webpage to select a video without changing the webpage and play it, i find it much more smoother then then multiple embedded videos in tabs (i don't even know what to call it so thats what i call it) just incase the website doesnt work or something i will post the script first part<div id='videoPlayback' style='width: 435px; height:350px; background-color: #800000;'></div> then <div id='selectDemo1' style='display: none'> <object width="425" height="350"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-is63goeBgc"></param> <param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-is63goeBgc&autoplay=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"> </embed> </object> </div> <div id='selectDemo2' style='display: none'> <object width="425" height="350"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/c6SHsF1n9Qw"></param> <param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/c6SHsF1n9Qw&autoplay=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"> </embed> </object> </div> then <A HREF="#" onclick='return playVideo("selectDemo1","videoPlayback")'>RvD2: Ryan vs. Dorkman 2</A><BR> <A HREF="#" onclick='return playVideo("selectDemo2","videoPlayback")'>Beatboxing Flute </A><BR> and finally<script type="text/javascript"> function playVideo(sourceId, targetId) { if (typeof(sourceId)=='string') {sourceId=document.getElementById(sourceId);} if (typeof(targetId)=='string') {targetId=document.getElementById(targetId);} targetId.innerHTML=sourceId.innerHTML; return false; } </script> i'm not sure the exact functions or how to write this kinda stuff from scratch so if you have any helpfull additions or suggestions please let me know. Hello All, I currently am trying to make a long list of checkboxes function like a multi-select box would. I would like to be able to shift-select two checkboxes and have for example, the X number of boxes in between all be selected. Is there an efficient way to go about doing this? Thanks in advance. so, I can pass a value from a select list to another function which then decides which function to call, but I want to cut out the middleman, and make the values the function calls, and call them directly on the onchange... I imagine something like this: Code: <select id="select" onchange="this.value"> <option selected value="function1()">Funtion 1</option> <option value="function2()">Function 2</option> <option value="function3()">Function 3</option> </select> is it possible? |
