JavaScript - Show Hide Page Elements
I have a page that is generated using php. Below, the pdf newsletter for each month is embedded directly into the page. What I want to do is have some javascript that when the link for a month is clicked, the embedded pdf expands below and when the user clicks on another month, that newsletter is hidden then the one they clicked on gets displayed; so only one newsletter is displayed at a time.
I have searched all over the internet and I havn't found anything that will solve my problem. I was just wondering whether there is a way to hide an element on another page after clicking on a button? Basically, I have a login page, and for testing purposes, I want it so when you click a button, it runs some javascript in a file called ajax.util.js, and I have a jQuery file attached to the HTML file as well (http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs.../jquery.min.js), and I am using Google App Engine, which im not sure whether thats relevant. I tried using the show and hide functions provided by the jQuery file, but no luck, i want to hide an element which is a link with ID admintools. I have also tried getting the element by ID and changing the display style to none and hidden but still no luck. Im not sure whether its only possible to hide elements in the login.html page. What I want it to do basically is click on the submit button in the login page, it will then run a javascript function which redirects you to index.html (which i am doing using window.location), and then hides an element in the index.html page (id=admintools). It works but the page reloads and returns the user to the top of the page not to the "shown" div. Any way to send them back to the shown div or stop the reload? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Hi. I have a form and in the form is a checkbox use as a switch to hide and unhide a two textbox. When the other textbox is hide, the other is unhide such as the code below. When the user click the submit button on the first time and there is an error, it reloads and the id="fieldset.-in_honor" hide because it is set to hide initially but not empty. My problem is, I want to show the fieldset whichever is not empty after submit button is click and there is an error so user will not enter any more information to the other field. Is that possible? But what I do want, is that two differen things appear on the page and in the different location of the page. And this script does not read the second <div>. So the result is, that the only first <div> appears. Here are some images of what I want to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated! The following question is on the form: "Was ITK used?", and you're supposed to be able to pick "Yes" or "No" (by radio buttons), and this I've already fixed with no issues. But what I CAN'T do, for some strange reason, is that when you've clicked "Yes" on that question, it should appear another question: "Does customer have ITK in their network?", and when that comes up you're supposed to choose between "Yes"/"No" with radio buttons there as well. BUT if you click "No" on the first question (Was ITK used?), the other question (Does customer have ITK in their network?) shouldn't appear... Do you understand what I mean? How do I do this? Hi I'm new to this forum, and i need help with something, i think its easy to make but... i am making video blogging website and i need someone to make Hide or show menu, for example: When someone click on: Season 1 (it should show) Episode 1 Episode 2 Episode 3...
